Eurobricks Emperor Bonaparte Posted April 7, 2007 Eurobricks Emperor Posted April 7, 2007 Hey, you guys are forgeting my Black Pearl!!! The Black Pearl :-D Today I printed some scans of offical sails, so i'll start experimenting with the sails either tonight or tommarow (depending on if I can get to a fabric store) ;-) I just want to get TONS of holes in it like the movie, but I'm not sure the point of sils with holes, it kinda defeats the purpose, don't ya think? :-D Is your Black Pearl just a computer design or did you actually build it? Norrington Posted April 7, 2007 Posted April 7, 2007 I Don't have the Info wrong!Wikipedia did! And Where did you get this info? But then where does the gun deck gun's go into play? Sorry about not seeing BP Sir... Can I just call you sir? I have a model of the Black Pearl on my shelf, and for the Intercepter, on a vacation, I was looking for pirate books or refences, and there upcame a PotC visual dictionary. I didn't check it out from the library, but i looked at the Norrington page, and lo and behold, there was a picture of the Intercpter, with the caption "The Intercepter is a 18 gun brig, with guns on 2 decks." I'm preuming that the're counting the f'o'castle and qaurter deck as 1 deck as a single deck because the're at the same level. So I counted the cannons aside, then muliplied by 2, then I had confirmed the books description. As for how gundecks come into play, that seems simple. Two ships run along side each other, or start shooting from a long distance, most of the ships have most or all of their guns on a gundeck. All clear now? Quote
Cutlass Cole Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 WHERE????!! I've been looking everywhere! I need a book like that AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaarggggggggghhhhhhhhhh! I know that. 8-| You where saying: 8 on the main deck, 6 on the qaurterdeck (Counting the the two swivel guns) , and 4 on the Forecastle. I don't see the word " Gun deck". :-P Also, I don't count the swival guns, realy... Quote
Norrington Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 Search "Pirates of the Caribbean" at your local library. Also, I count swivlers, so in your standards is 16 guns, but in mine its 18. Quote
oo7 Posted August 25, 2007 Author Posted August 25, 2007 I have found a fourth Black Pearl of note! *y* (Click) Quote
El Bucanero Posted August 26, 2007 Posted August 26, 2007 A brick built Pearl... Interesting. The name Avojak seems familiar to me. Is he a member of EB? Mr Tiber Quote
Scouty Posted August 26, 2007 Posted August 26, 2007 Interesting ship oo7! [The description says "2 made from LEGO" that sounds like TLC made 'em. Perhaps, now, say '3 made out of Lego ;-) ! Quote
Captain Charles F. Harlowe Posted August 26, 2007 Posted August 26, 2007 To erease the Confusion arising: The 2Decker or 3Decker Terms relate to the Number of Decks which run all the Way from Stern to Bow and have Cannons located on it. Sincerely, Captain Charles F. Harlowe Quote
