Jargo Posted April 29, 2012 Posted April 29, 2012 (edited) In that article they mention local residents. Haven't they all been turfed out so this lead balloon can occupy the space communities once inhabited? oh, and it's 'emigrate'. you are an immigrant but you emigrate. Omicron Squad Leader Posted April 29, 2012 Posted April 29, 2012 (edited) oh, and it's 'emigrate'. you are an immigrant but you emigrate. Type "define:immigrate" into Google and see what comes up. 'Emigrate' and 'immigrate' are both words, and both synonymous. Were to? On the up side we have an NHS . Who else can say that . Canada; it is my favourite English-speaking country. The NHS is slowly deteriorating, unlike Canada's health care, which is pretty good. Edited April 29, 2012 by Omicron Squad Leader Quote
Kelmanator Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 You know what, it sucks to be British. I mean, ok, not as bad as some other countries, I certainly wouldn't want to be american, but this country can be depressing. I mean, full on recession, messed up parliament, and it is the only place on earth where it can be flooding and drought-ing at the same time! This calls for angry dragons! :dangry: Quote
Scorpiox Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 and it is the only place on earth where it can be flooding and drought-ing at the same time! This calls for angry dragons! :dangry: Funny that, eh? We're getting soaked down here, yet we need a few more months of this to make a difference. The recent winters have been far dryer than usual. But hey, the drought is far worse in Spain. I find myself disheartened at all the early morning drizzle, when actually I should be praising the Lord for whatever we get. Quote
