Hi everyone! I haven't really posted much here before, but I figured a nice sized MOC would suffice as an introduction post! :D

This is a model I built for a LEGO event at Tekniska Museet in Stockholm. We were asked to build large MOCs pertaining to the City Space theme, and I figured a house on Mars should be close enough!

The Robertson family (Lost in Space parody...) live in their modular Martian colony, built by the Futuron Corporation. Complete with everything you need to survive on the Red Planet, from microwave stove and quantum oven to Mars-TV! The Robertsons grow their own food in the adjacent agricultural module.

Around 2500 pieces

68x64 studs

44 bricks tall

Hope you like it!

Yes, this certainly does suffice! From what I can see, it's an excellent creation, filled with great details. There's some great designs in there, that I may copy some time if you don't mind :sweet: .

Well done, and thanks for sharing! And welcome to Eurobricks!

Unreal creation. The smoothness and the sheer number of orange wedge plates, with details rolled make this a creation to remember. Good use of the...waterfally pieces on the roof. Reminds me of the old Epcot ride in the globe. Can't recall the name, but it was the first thing that came to mind here. I especially enjoy the greebly solar panels, along with the airlock entrance.

A fantastic job.

Fantastic creation Myko! I'm totally blown away by the excellent overall design of this model - from the SNOT finish of the surfaces to the effective detailing of both the outside Martian surroundings and the futuristic interiors. Very impressive work!

Thats very cool! I can definately see this on mars one day.

So much to love about this! The exterior looks like incredible with the building's shaping and color scheme and then there's all of those wonderful details inside as well that make it a home. A great way to introduce yourself!

Very cool! Great details and a very cool look. I'm going to have to get some of those trans-blue curved panels; they look great. Plus you've given me some good ideas about what to do with all those trans-orange cheese slices I used to fill out a PAB cup a while back...

Great work, Myko! I love how clean, smooth, and refined this is, and the building to me manages to look retro-sci-fi in its clean whites and curves and believable for today at the same time.

Wow, this reall is a greT MOC! The smoothness and the clean look is

Fantastic work!

Near future stuff like this really impresses me... it's scI-fi yet still seems 100% believable.

checked it out on flickr to see all the great detailing, nice work on both the sleek clean exterior and detailed interior.

very impressive!

welcome to EB

Great work Myko.

Instant recognisable as Mars.

Well planned and executed.

Thanks for the kind words everyone! :sweet:

It really looks like a martian settlement; the solar pannels, furniture, but mostly the red/orange sand. love it! Kinda miss the 'danger, danger' robot though.

Hello!

That layout is very impressive! You are using the big panel elements very well to construct a futuristic building for which could be related in near future. :classic: You've also spent a lot of time (and tiles ) for the interior layout which is a very nice layout. Finally, I also like the exterior with the orange sand which is typical for images of planet Mars. :classic:

Cheers,

~ Christopher

this is a pretty cool house indeed! :classic: i like what you did with the large white and trans-blue panels. it really gives the model a modern/futuristic touch. well done! :classic:

"Like it"? I LOVE it! Awesome creation! Looks very sleek, and the color combinations is very good. Trans blue and orange make very good contrast. Good work, and thanks for sharing!
