Petzi Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 A tiny collection for me : One 7810 from my childhood One 4512 On the Moc side : A red version of the 7760 (don't want to pay the high price for the blue windows) A diesel engine that is too ugly to keep A first version of a belgian 41 serie autorail ( still not satisfied with the front and the windows) Early version of a belgian 77 shunter, still need to find some bricks And one day, I'll get myself those trains I couldn't afford when I was young : the 7740 and 7745. But I have another expansive hobby, I'm a wannabe pro sound engainer. Nos those toys cost an arm and leg, and don't leave me much of a budget for bricks :) Quote

HenrikLego Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 (edited) I own two 12v train sets, and two seperate train cars from my childhood: I've recently started to collect the new trains: Anyone have some cheap emerald night and Maersk train cars for sale? I'm currently building these two sets from bricks I own/buy: Edited August 9, 2011 by HenrikLego Quote
domboy Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 (edited) I'm pretty new to Lego trains, so I've only got a few so far. Bought new: 10194 Emerald Night 10219 Maersk Train Bricklinked the parts to build: 10133 BNSF Locomotive 10014 Caboose 10015 Green Passenger Wagon Work in progress (still acquiring the parts) 10013 Open Freight Wagon 10016 Tanker 10017 Hopper Wagon I don't have much track or any of the PF bits yet. When all is said and done I plan on having two trains: 10219+10133+10013+10016+10017 - I don't plan on getting into 9V so BNFS will having to hook up with the Maersk if it wants to do anything other than sit around (though I am hoping to get the headlight powered) 10194+10015+10014 - yeah I know, a British Steam Locomotive with an American style Caboose. But if it's going to go around the Christmas tree it's gotta have a Caboose.... I don't really care that a lot of this may not match (what real train does?), but from what I've figured gathering the parts to the My Own Train rolling stock seemed the cheapest route to go to get more stuff to pull. I really like the sets, matching or not, and that's what counts... Sort of off-topic... where do you all get those little train graphics?? Such as: 10194 Emerald Night Edited August 10, 2011 by domboy Quote
dr_spock Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 I have one 7710 Push Train I bought when I was in university. It has been heavily modified. Quote
Sir E Fullner Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 I have two engines on my layout. No. 10194 "Emerald Night" RC Steam Engine To me, if you have a layout on a 4x8 sheet of plywood, two engines is enough. Quote
Pazoozoo Posted August 9, 2011 Author Posted August 9, 2011 I have bought recently the new red cargo train in double. So I have all currently available trains in double: - Maersk train - Emerald Night - Passenger train - Cargo train - Red Cargo Train. So I have 10 trains for now. Quote

medib Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 (edited) I've been into trains since 1999. It was the reason that I really started getting into Lego. It was the lamest (in my opinion) trains in the 9V train line, the 4561. I have 3 copies (two in box just for train elements - spare track and motors). I also have: 7745 Highspeed train (9v converted) Metroliner (both 4558 and 10001) Clubcar (4547 and 10002 x4) Freight Rail Runner Load n Haul Train Cargo Railway (4559) Freight n Crane Railway Cargo Train (4512) Cargo Train (7898) High Speed Train (4511) +1 extra engine, +3 extra passenger cars (I brought this train to this years brickfete) Hobby Train Motorized Hogwarts Express Hogwarts Express (4708, 4758) My Own Train components (black train engine, and other rolling stock) Target Exclusive Lego Express Deluxe (blue passenger train car) BNSF train engines TTX train cars Cargo Double Stack (x2) Sante Fe Superchief (1 Limited Edition, 2 Regular Editions - 1 converted to a "B" unit) Sante Fe Cars (2x Cars I, 5x Cars II) One of my club cars were "sante fe'd - Toy Story Western Train Maersk Train x2 Emerald Night Stuff I just acquired or forgot to mention 1 3677 Red cargo train engine (1 on the way, as well as 1 green hazardous waste box car) 1 brown box car (modified design from the 7898 Cargo Train) 2 7722 4.5 Trains 1 2126 Train Cars 1 3225 Western Train 1 7819 Mail Van (goes with the 7740) Edited October 8, 2011 by medib Quote
ZueriHB Posted August 12, 2011 Posted August 12, 2011 Got my hands on some 3677 sets, and built new consists: 3677 Red Cargo Train, both with second motor, sadly no PF lights. PF stuff is in the Maersk container, but also no PF lights, should try it tough. Would make a great maintenance train. Quote
legoguy475 Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 (edited) I own Six Locomotive, most with trains, but three of the locomotives have been disassembled and rebuilt into popular American locomotive models such as the GP38-2 and the SW1200. iamFLIP Posted September 23, 2011 Posted September 23, 2011 I just recently started getting into Lego trains: 4558 Metroliner 10020 Santa Fe Super Chief 10022 Santa Fe Cars - Set II 10025 Santa Fe Cars - Set I 10194 Emerald Night 7939 Cargo Train (2x) 3677 Red Cargo Train (2x) 4841 Hogwarts Express 7597 Western Train Chase Quote
Vindice Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 I don't have too many, and all recent Cargo train (2010) Passenger train (2010) hogwarts express (2010) and TS3 Western train chase My son is steam train mad though and has now seen the most recent catalogue so he wants this years new ones plus the Emerald night. I would like duplicate hogwarts expresses to do more carriages too. He keeps siphoning off funds for Lego SW purchases so I'm thinking of trying to convince him to do a Coruscant railway and station. If anyone has any ideas for inspiration then please let me know. I've got a cool idea for some animations centred around it. Quote
