Kikuichimonji Posted July 31, 2006 Posted July 31, 2006 Last.fm is a website that tracks which music you listen on your pc. The best part of it is that you can create groups and create group charts and such. Now, I don't know if anyone is up for it, but I've created an Eurobricks group. It can be found here. If you aren't a member of last.fm yet, you need to sign up first. That should be self-explanatory if you follow the link. When you've signed up, wou'll need to download a small program that tracks the music you listen to. If anyone signs up, post your member name here and I'll approve you as a member :-D Quote
Jipay Posted August 2, 2006 Posted August 2, 2006 Sounds interesting. I guess the real question is : what about privacy ? I own licence for all the wmv I have on my computer, but what about people with mp3 ? The idea sounds liek fun though, we could have a Eurobricks top 10 musics every week :-D Quote
Kikuichimonji Posted August 2, 2006 Author Posted August 2, 2006 I have both legal and, well, "less legal" music on my pc. It picks up both of those just fine. I've been using it for 2 months or so, and I've never really had any privacy problems. I see that in my first message, I didn't mention the fact that it also comes up with recommendations of artists you may like, and also shows people with the same taste as you. And do realize that for a top 10, we need at least 15 members. Come one everyone, sign up! It's fun :-D Quote
Kikuichimonji Posted August 7, 2006 Author Posted August 7, 2006 You're in, just 13 more to go :-D Quote

JINZONINGEN73 Posted October 2, 2006 Posted October 2, 2006 (edited) Hmm... how's it work? I clicked on a music file, it started playing in WinAmp, but then... ? Edited October 2, 2006 by JINZONINGEN 73 Quote
Kikuichimonji Posted October 3, 2006 Author Posted October 3, 2006 You need to download a plug-in for the music player you use first. You can find them on the site. When you've installed the plug-in, it will automatically record the songs you play on your pc. Quote

Kikuichimonji Posted October 4, 2006 Author Posted October 4, 2006 Odd, it should work then. Did you tick the plugin box? I use WMP and you have to do that...but that would seem pretty logical to me. It might also take a while before your songs appear. Quote
