Captain Green Hair Posted June 15, 2011 Posted June 15, 2011 I finally got proper gold in the mail as well, though did did send me 2 instead of 3 packs. Ah well, I'm a happy camper. Does anybody else notice that the soldier torso's in the London Escape set have a bit of a pinkish print? I've asked for replacements, but they didn't get much better. Quote

The paint on the hats isn't too good, though. Quote

Captain BeerBeard Posted June 16, 2011 Posted June 16, 2011 Do you think you can post a picture? What is your location? Sure i'll post some pictures. My location is Crown Point, Indiana USA. That's about 20 miles away from Chicago. Here is the bad hat print. Hope that helps. This should probably be it's own thread. Quote
Big Cam Posted June 16, 2011 Posted June 16, 2011 I agree, I moved those posts to this new topic. Quote
David Thomsen Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 My soldier torsos are noticably pinkish too, but fortunately I have dozens of good ones from 2009. It's a bit sad that their QC got worse, though - aren't things usually supposed to get better? Quote
Aalak Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 Yes I've got the same problem. my officer looks only just a bit pinkish, but the soldier is totally pink. Quote
Big Cam Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 I will examine mine and take pictures from all PotC sets tonight. Quote
______ Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 I would of thought it would be awesome if mine came in pink! Mine look more red than any pinkish sort of colour on them. Also Aalak, you say your soldier is totally pink, have you got any pictures as I would be interested to see him? Quote
Derfel Cadarn Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 (edited) Mine too, it clearly shows up in contrast to the white legs. The torsos should match the white legs, but there is definitely a pinkish tint. I also have the same problem with the hats, as it seems that both hats have what looks like a white scratch on one side. I'm in the UK and the set was bought in the UK, so it must be a worldwide thing. Shame, as the officers torso is a nice design. For the amount of money that this set costs, it's unaccecptable! Aalak Posted June 24, 2011 Posted June 24, 2011 I've got my replacements today, the officer torso is a bit better than mine, the soldier torso has a nice misprint on him. ... So I only exchanged the officer... still a bit pinkish ... But I've got no problems with the heats... mine are fine. Quote
yys4u Posted June 25, 2011 Posted June 25, 2011 Yea Mine are pink too, I thought it was just my imagination because of the pink or flesh heads. Didn't have the others on hand to compare so I just ignored it. Never thought to ask for replacements.. Quote
KristofBD Posted June 25, 2011 Posted June 25, 2011 (edited) I had the same problems (pinkish print and misprint on the hat) I asked for replacements as well, but the replacement hat was actually worse . The torso print was slightly better on the replacement torso. Overall it is less pink than my lion knight soldiers (Kingdoms line), but still I agree with Derfel Cardam: given the high price of the set, this is unacceptable.
