June 19, 201113 yr Nice job on this MOC and the stickering. Do you have any advice on how to get a match between the color you print on the sticker and the color of the brick or do you simply not bother trying?
June 19, 201113 yr Author Nice job on this MOC and the stickering. Do you have any advice on how to get a match between the color you print on the sticker and the color of the brick or do you simply not bother trying? Thanks 'jonwil' and on the subject of colour matching.....trial and error sorry to say, do dummy runs on paper and set/adjust the background colours via say MS paint till you get it right. Lucky for me, it's mostly on white though on colours normally signs are usual a different colour/tone to the bricks.
June 19, 201113 yr Author Right then, I'm going to show you what will be comming over the week, yep this week ! And that might just be for starters, so keep on watching !
June 20, 201113 yr Author Look carefully at the walls....someone asked for something didn't they ? Can't pick it.....okay..... And no I don't like Whitesnake ! Comments welcome !
June 20, 201113 yr Author Thanks 'LCM', someone asked for a girly calendar on the wall, so I thought why not...I doubt anyone has done it before ! More work will be done today on the roller door section....I have nearly finished the front wall of stage two (that will be finished this in about 6 hours), so keep watching and suggesting too !
June 21, 201113 yr Author The first piece of machinery is done, and it's so simple - if you like it copy it ! More to come today, so keep on watching ! Edited June 21, 201113 yr by lightningtiger

June 21, 201113 yr Author copy and paste... copy and paste another nice looking machine LT, this is one cool looking store keep em coming whats happening with this so called Pub and the continuation of the Mall? way too many projects at once it seems Thanks 'Tan Tile' for your comments, the shopping centre is still on, but is on hold for a week while I build this and all going well should be finished within 7 days. Then it's back to the shopping centre and finally a pub and maybe an old cinema....not sure still yet ? Keep those comments comming everyone !
June 21, 201113 yr LOL @ the calendar. Nice one, LT. Angle grinder and other additions are cool too. :classic:
June 21, 201113 yr Author Thanks 'icy brick' and 'AJ' for your kind words, I spent about an hour on LDD tonight designing the rest of the building with it's drafting suite as well. I believe in trying to be original in ideas and design. Keep on watching as there is more to come tomorrow !
June 21, 201113 yr Look carefully at the walls....someone asked for something didn't they ? Can't pick it.....okay..... And no I don't like Whitesnake ! Comments welcome ! Thanks mate, she looks awesome. Some ideas for the inside: fill the racks with the shovels with more and maybe add a row of pickaxes too. Mostly those racks are filled to the max. And some gas bottles for cooking and welding. The blue top of the middle rack is great for displaying paint cans. Did you already include a fire extinguisher?
June 21, 201113 yr Author Thanks 'L-space' for your comments and suggestions (glad you like the calendar ), extinguisher is next to the spot welder, more tools in the store comming and paint is sold in the Mitre 10 store....though I could give this place a Solver Paints agency ! Dam, more stickers then if that was the case ! Keep those comments comming and Brick On everyone !
June 21, 201113 yr Author Now I need a little input here, space might become a little tight to included a lot things in the third and final stage of this build so what machinery should I now install..... Drill Press.....Milling Machine.......Sheet Metal Folder......Pipe Bender. Already a gas welding rig is going to be made in a few hours, oh....should I include another computer - like in the drafting suite....the designer is a little old school with his drafting board he sits up high at. Brick On Comment On !
June 22, 201113 yr Update and more to come..... Comments welcome and keep on watching ! I immediately recognize that as a sheet metal brake. Looks just like the one my grandfather had in his shop. Nice work. Been doing a bit myself tonight. ~LCM
June 22, 201113 yr Author Thanks 'LCM' for your kind words, that only took me an hour of scratch building if that. Now this minus it's hoses and torch/handpiece. Comments welcome still and keep on watching !
June 22, 201113 yr Author Stage two is now 98% complete, well 100% on the outside......stage three is next. Comments still welcome and keep on watching !
June 22, 201113 yr Author I must ask the question, doesn't anyone like this W-I-P ? Look I have spent money on this and really money is very tight for me at the moment.....now I'm going to see this one though, but feedback helps give direction and helps me budget the project. Anyway, I have started stage three....digging up as much tan as I can and trying to find more white 2x3 window frames....photo update later on today.
June 22, 201113 yr It's a very nice MOC. I really like the individual pieces of machinery that you've built for it. A brilliant use of parts. I think the issue is that the forums are slow. The last two weeks of June and the first two weeks of July a lot of people take vacations, this causes the interwebz to slow down. Keep up the great work. ~LCM
June 22, 201113 yr Author Thank you 'LCM', true what you say, I guess I shall go on and finish this creation.....I still have surprises in store for this one. Brick On !
