LegoCityMann Posted July 7, 2011 Author Posted July 7, 2011 B-OM-19B Thanks for the replies icy and sput. Yes that's a crane on the roof, and yes the joke is from Crocodile Dundee. OK, Now that a few Bricklink orders have come in, I've managed to complete the Theater.. I decided to use the Town Plan style of seating S4 Night at the Theater Standing room only! Brick on! and as always, questions, comments, suggestions, and criticisms welcome. ~LCM Quote
lightningtiger Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 The theater looks fantastic 'LCM', keep them comming and Brick On ! Quote
Tamamono Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 Great job, LCM, the interior of the theater looks much better with the extra seats. The sign is also pretty well done; do you plan on adding a tile built sign/a decal to it? Quote
LegoCityMann Posted July 8, 2011 Author Posted July 8, 2011 B-OV-34B Here's a feature in my town I don't think I've shown/discussed much. The Stoneford Park. You can see the water tower near the Stone Creek. The creek flows into a cistern under the bridge where it is pumped up into the water tower to be processed for use in the city. Here you can see a Civil War era cannon in the park under the memorial tree honoring the citizens of Stoneford who fought in all conflicts. A small pier jetties into the river so people can sit and watch the water or simply do a bit of fishing. On the opposite side of the river a wall to keep the river from flooding out the town if the water level rises. Here you can see where the park fits in the town, right next to the beverage store. lightningtiger Posted July 8, 2011 Posted July 8, 2011 Wow, that's a tall water tower with a gold top ? Interesting 'LCM', I must say a nice park to boot as well ! A railway next ? Quote
sputnik16 Posted July 8, 2011 Posted July 8, 2011 I like the civil war cannon monument. You should give a backstory about the town like when it was founded and why, or something like that. great job- Sputnik 16 Quote
icy brick Posted July 8, 2011 Posted July 8, 2011 I like the bridge most Yes trains... no reallly they´ll fit perfectly to the town Quote
medib Posted July 8, 2011 Posted July 8, 2011 I just wanted to say that I am very impressed with the look of the town, and the subtle complexity of the details. Its a great job and I really enjoyed reading and will continue to enjoy the progress of the growth of the town. Thanks for posting your work LCM. Ben Quote

The park is taking longer than I expected, However I have begun work on a train station which incorporates a large amount of Lime bricks. Also I am starting planning on a Service Station. One that's not in LT's poll. Based off this. Stay Tuned ~LCM Edited July 22, 2011 by LegoCityMann Quote

LegoCityMann Posted July 23, 2011 Author Posted July 23, 2011 B-T-03E So, the train station is "done" for now. A bit more detailing and some track eventually. Stairs up to the platform. The clock over the doorway into the station. What's this the back of the station is OPEN??? There will eventually be a fence on the platform and you'll get on the train from inside the station. Some glass block on the backside letting light in The Ticket Counter and behind it the Station Masters desk and storage areas Comments, Questions, and Suggestions always welcomed. Brick on ~LCM Quote
lightningtiger Posted July 23, 2011 Posted July 23, 2011 Nice station so far 'LCM', keep going and Brick On ! Quote
Captain Zuloo Posted July 24, 2011 Posted July 24, 2011 I wondered if you'd get that joke ;) Brick on Gah, why is it that it's the guy who is in exile from the country for tax fraud remains an Australian icon to folks from the rest of the world? Anyway, I'm really liking this town you're working on. The theater is a particular favourite, but I'm not too sure about the blue walls. The tan and red looks brilliant, and the yellow seats even work with the black. But those blue walls look a bit out of place. I guess it ultimately comes down to the parts in your collection, which is probably why you picked blue, but if it were a possibility to Bricklink some parts, I would highly recommend getting more tan for the walls. Maybe even white, but the blue...just not right for a theatre. Also, perhaps you could put a bar in it? Cheers, Capt. Zuloo Quote
