I haven't posted a MOC in a while, I've been busy working on tis monstrous SHIP. So far it's at about 3000 bricks. I'm estimating the finished product will be around 12000 parts. I've only started building the second and third floors down, the end product will have about six or seven.

Here's the progress so far.

First up, an overview of the SHIP

I took a bit of a break from the main ship a while ago and made some support vessels

Left to right: LL-465 Hawk Dropship, LL-734 Armadillo Troop Deployment Vehicle (TDV), LL-237 Light Assault Tank, LL-111 Bat Fighter

I hope you enjoy the progress of this project and have some ideas of how I can improve.

I wish! Sadly, most of the parts I am using are not available in the colours shown. Those trans-yellow windscreens? Nope. Although I'm sure I could find a solution, the price tag is probably enough to put me on the streets!

This reminds me of X-COM, in a good way... especially the interiors of the big ship. :classic:

Thank you for your comment Egosheep. Work has just begun on the first of six hangars, this one is for storing the LL-237 Assault Tanks. Pictures soon.

Most impressive.

I hope you can keep to your count of 12k bricks for the entire ship, but as i read what you are planning (6 hangars.. really?) you might go way over that mark.

Especially if you're going to do an interior of the entire ship.

I found when building such a large vessel it's better to do it in sections.

(And i'm allready sketching a design that's even bigger  )

Good luck, and i'll keep watching this

Thanks for the advise BasOne, that is a great ship you've got there! I've taken you idea of building in sections. I haven't really had much time in the past couple of days to work on anything, but I have gotten a little bit done. The first gundeck is almost done, and I've built two of the six sleeping quarters. Each will have space for 48 crew members. Now onto the pictures.
