Pandasushi Posted June 26, 2011 Posted June 26, 2011 Absolutely amazing! the level of detail is phenomenal and the hull damage just tops the whole thing of nicely! Quote
ZO6 Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 Very creative story and ship, Rufus! The ship is different than most stuff that we see, quite unique. You've used a number of interesting building techniques that I like, and the greebling/details are fantastic. The PF lights are icing on an already supremely tasty cake! Quote
LEGO Guy Bri Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 Excellent craft 'Rufus'. It looked great docked at the expo. The small details make the ship and the damage was an excellent addition to it's design. Very well done Quote
apemax Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 What a brilliant space ship Rufus. I always try to put retractable landing gear in my mocs too. The lighting and damage make this really unique. Very well done. Quote
Guss Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 Outstanding, I love it.. the lighting really add a lot to it! Quote
Derfel Cadarn Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 I don't visit this forum much but this ship really caught my eye. I love the look of it, especially the front. So many neat angles and details. Plus an interesting back story! Very nice work indeed, you've made me want to build a spaceship now! Quote
Rolli Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 That is one nice ship! Somewhat remembers me of the Slave 1, don't now why. I especially like the tailboard - great work! Quote
Big Cam Posted July 30, 2011 Posted July 30, 2011 OK, I thought I had commented on this and I guess I had not. I ran across this in conversation and I'm bumping this so that anyone else who missed it can take a look, because it's awesome It's just cool looking, the lights and that blue panel of bricks give this just an awesome glow. I for some reason don't really like the look of it from the angle of the very first picture but from every other angle, I love it. I really can't figure out why. The greebling work and attention to details is wonderful. And not to forget Pandora that landing Pad looks pretty slick. Great work Rufus, sorry I didn't notice it earlier. Quote
Julandrius Posted July 30, 2011 Posted July 30, 2011 That's some amazing work you 've got there man :D Keep up the good work. Quote
22kane Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 This is one of the nicest MOC space ships I have seen. Great job on this. If this was a Lego offering I would definitely buy it. I really like the functioning lights on this, outstanding work!! Quote
robotimms Posted August 3, 2011 Posted August 3, 2011 Beautiful ship...love everything about it. The sliding docking doors and hull damage are great. Love the lighting and the concealment of the landing gear. Fantastic build! Quote
ReaperOfDeath Posted August 3, 2011 Posted August 3, 2011 I love it, the shape is fantastic, and all the retractable gears, and the detail you gave into the builds - real passion :D. I love it :D Quote
Rufus Posted August 3, 2011 Author Posted August 3, 2011 Thanks for the comments, everyone! She should hopefully be on display at Canberra BrickExpo, if anyone's down that way. I love it the design is flawless! Great work on the angles too Rufus, I like the story behind this it really reminds me of a spaceship from the thunderbirds. Yeah, there's also a resemblance to the Futurama ship. Neither were intentional. Originally, I had planned a rocket-like thing with three equally-sized engines protruding from the sides, but the hexagonal main body proved too difficult to achieve. The octagon worked, and it evolved into this. Very nice work indeed, you've made me want to build a spaceship now! Please don't, yours will instantly put mine to shame! Quote
