5150 Lego Posted July 13, 2011 Posted July 13, 2011 I'm surprised nobody has posted this yet: Micheal Bay ripped off his own movie What a douche! This is nothing new in movies. Movies recycle bits and peices from other movies all the time. Bay is not the first to do this, nor will he be the last. Becides, had no one told you i bet you never would have known and its not like that 10 seconds of footage is going to ruin a movie anyhow. Quote

Really though, I don't think it's so common in massive summer tentpole movies today. I think it's pretty lame. I can't imagine Spielberg or someone lifting a scene from another movie and interspersing it with the action of his film. This wasn't a case of simply showing a gloomy castle or bubbling lava to create a setting, nor was it a tongue in cheek Wilheim scream dropped in. As VBBN stated, it's a very important part of the movie. So it gets from me. But it's not like I thought Bay was a good director before anyway. I'm honestly sorry if that opinion rubs Transformers fans the wrong way, I won't offer any more opinions on the film here. I only posted that because I thought it was funny. Quote
