Posted July 2, 201113 yr I have 8070, and 8465 + about 200 misc parts. I want too bild jeeps and TT with RC, but i have limited wallet. which set have maximum profit price\useful parts? Im selecting between 8295 (about 94$) and 8297 (about 174$)? or another chose will be best? sorry for my language
July 2, 201113 yr The 8295 Telehandler (pictured below) has some parts that could be used for a RC Jeep or Trial Truck. The 8297 Off-Roader is probably closer to what you want. It can be fully motorized by modifying the design a bit. I would actually recommend buying the parts you need from Bricklink to build Sariel's Jeep Wrangler Rubicon or Sariel's Land Rover Chassis. Nico71's yellow Trial Jeep is also great.

July 2, 201113 yr You will most likely need a rc receiver thay will be about 30 euros And one xl moter and small moter, however if you want a diff lock , winch or gears you will need another small moter. I would also go for the off roader as it has the most useful parts you are going to need. Edited July 2, 201113 yr by Alasdair Ryan
July 2, 201113 yr By far, the cheapest way of obtaining Lego Power Functions items is to order directly from Shop.Lego.com . Here is the link to the Power Functions items; you can change the country and language at the top-center of that webpage to match your needs. The Power Functions Frequently-Asked Questions (FAQs) webpage has a lot of good information.
July 3, 201113 yr As is always the way, if you had a bit more money an 8043 excavator is a bargain way to get the PF parts (except the XL motor), and once you subtract the cost of the PF bits the price per piece on the rest is very low. If you sell off the tracks and associated parts the rest are almost free.
July 3, 201113 yr Author 8043 expensive for me and i dislike yellow color. But im agree that if subtract the cost of the PF bits the price per piece on the rest is very low. + it include 2 sets of RC, so 2nd set isnt nesesary at first. lego shop isnt avalible in my country and i cant buy parts at bricklink. 8295 cheaper than 8297, so 8295+RC+xl motor costs about only 8297. but there are a lot of yelloy and not all parts are useful, against all usful details in off-roader

Do you mean 5 Universal Joints I have both models and I think that the Front Loader 8265 is the better model, for some reason I don't like the Telescopic Handler But it really come down to what you want from the models or what parts you want. Me I tend to look at what parts are in the kit now, instead of what it builds up to
