CombatBrick Posted July 2, 2011 Author Posted July 2, 2011 Very nice! I love this! A fine use for the Gorilla-costumed minifig! -Severus Thanks. The Gorilla fig is my favorite out of all collectible minifigs. Haha, I was going to do something similar You missed out a step though - the mysterious transition from yellow to fleshie Beat you to it, eh? Transition from yellow to flesh is the Evolution (in LEGO form) haha, that's an awesome set-up! Thanks. Quote
phil skycrawler Posted July 2, 2011 Posted July 2, 2011 That is cool but there's two of the same monkey but there is no thing to fit there so good Quote
CombatBrick Posted July 2, 2011 Author Posted July 2, 2011 That is cool but there's two of the same monkey but there is no thing to fit there so good It meant to show an "aping humans?", i.e. when monkeys started to walk on two hind legs only. Quote
Hoboman Posted July 2, 2011 Posted July 2, 2011 Nice set up, now you just need to get them on a single base and it would make a great MOC to keep on one's desk. Quote
CombatBrick Posted July 2, 2011 Author Posted July 2, 2011 Nice set up, now you just need to get them on a single base and it would make a great MOC to keep on one's desk. My daughter took half of the picture elements for her zoo. Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted July 3, 2011 Posted July 3, 2011 Very clever presentation brickarmy! Now you only need to include a futuristic version of the species. Great job! Quote
CombatBrick Posted July 3, 2011 Author Posted July 3, 2011 Very clever presentation brickarmy! Now you only need to include a futuristic version of the species. Great job! Thanks a lot KielDaMan. Spaceman would certainly be a more pleasant alternative then a suggestion I got to follow through with the zombie Another idea suggested was to add a Roman and/or Egyptian between caveman and modern. ED-209 Posted July 4, 2011 Posted July 4, 2011 Very cute! The monkey with the bone made me hear teh 2001 theme in my head! Quote
LuxorV Posted July 4, 2011 Posted July 4, 2011 Very nice concept and spectacular execution, brickarmy I'd just like to ask you to reduce the pic size to 800 pixel maximum, as per our Member Guidelines Quote
Darkdragon Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 Excellent job. I think it looks great the way it is! Quote
Flobnomdob Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 That's very funny! But, of course, now it needs the Series 5 Chimpanzee! Quote
Tanma Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 This brightened my day. The only thing that vexes me is the big time skip between fish and mammal. A frog could have worked as a placeholder for amphibians, although nothing could be done for Lego's lack of non-snake reptiles. Also not sure if clams belong in the sequence, I would guess one of the worm phylum would be first, if anything because of similarities with hagfish and lamprey. Details aside, where did you get that long bone from? Is it custom? Quote
legobodgers Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 This is the piece and it appears in these sets. Quote
Squishy Stelactite Posted September 18, 2011 Posted September 18, 2011 Haha. Nice. Shouldn't there be a reptile in between the mouse and the fish though? Quote
Rook Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 Shouldv'e added a frog between the fish and rat. And then shoulded the part about how life began too. Quote
