I have agree it would have to have unique pieces other wise what is the point. That said I would love to see a Road Grater

I do agree, a road grater would be nice, but maybe it resembles a bulldozer (was it 8275?) to much in functions? What I want is something RC that I can use to shovel all my kids toys from the floor, to a nice pile in the corner of the room. A road grater would do the job.

My vote goes to the following:

-A road grader

-A new space shuttle

-A new, more complex helicopter similar to the Whirlwind Rescue

-A forwarder

-A trash truck with side mounted grabber

-A real super car with AWD and working gearbox.

And, my ultimate wish for a flagship model is a remake of the 8855 Prop Plane. Add more functions and a radial engine, and it would be one fantastic model.

I would love to see a Forwarder or a huge new bull dozer. Possibly a new fully functional crane or something along those lines, other than that I dont really mind.

As several others have already expressed, I would love to see some sort of aircraft, be it a helicopter (with a working swashplate, naturally), airplane, or space shuttle. There's lots of potential for new functions and parts there.

I would also like to see some sort of animal, like the Control Center II dinosaur, possibly with real walking function.

i dont think legos forwarder if thay made one would be as good as mine the one that i am building for Dluders (once its finished) however i do hope that thay bring out new longer pneumatic rams these could be found in lots of stuff, but one thing i have noticed was the amount of 'digger/excavator' models came out before the 8043 model,so if that says any thing we might see a new crane?

Ideas:

1.A true supercar like the 8880 with suspension, working steering, working transmission, engine bits and lots of body panels. Something designed to look like a sports car (Ferrari, Lambo etc) without looking like any specific sports car.

Wheels should be similar to those on say the 8448 Super Street Sensation and should come in whatever color LEGO is using for parts in bricklink Metallic Silver these days. Would be cool to see doors that pivot upwards like on various Lamborghini models (scissor doors I think they are called)

The color of the car should be anything other than red or black.

2.A highly detailed helicopter with realistic functions, something like the classic 8856 Whirlwind Rescue only bigger and better. Either bring back the old rotor pieces (with the rotor piece, ball-type gear thing and the ring with all the tow-balls on it) or create new pieces that do the same job only better. Inspiration should come from the Bell Huey and similar helicopters. Since we had a rescue helicopter this year, make this model into a fire fighting or utility helicopter (or maybe even a police helicopter)

3.A detailed model of a car engine (a V8 or something) with working pistons that go up and down, camshafts that rotate, maybe valves that move up and down and whatever else.

4.Highly detailed motorcycle with all the features modeled out like the engine, gearbox, shocks, exhaust, seat etc. Should be done in "naked" style like a Harley or like the bikes they build on American Chopper rather than one covered with panels.

5.A technic fighter jet would look cool with flaps, rudder, landing gear, jet engines etc. Maybe make it one of those ones with the swing wings for even more play value. And they could use whatever exemption in their "no weapons" policy allowed them to produce the recent creator Sonic Boom jet aircraft set.

I´m voting for a fully remote controlled fork lift. Pneumatic lift and tilt from PF driven pump and switch. Drive and steering with PF.

It could be any kind of fork lift, and it could be quite complex to build if designed right. Also it would be great fun to play with :)

I would like to see some kind of "Double Decker Bus" and scale to Technic Figure (not Minifig) if possible.

It will have all RC functions for the following:

1. Motorized Steering with working steer wheel for bus driver

2. Motorized Transmission (3+R or automatic) to driving wheels

3. motorized/pneumatic Doors

4. motorized/pneumatic Suspension to raise and lower the truck!

5. All Lights

Is it a little too hard for LEGO or not?

I don´t think, because they have 3rd generation of technic motors, which have all different connector, 1st gen. has 4,5V, 2nd and 3rd gen. has 9V, but different connector, and NXT servo

It could be a great set for introducing new parts (like how the bulldozer from 2007 was really simple mechanicly, but was a good platform for releasing thye PF system).

Ok so my ideal forklift would have:

two new high speed motors (no internal gearing making for lots of cool drive trains), one to drive the compessor and one to drive the front wheels.

three new servo motors, one to steer the rear wheels and two to operate the two pneumatic valves.

Three section extending forks

Pneumatic tilting of the forks using the the standard pneumatic cylinder

Pneumatic lifting using THREE longer cylinders (one lifting the forks inside the inner rails using a chain linkage, the other two placed either side of the outer rails to lift the middle and inner rails using chain linkage)

Auto pressure cut off (built using exiting cylinder and pf switch.

Two new remotes (with two recievers) , giving 4 proportional channels. (drive, steer, forks lift, forks tilt). The compressor would be powered straight from the battery via the auto pressure cut off valve.

New parts required are:

Longer cylinder (x3),

Servo motor (x3),

High speed/ungeared (L?) motor (x2)

Proportion transmitter (x2),

Possibly new reciever if the current one does not support propper proportion control of servos (x2)

And NO airtank! I honestly think that circuits powered by motor compessor are better without them.

How does all that sound? I imagine the new parts would open lots of doors functionally and give us AFOLs who have lots of Lego already a bigger reason to buy it instead of making it out of the parts we already have. I also think it would be lots of fun to play with, especially if it came with a couple of pallets that you could put mugs and phones and tv remotes on

In the past we have had:

I think it's time that we had a large fully RC forklift That shouldn't be too hard to achieve with the current PF components.

I'd be happy if it was all PF with linear actuators, although I wouldn't complain if it had pneumatics and a compressor, and possibly an air tank too. It would have to have a two or three section telescoping lift, and It would be good if it had some mechanum wheels/omniwheels/vector wheels too, like these:

Oh, and perhaps a different colour... :sceptic:

In the past we have had:

You are right, you just choose wrong model. There was always larger model first and mini model second. So, it will be mini Unimog.

Posted (edited)

but we haven't had a large forklift since 2001, and that one only had 235 pieces.

Not strictly true: 8416

edit: @JunkstyleGio: Oh.. right. Sorry

There was a bigger forklift in 2005!

Sorry, my bad. You are correct. Brickset lists it as 'Fork-lift' rather than 'Forklift' (without the hyphen), so I missed it in my searching. Plus it isn't yellow!

It would still be good to have a fully RC forklift though! :smug:

Edit: I have corrected my original post
