Starbager1 Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 the vid is finished and it seems that the mainboom should be two studs longer. why? look the video so cool crane Quote
dfs473 Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 very good 3ffermann! i will install this crane when I become the 9397 Quote
bord4kop Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 Very good, nice and 'simple'.. It looks and operates quite well. Quote

Pat-Ard Posted February 5, 2012 Posted February 5, 2012 Hi efferman, I'd like to add your logging crane to my Unimog... Something like this: But I can't "read" the base of your logging crane. The pictures are good, but I can't rebuild it properly. Do you have any more details? THANKS!!! So far Pat Quote
efferman Posted February 5, 2012 Author Posted February 5, 2012 do you need pictures from the part under the turntable? Quote
Pat-Ard Posted February 5, 2012 Posted February 5, 2012 Hi efferman, yes, I tried to rebuild it with your pictures posted on flickr. But no, I can't see the inner parts. Thanks again. Pat Quote
efferman Posted February 5, 2012 Author Posted February 5, 2012 i have made a few pictures from the gearing below the turntable 101_9146 von efferman auf Flickr i hope this is what you need Quote
Alasdair Ryan Posted February 5, 2012 Posted February 5, 2012 I am lacking the right parts in sr3d ,mayby i should of tryed LDD,oh wait missing parts in that as well. Quote
efferman Posted February 5, 2012 Author Posted February 5, 2012 (edited) you can use the old triangles too. by the way, your picture is not working Edited February 5, 2012 by efferman Quote
Pat-Ard Posted February 5, 2012 Posted February 5, 2012 (edited) Maybe I've got the LDD. But I'm too "dumb" to get those LAs and car dans connected. @efferman: I hope you won't get angry, because I rebuild your crane in LDD. Next will be the base for the Unimog. Pat Edited February 5, 2012 by Pat-Ard Quote
Alasdair Ryan Posted February 5, 2012 Posted February 5, 2012 (edited) Pat you saved me some time, maybe you could make a telescopic boom or you could send me the ldd file. Edited February 5, 2012 by Alasdair Ryan Quote
Pat-Ard Posted February 5, 2012 Posted February 5, 2012 (edited) @Alasdair Ryan: I'll send it to you, but first I'll check with efferman. And maybe you can help me with those impossible connection... @Efferman: Do you have any issue, if I send the LDD to Alasdair? Pat Edited February 5, 2012 by Pat-Ard Quote
efferman Posted February 5, 2012 Author Posted February 5, 2012 my ideas are free to use for all. there are only one requirement and one appeal. request: dont sell them appeal: a hint that it was my bad idea would be nice, but its not a must have. iam glad if you are use my ideas Quote
technicfan Posted February 5, 2012 Posted February 5, 2012 You have got some nice ideas efferman . I would like to do a fold up crane like the 1st pics that you have in the 1st post for the new logging truck. Something that would have the same reach as the original one on the logging truck but can fold up like the 8258 crane truck. Quote
Pat-Ard Posted February 5, 2012 Posted February 5, 2012 @efferman: THANKS!!! For sure. You earned the credits!!! @Alasdair Ryan: I'll PM you. Pat Quote

Quote
technicfan Posted February 5, 2012 Posted February 5, 2012 (edited) Yeah or something that just folds up like a PALFINGER crane that still has the grab attached to it. Using 2 LA's. Basically same style as the 8258 crane truck but is simpler that can be used with the logging truck functions. Space won't be an issue as the logging truck will be turned into a semi. Edited February 5, 2012 by technicfan Quote
efferman Posted February 5, 2012 Author Posted February 5, 2012 (edited) a normal knuckleboom crane could not fold into drive position with a attached grab. There is no space for it. i will look what i can do with the epsilon design Edited February 5, 2012 by efferman Quote
Montage Posted February 6, 2012 Posted February 6, 2012 It would be real nice if some one could make a pdf for this. ( Cough Cough ) Haha. Quote
