well guys, finally i got my 9397 earlier than been thought.

the crane fits, but not with the battery box. and the steering of the crane is not funny with the battery box switch and the gearswitches.

But this is not a problem, the truck gives me enough reasons to rebuild it complete. want an example?

You have got some nice ideas efferman . I would like to do a fold up crane like the 1st pics that you have in the 1st post for the new logging truck. Something that would have the same reach as the original one on the logging truck but can fold up like the 8258 crane truck.

nice crane though. It gets a surprisingly large reach for such a small ram size.

I added your claw arm design to my log truck. Works great! Since I have removed the battery box, the claw fits perfect behind the cab. I only have 1 minor problem - the arm is over the HOG steering. Now I have that to tackle.

Efferman, did you end up finishing the crane arm on the log truck?, did you have and instructions to build it?. I had decided to change my logging truck to a semi but the trailer doesn't work with the crane so I need to turn it around.
