efferman Posted February 6, 2012 Author Posted February 6, 2012 It would be real nice if some one could make a pdf for this. ( Cough Cough ) Haha. A pdf with which content? Quote
timslegos Posted February 6, 2012 Posted February 6, 2012 Really nice and simple extending arm, well done. tim Quote
Montage Posted February 6, 2012 Posted February 6, 2012 (edited) A pdf with which content? A pdf of the lxf that Alasdair Ryan just made. By the way, nice design eff, this knuckle boom crane is exactly what I was looking for to put on a Cat 584 Forwarder. Thanks in advance. Edited February 7, 2012 by Montage Quote
efferman Posted February 9, 2012 Author Posted February 9, 2012 well guys, finally i got my 9397 earlier than been thought. 101_9150 von efferman auf Flickr the crane fits, but not with the battery box. and the steering of the crane is not funny with the battery box switch and the gearswitches. But this is not a problem, the truck gives me enough reasons to rebuild it complete. want an example? 101_9151 von efferman auf Flickr Quote
timslegos Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 The crane looks great! Does it work well on the model? tim Quote
efferman Posted February 9, 2012 Author Posted February 9, 2012 with one word: no! or iam only to dumb to coordinate gearswitch and battery box switch to get a smooth moving of the crane. i think its time for a new RC mod Quote

efferman Posted February 13, 2012 Author Posted February 13, 2012 You have got some nice ideas efferman . I would like to do a fold up crane like the 1st pics that you have in the 1st post for the new logging truck. Something that would have the same reach as the original one on the logging truck but can fold up like the 8258 crane truck. something like this? maybe i could make it a bit more narrow, to get the turntable more to the center of the truck. timslegos Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 I feel like that guy is staring into my soul . nice crane though. It gets a surprisingly large reach for such a small ram size. tim Quote
efferman Posted February 13, 2012 Author Posted February 13, 2012 it is much possible if you use the gravity. look this vid to see how it work the folding out Quote
nelly Posted January 3, 2013 Posted January 3, 2013 something like this? maybe i could make it a bit more narrow, to get the turntable more to the center of the truck. hi all just joined after searching for "lego hiab" and came across this, i have read the full post, and Efferman, please can i use this in my Scania R500 that i have started to build. many thanks Nelly Quote
nelly Posted January 3, 2013 Posted January 3, 2013 thank you, i will post a pic when ive have finished Quote
gmshades Posted February 11, 2013 Posted February 11, 2013 Efferman,' I added your claw arm design to my log truck. Works great! Since I have removed the battery box, the claw fits perfect behind the cab. I only have 1 minor problem - the arm is over the HOG steering. Now I have that to tackle. Quote
technicfan Posted November 25, 2013 Posted November 25, 2013 Efferman, did you end up finishing the crane arm on the log truck?, did you have and instructions to build it?. I had decided to change my logging truck to a semi but the trailer doesn't work with the crane so I need to turn it around. Quote
efferman Posted November 26, 2013 Author Posted November 26, 2013 no sorry, it is waiting on the shelf for finalizing Quote
Junpei Posted November 26, 2013 Posted November 26, 2013 Nice cranes! I'm also looking forward to the crane arm for the logging truck. Quote
