Hello all. This is my latest moc that i've been building for a while now. The AP17X is a sort of a upgrade of a old moc i made quite a few years ago now. The original was called the AP17 Aries so i thought seeing as this is a upgraded version i'd call it the AP17X Super Aries. It's mainly used as either a transport plane or a personnel transport plane.

It's a VTOL aircraft so it can land just about anywhere, The ramp at the back can go up and down, It has retractable landing gear and it also uses skids instead of wheels. Mainly because i don't have the right sized wheels. It uses two engines on the end of either wing for going up and down as well as one at the back to stabilise it. It also has two main engines built into the body. C&C is welcome as i always want to learn. There is more pictures here: https://picasaweb.google.com/apemax18/AP17X?authuser=0&feat=directlink I hope you like it. Finally here's the pictures:

Not bad design there 'apemax', but too many studs for my liking sort of reminds me of my MB A-10 Warthog....MB really suck !

Is it armed ?

Is it a space or air....craft ?

Anyway, nice work 'apremax' and Brick On !

Hi lightningtiger.

No it's not armed. I thought about it but i decided on just making it without. It's mainly a aircraft but it could be used in space too.

Thanks. :classic:

A well done job you did there.

I really like the overall shape, but I would suggest to not use yellow or other colors as used for the landing pad, it would make the look better. Except from that, very nice build.

I like the overall shape. It feels right for a space plane.

Not sure I like the look of the ramp hinges, but thatis a minor element in the overall plane.

Wonderful Job. :sweet:

Hi Hollander.

Yeah i didn't actually have enough of the black plates to do it all but i tried to make do with what i have. Thanks. :classic:

Hi Daniel's Dad.

Yeah it took me ages to get the ramp hinges right so the ramp would come down in the right place and it would look good. I managed to get it working properly but it could look better. I just couldn't think of how to make them look any better and working as good. Thanks. :classic:

Interesting, I like it overall shape, and anyway Lego are supposed to be full of studs! ^^

one critic : you need bigger engines ! I think they look a little small for the size of the plane, but anyway, we always need bigger engines!

Hi Guss.

Are you talking about the engines on the end of each wing? because the round 4x4 bricks in this picture are the main engines:

Thanks. :classic:
