The problem is that the clues have lead us to two main people, I am not sure how much further we can get with these two clues, we may need another?

My heart tells me that skywalker is dark but their are more clues pointing to Carley (Huge Grin, Hammer). Does anyone want to use their witness card?

I'm back from taking English courses. I suppose I could say: "Oh No! This person died! This is a tragedy! We must blah blah blah", but that's really useless. This is not the time for grieving, this is the time for action. There's nothing really for me to say. We've got our clues, both of which could be fabricated, and we've got a suspect.

I'll wait until it's time for voting, but in all honesty I don't think that there's any chance we've caught a bad guy so early.

MOD NOTE:

With roughly 13 hours left in day one, there is a troubling lack of votes and action among the players. Remember, voting is mandatory.

It looks to me like this is the work of a gang of dark ones. I guess at least 5 or 6 of them, so I`m hoping that at least 12 of you people whom I have known all my life, grown up with, work with, or I am related to, are good. Over the next few days, we should all be looking for witnesses for this terrible crime,

Some things here don`t fit in. I am suspicious about accountants who hammer their pussies. I want to hear from ScottyPie about his mysterious cloak change from brown to black. I don`t really understand why my highly trained and professional boss doesn`t remember anything about the scene of crime, though of course it is a terrible shock. There appear to be a few people throwing out false leads, or maybe I`m imagining it?

Eskipo, you and me are going with the General back to the scene of the crime to find out more

Well, what we found out was this:

they weren’t wearing a wedding ring, and there was definitely no mark from one.

I presume this refers to the killer. With modern relationships being what they are, it doesn`t help us much.

If my guess on numbers is anywhere near ballpark, we have something around 30 witness interviews to make in the 4 days I think it will take to solve this, and around 1/4 to 1/3 of the answers might not be true. So far we have 3 witness clues. I think we will have to step it up a bit, townspeople.

Town Elder, could you please remind us what the town guard saw when we investigated the murder scene? Any signs of violence? Any footprints? Anything out of place or missing?

Well that rules out Ram from those wearing black, but doesn't really help us further.

Don't forget that several of us may not survive with killers on the loose, and therefore might not get chance to help find clues.

That`s why I guessed about 30, rather than 38. The value of those witness statements is higher, the sooner we get them. If you get killed you can`t get a clue.

So that clue leaves Camanakin and Carly.

I feel Camanakin should be our top suspect above Carly. Why? Because Carly didn't have to put incriminating evidence on herself out there for the whole group to see. She could've said she got the same clue or made up one that leads us off her tail. And using her witness card on the first day shows she really wants progress.

It would be even worse for her if she didn't share, the fact is there, shes smiling from ear to ear, where I'm barely smirking.

Hmm, I see what you mean now, it could be either, maybe the ID cards will help?

Absolutely, I have nothing to hide, you'll also notice, I have no weapon.

As certain members of this village would testify to, I don't mind exposing myself, but I'm starting to think that perhaps we should search for another clue as well. Any takers?

Yes, with all this attention on me, I feel compelled to use one of my cards to see if we can't get more details.

witnesscard.png

I have nothing to hide, as people said, I am wearing mainly black but I'm not even sure if my race can smile:

At this stage, I think Camanakin is the most likely, as I do find it hard to believe that Carly would incriminate herself with the clue, it's just too risky a strategy.

As I said before, it'd be too risky for her not to, but of everyone shes smiling the highway, if not the only one smiling. Plus lets not forget that you're holding a sword, I know your not exactly smiling, but it's still a weapon.

With pleasure:

If you want to look for a clue, you know what to do :classic:

So you are really expecting us to overlook the hammer your holding? If you ask me, everything is pointing at you right now.

I agree it doesn't help us much, but only because it doesn't clear either Camanakin or myself  Otherwise it's a great clue, on the presumption that we can trust it.

Using the magic of numbers and accounting, I find that we could possibly get up to about 7 witness clues per day. We've only used 3 today, so I think we should get one or two more to try and get this cased solved. Time is running out, and we need to start voting too *huh*

It looks like we are out of clues, he is my clue "You could have sworn the killer was smiling"

Looks like I got a duplicate clue, which was said to happen if there were no more clues.

Now I know people are suspicious, so by all means user your card too, but I feel it might be a waste.

With the information given, I will not get penalized for not voting, so unless some investigating happens on Carly to prove her innocence, I'll be voting for her, also please investigate me if you please, I am a townie and have nothing to hide.

I would ask every one to examine the clue provided by Camanakin carefully, especially if it seems to clear him of murder. There is a chance there are no more clues by now, but if there is, would you really trust a clue presented by one of the two top suspects at this stage?

I would not expect any of you to accept a clue provided by myself if I searched for another one now.

So you are really expecting us to overlook the hammer your holding? If you ask me, everything is pointing at you right now.

Until we find the cause of death, I really think you should overlook the hammer, yes. I might as well claim you held poor Leigh in a head-lock until applesauce filled his poor old lungs.

It seems we're in the same boat, Camanakin :hmpf_bad:

I would also welcome an investigation on myself to prove my affiliation to the town. And for those of you voting in the coming hours, I would ask that you trust me, who presented a clue in good faith, instead of Camanakin, who only attempted to search for clues when his own life was at stake.

As I previously started, please check my alliance, I have nothing to hide.

You mean, trust you for holding out on your evidence for so long, and whom perfectly fits the profile? Forgive me for not throwing up a card while we were waiting still to hear back on yours. False accusations call for drastic measures, so I decided to find out everything I can, and I was right to wait, because it turned out to be a duplicate clue. As I've said before, if someone doesn't veloce me then throw out another card, get another duplicate clue and then help me vote you off since you perfectly hit the target for the suspect.

Dear Misstress Kupp, I'm not entirely sure what your intention is with the above vote. If you wish to lynch Camanakin, you should unvote me and vote for him instead :classic:

Why must it be Carly or Camanakin? You guys have completely overlooked a third possibility - that one of the Witnesses is scum and is lying.

That said, since it's been received twice, there's a good chance the smiling clue is legit.

So the real question is, since we don't have much to go on, do we trust the Witnesses?

Okay, Theres been a lot of talk recently and a lot of stuff that has been said. I think that the evidence that has been presented sheds a lot of light on the killer. Camanikin is looking the most guilty to me. So I will
