legodac Posted July 9, 2011 Posted July 9, 2011 Well here we are again, in the place to be when youwant to share something; EuroBricks is the best place in cyberspace to do that. Without further due I would like to share one of myearly creations on LDD, the old version. BTW, I would like to note that the reason the Hydropoles are the place they are is because of The Emerald Night, it was to wide togo around the tracks I had built so I not so simply moved the poles to theoutside of the shelf. Looks not great, I know, but oh well. Like I said, I designed this on the original LDD, Ithen ordered the parts from Lego and when received I began building my trainshed. Inspiration came from an obscure website and my wifeof course, since she allowed the layout in the first place, I figured why notadd some cool creations. My research was found online, I used a picture of a100 year old train shed as my guide to designing. I liked the fact that itcould only service one car, keeping things simple. My ultimate goal is to provide fiber optic lighting tothe interior, which is actually not that hard to do. Fiber optics are cool, soare mini-lights if your fiber intake isn’t what it should be. (See, “Light upmy Lego eh”) Sorry, don’t hold your breath, the game plan dictatesthis will happen in about 15 years from now. I’d like to thank you, all of you, for this chance toshare a little of what I hold dearest, Lego creations, mine and yours. I onlyjoined a week ago and I have seen more creations then I ever thought possible,I plan to comment on every one. Thank you…legodac (future #9) Quote
henryhotspurs Posted July 9, 2011 Posted July 9, 2011 Welcome, welcome welcome! Certainly a great creation with which to introduce yourself. I like it alot! Quote
mrblue Posted July 9, 2011 Posted July 9, 2011 well, the color is a bit odd, but the design is very nice! I also think that what you said about keeping things simple and make a shed for only one engine has been a very good choice! what I see from your photos is that you have built also a beautiful water tower, and I hope to see a post about that in the near future. you sure have lots of surprises for us! have a nice train lego day mrBlue Quote
legodac Posted July 9, 2011 Author Posted July 9, 2011 The truth will be seen soon my friends, or, I will be posting the water tower soon eh. Thanks for commenting Brickers, you have made my day. Quote
lightningtiger Posted July 9, 2011 Posted July 9, 2011 You really like using different colours in your creations 'legodac', but I will say I like this build (oh, nice water tower too)! My only bad vibe with this shed is the doors, classic doors as used on 10027 train shed (which I own one of) would have been a better choice...but still great designing and Brick On 'legodac' ! Quote
LEGO Guy Bri Posted July 10, 2011 Posted July 10, 2011 Great train shed 'legodac'. I like the desighn and unique color choice. Really great work Quote
Abu Dun Posted July 10, 2011 Posted July 10, 2011 Although the colour you've chosen seems to be a bit odd at first, it works quite well and certainly adds to the unique feels of your build. The water tower is great as well and I'd really like to see where that tunnel leads to - as I guess the tracks are encompassing the whole wall? Quote
Catanas Posted July 10, 2011 Posted July 10, 2011 Though I'm not hugely won over by the colour scheme, the moc itself is fantastic. It really helps set a delightful scene, while looking functional too. I do like the brick built doors too, as it gives you a chance to work outside the constraints of the moulded doors size! Quote
