October 3, 201113 yr I have finally finished my Unimog. OMG it's huge. I think that, although it's a great model, it needs some modification. This is how I modified it. Wow!! Fantastic mods!! IMO this should be the official set. The color scheme is perfect, and it is way better than the red and grey liftarms. tim
October 4, 201113 yr Made a LDD for my streetsweeper: Here it is: I've added on one of the brooms some brushes! LDD file here Very nice I like much better with the brushes :) did u find a way to lift it up and down yet?
October 6, 201113 yr Very nice I like much better with the brushes :) did u find a way to lift it up and down yet? Well as a matter of fact i did... It's manual and for now just a protype.. And so I rebuilt thte prototype in the correct colours and to a little video. It hard to film and demonstrate at the same time... Edited October 6, 201113 yr by JunkstyleGio
October 6, 201113 yr junkstyleGio You made a nice job of the sweeper i like you it disengages from the pto when you raise it.
October 8, 201113 yr Author I added a pneumatic driven bed to the Unimog already some weeks ago. Some of you gave me the challange to ad a 3-side bed to it. Here it is! But I was inspired by Barman76 and his blue Unimog. He used a small LA for it. It is still in prototype stadium, so there will be some additional changes upcoming. See 4 more pictures in my flickr photostream. The pictures there also have a bigger resolution. Regards, Gerhard Edited October 8, 201113 yr by tripletschiee

October 22, 201113 yr I got a few orange thingies as a present and so I did a little color restyling on my mog... BTW: has everybody lost their inspiration to build more attachments?
October 22, 201113 yr I got a few orange thingies as a present and so I did a little color restyling on my mog... BTW: has everybody lost their inspiration to build more attachments? I'm glad to see this tread running again,I was thinking the same thing about it ha, did u get enough orange panels to do the whole plow?or do u like it in black?
October 22, 201113 yr Getting the whole plow in orangs was my orignal idea. But it looked a bit overdone. I think it looks quite nicely in balance!

October 29, 201113 yr I got a few orange thingies as a present and so I did a little color restyling on my mog... BTW: has everybody lost their inspiration to build more attachments? Nope, I do a Lego train display locally, so I had to redirect my efforts to that. Once it's done it's back to my Mogs
October 29, 201113 yr You can see my modifcations in my Brickshelf folder when it's public: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=487667 I did only some small mods: - black wheels with center caps - modified lights and some additional lights - modified exhaust - mechanism for unlocking the cabin - widened bed 2 studs - widened the mudguards for maximum trackwidth - some extras (snow plow, grass mower) - extra rear lights for the crane Only some small mods, but i think it's looking more realistic with them.

October 30, 201113 yr Did some tinkering after a friend visited the other day. He was quite impressed with the unimog but asked me why there wasn't a "closed" frame on the loading bed. Well there is now! Hi, very nice work. Do you have a part list for this loadingbed add-on?
October 30, 201113 yr The pics are public now Nice mods,i see you used some parts of Tripletschiee's mower as inspiration (which i made instructions for). Edited October 30, 201113 yr by Alasdair Ryan
October 30, 201113 yr Pics look great I love ur full orange plow, looks real like ;) has anyone made the gritter for the rear yet? Is it any good?
October 30, 201113 yr Nice mods,i see you used some parts of Tripletschiee's mower as inspiration (which i made instructions for). Yes, I used the part for mounting the mower to the Unimog, but the arm is inspired by the forest tractor and trailer (8049) because it uses fewer parts and isn't as heavy as the crane. November 1, 201113 yr I have viewed this site for some time and looked how amazing MOCs have you made so i decided to make my own too. So here it is: It has couple modifications to original. First I tried to follow U403 but I think its not looking like it. There is stronger and longer crane with manual operated turn. I cant found enough space to make it turn with motor. I added Stabilizers which use LAs and work with motor. Because there were not enough room for stabilizers on the middle I extend the model for 6studs (not sure for that) More pics here.
November 1, 201113 yr I like your modifications! It ads playability to the set. Could you please detail your stabilizer construction more, i have not seen a design like that before. tim
November 5, 201113 yr On his Brickshelf gallery, dokludi posted 10 pictures and links to two YouTube videos of his "Lego 8110 Unimog RC + AIRRIDE SUSPENSION -- 4 valves (controlled with 2 motors by SYD), 4 cylinders, 1 Airtank, 1 Infrared [Receiver]."
