February 12, 201213 yr @ brathendel: Your "test link" works, but your pictures are too big. Eurobricks has a policy whereby the Maximum Image Size is 800 x 600 pixels. February 12, 201213 yr I like the snow chains a lot! Where did you get them? And do they work well? Would you be able to make a video of the trucks functions? tim

February 12, 201213 yr Brathendel I like your changes where did you put the valve for piston on the bed Edited February 12, 201213 yr by bb15080
February 12, 201213 yr I like the snow chains a lot! Where did you get them? And do they work well? Would you be able to make a video of the trucks functions? tim The snow chains are handmade by myself. There ist a need for 6 meters of a chain and some brass wire for the connectors. For the cosmetics you need some shrinkable tubing. The snow chains are working pretty sweet, but the U400 still havn`t enough power (one XL-Motor) for a good snow clearing service. The snowchains: beta version: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/brathendel/8110-MB-U400/snowchains/8110_mb_u400_snow_chains_beta_001.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/brathendel/8110-MB-U400/snowchains/8110_mb_u400_snow_chains_beta_002.jpg final version: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/brathendel/8110-MB-U400/snowchains/8110_mb_u400_snow_chains_003.jpg I´ll have build it in ca. 6h... brathendel Brathendel I like your changes where did you put the valve for piston on the bed The valves for the load area or the cabin are right between the battery box. http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/brathendel/8110-MB-U400/8110_mb_u400_003.jpg One of the next steps is to replace the valves on the snowplow. Have you ever seen a snowplow whit big valves on the top? brathendel Edited February 12, 201213 yr by brathendel
February 12, 201213 yr Hi, today I spend some time on building. The trailer is not finished yet. Here are some pics. Tim
February 12, 201213 yr Would it not be possible, to use the Unimogs Pneumatic power to lift the trailer bed? From the pump, have it going to the switch that's standard, then between the nozzle and the switch, add another switch to take the air either to the the first nozzle, which the crane then uses and divides to 3, and the other option to the trailer to lift it up. It might mean a bit of work, and could take a bit of time. But I think that would superbly improve it and make it a lot easier to use, and more enjoyable. The trailer looks good there. It uses a dolly, and a normal trailer found on artics. Edited February 12, 201213 yr by Robert M
February 12, 201213 yr Nice trailer tim. Although i think grey or orange panels would look better than the green. tim
February 12, 201213 yr They could possibly look better. But the green makes it evident that it is for Agricultural use. Grey or orange would suggest to me that it's for highways maintainence, or the equivalent. However, with the front digger on the front, it looks like the Unimog is a replacement tractor with a much wider range of use and possibilities.

February 12, 201213 yr Thats it, that's the colour I was thinking of, or was it John Deere? Yeah, a green Unimog would look good. Anybody got the panels for it? I'm asking a lot for people today, I'll stop, honest.
February 13, 201213 yr It appears that TheScooterGuy on BrickShelf converted my cut off saw attachment to a LXF file. http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=496684 Looks much better. Looks like you are in need of a Bricklink order . tim Thanks Tim. I think I would have trouble getting that past my wife now. Maybe after income tax season. I would love to get some pneumatic cylinders and tubing. It is hard trying to use regular sized LAs in some situations. I guess I'm stuck with what I have at the moment. :-( Nice job on the trailer. It looks like a John Deere with the green and yellow color scheme.
February 13, 201213 yr I now can't help but think that the front bucket attachment would look a lot better if it was Black or Orange. It really does go well though, have you messed around with the Pneumatics yet?

February 13, 201213 yr Any building instructions for the green trailer above? When the trailer is finished I could make a ldd-file. Tim
February 13, 201213 yr How many green panels does that Trailer use? And building instructions would be nice, it's a good looking trailer.
