August 12, 201212 yr Hi Tim, Your model looks good, but you took away the Unimog its special feature: the great ground clearance by the "portal axis", german "Portalachse". regards Peter true, and where is the allwheel drive? and i dont think that the rear axles are be very flexible
August 12, 201212 yr true, and where is the allwheel drive? and i dont think that the rear axles are be very flexible Allwheel drive is planned but I´m out of parts (portal axle). Yes, the flexibility of the rear axles is limit but for indoor okay. Tim
August 12, 201212 yr Hey Guys, i think we are in the summer-season? But i`ll see you also modify die U400... It`s possible to plug two XL motors syncroniced in the U400 AND to save the 4x4-feature and the ground clarence... Driving modifications Sorry - but i can not provide a LDD File for it... Regards - Brathendel By the way: Has someone actually thought about a 2-speed gearbox for working and driving speed? My U400 on Brickself Edited August 12, 201212 yr by brathendel
August 16, 201212 yr realy cool, good job. What part(s) are u useing for the arrow(the blue part(s)). are u also going to make the arrow turned by a motor, i saw that they can do that .
August 16, 201212 yr Hi, I used 4x the BL Part 30565. Hmmm, yes it's turnable, but manually. I don't think it would look good to fit an extra batterypavk an motor on the trailer... I thought about using pneumatics to lift the upper part... Let's see... So far Pat

August 17, 201212 yr There are already so many attachments to the Unimog. We should create a database of all MOC's by the way...very nice Pat Edited August 17, 201212 yr by Korni
August 17, 201212 yr I like the idea of a MOC and MOD Database for the 8110. Too bad that I can't realize it. Pat
August 17, 201212 yr There are already so many attachments to the Unimog. We should create a database of all MOC's That's a great idea. Maybe we can index them all. Do we sort by builder and mod/moc?
August 17, 201212 yr i´ve got two ideas: 1.: a new topic in the Technic Forum here at eurobricks and everyone can add a reply with his MOC/MOD and writes a description and uploads a photo of it and with instructions 2.: someone of us (maybe dr_spock or Pat or I) creates a blog an there everyone with a MOC can send us an e-mail with pictures and instructions and a description an we put it into the blog what do you think or do you have another idea?
August 18, 201212 yr Just picked a NIB one up off ebay for a great deal. It arrived in 2 days....amazing. I opened it up today after the postman dropped it off and my 6 y/o wanted to start it right away. She was that excited about it.....more so than I am. :)

I opened it up today after the postman dropped it off and my 6 y/o wanted to start it right away. She was that excited about it.....more so than I am. :) I just finished the build with my 6 year old. It was very fun. I was able to pick the set up from the LEGO store using the Brickfair discount. Made the price a bit easier to handle. But I did end up missing the shortest tube piece. No big deal was able to cut extra from one of the longer ones. Now all I have to do is rebuild it with the NXT :) Good luck. Andy
August 19, 201212 yr I made a new attachment for my Unimog to that it matches its little brother, 9390 mini tow truck. The boom goes up and down via a pneumatic cyclinder. The winch is manual like the 9390. ================ Regarding database of all the MOC/MODs in this thread, I think the simple way is to create an index with all the pics of the MOC/MODs in the first post of this thread. No need to do a database program, blog or anything too complicated. Like the pinned review index Sinner has in this forum.

August 22, 201212 yr The database for all of the attachments is now online: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=73376
August 24, 201212 yr Hello guys! After nearly one year of only reading these 79 pages I decided to participate in this great forum. I have to say all of you have done really great work on the Unimog and gave me a lot of inspiration to modify my own Unimog. I also would like to present my very first MOC which is a pneumatic tipping trailer for the Unimog. The tipping mechanism is powered by the rear PPTO and the trailer can be attached to the Unimog with crane as well as without crane. Number of parts: 1,040 Length: 54 studs Width: 23 studs I designed the trailer only with LDD in the first place and I was really surprised and very happy that there were no problems during the final building process. The trailer is more suitable for a Unimog with a wider loading platform (also 23 studs) than the original one. Happy building, Stefan Edited August 24, 201212 yr by stefan_betula_pendula
