January 12, 201411 yr I have designed a snowchain for it. Read this for more information. http://mocpages.com/moc.php/360192 Nice. Is it 26 pieces per wheel?
January 12, 201411 yr Hi jabo, great that you got it run! Yes, the M-motor is a little bit weak. We also implemented an L-motor these days. It needed some additional wheeles because it skipped at the place i had the M-motor like yours. But now the fast gear can be really fast. I would be interested in your solution also your steering. The low gear is in deed slow but we wanted to have off road ability without compromise. Markus http://www.brickshel...mog/unimog3.mpd
January 12, 201411 yr Dose eny one have a good gear box moc for the MOG that dose not need Mutch modifications to the unimog it's self
January 12, 201411 yr Hi folks, did some pimping to the cab today... Openable doors and a new place for the air tank... Too bad, that it isn't available in black... So far Pat
January 13, 201411 yr good morning lugheads! im looking for a part list of nicjasons steering mod. i had found youtube and dropbox instructions, but it would be nice to see a list . or an LDD file regards doug
January 13, 201411 yr Yes, the M-motor is a little bit weak. We also implemented an L-motor these days. It needed some additional wheeles because it skipped at the place i had the M-motor like Hi Markus, Thanks for the new file. I've just finished the unimog chassis, from you instructions, I've eliminated all (hope it) issues, the biggest work ist made, next I'll make the rest of the submodels. Where did you made the changes? Only on the rear drive, or somewhere else in the chassis? If so, I've to rebuild it again. I think too for good offroad ability an L-motor will be better than an M-motor. I've extracted the rear drive: Greetings Alex Edited January 13, 201411 yr by afol1969
January 13, 201411 yr Hello Alex, the changes are only at the rear part, mainly the L-motor with its suspension. Now you can adjust the gear ratio of the L-motor with the two wheels at the back and for the XL-motor it is adjustable at the portal axle. Markus
January 16, 201411 yr Hi guys I have a quick question. I just finished installing an XL motor for driving following this video When I had the default gears in the wheel part (two 16 tooth gears) I felt it was fairly slow driving. But when I switched to the 8 tooth gear and the 24 tooth gear following that video it is now even slower. I am wondering how exactly the gears determine the speed and what I can do with the gears to make my mog drive faster. Thanks KH

It is impossible to fit anything larger than a 16 tooth gear in the top part.
January 16, 201411 yr There is no way to use Unimog portal axles with a ratio of over 1:1. It is impossible to fit anything larger than a 16 tooth gear in the top part. ah bummer guess I will just go back to 16 and 16 like it was originally Edited January 16, 201411 yr by KHthe8th
January 16, 201411 yr Hi folks, did some pimping to the cab today... Openable doors and a new place for the air tank... Too bad, that it isn't available in black... So far Pat I have been trying to figure out a way to make the doors open but don't have a clue how to do it. Are they attached with a pin at the bottom?
January 16, 201411 yr Hi Alex, i hope you can finish it. Ours (actually that of my son) works pretty well. And of course there are many minor bugs in the mpd-file i m sure. And i noticed that i can send you PMs only when... i have posted minimum... ...10 posts. if the 20 teeth wheel runs counterclockwise faster than the 8 teeth one then it free wheels because the left 8t wheel is only pressed down with slight force and lifted up by the 20t wheel. If it is slower or even clockwise then it is driven by the 8 teeth wheel from the XL-motor. quite cool and clever
January 22, 201411 yr Hey all, I am new to this Lego Technic adventure and I am so impressed with how many people are into this. I just purchased my UniMog and I am exploring all of the options for attachments and there are so many. One I am very interested into is a simple version of a SnowPlow and I have seen one on Youtube but now cannot find that had 2 pneumatic cylinders to move the blade left and right and a single cylinder for up and down motion, but I cannot locate the instructions or who made that one. I feel that Legos version is too complex for such a simple attachments. Thanks Arslan D Edited January 22, 201411 yr by Achwan86
January 22, 201411 yr You probably mean the b model. To make it you have to disassemble the crane and the grey bin. Here are the instructions: http://www.lego.com/en-us/technic/products/construction/8110/b
January 22, 201411 yr Hi folks, it's me again... Today I finished my first presentable version of a side plow... Still waiting for 10+ more orange 5x11 panels. So there's on blind spot :) It uses two large pneumatic cylinders. The next step will be a height adjustment... And some detailing stuff... What do you think? that is the LDD. So far Pat Edited January 22, 201411 yr by Pat-Ard

Here are the instructions: http://www.lego.com/...truction/8110/b Thanks for your response. i know the B model version, but I found the video again: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xGL37ui215A, not sure if this individual is on this forum but this is the plow I am referring to which is not like the B Model one. Thanks Arslan D Hi folks, it's me again... Today I finished my first presentable version of a side plow... Still waiting for 10+ more orange 5x11 panels. So there's on blind spot :) It uses two large pneumatic cylinders. The next step will be a height adjustment... And some detailing stuff... What do you think? So far Pat This looks great, I am trying to come up with a way to make a side plow myself, was looking at using one pneumatic cylinder and a worm gear to bring the plow up and down and the cylinder to just move it out into position and back. I am still new to this so trying to find parts available has been a bit difficult. Thanks Arslan D
January 22, 201411 yr Hi Arslan, some time ago a user posted pictures of his side plow. He used only one pneumatic cylinder... I'll finish the LDD tonight and post it... Pat

January 22, 201411 yr Arslan, look on page 59 or so... It was about october 2012 Pat Edited January 22, 201411 yr by Pat-Ard
January 23, 201411 yr Arslan, look on page 59 or so... It was about october 2012 Pat Pat, Thanks. I saw that, seems heavy for a simple side plow will have to look into alternatives to lighten the load on the side.
January 23, 201411 yr Hi folks, maybe I'll get this for my trailer: http://youtu.be/NQfeRlO23HY Pat Edited January 23, 201411 yr by Pat-Ard
January 24, 201411 yr I think there will be less questions on operation. If I say that this is an alpha version and the final result will be different. Thank you. Edited January 24, 201411 yr by Zmei_gorini4
January 24, 201411 yr Hi folks, did some recoloring to my Unimog... Looks pretty cool... Just some small parts and the stickers are missing. The parts are in delivery and the stickers just need to be printed... So far Pat
