zewy623 Posted November 27, 2011 Posted November 27, 2011 has anyone tried to put a 6 in-line cylinder engine in the mog? since that would be more accurate to the model (im not exactly sure about the 400 series but the 500 series have 6 cylinder engines while the 4000/5000 series have 4 cylinder engines for better weight distribution, for better off-road driving) Quote

Stephen Provoost Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 (edited) Looks great, maybe you could make a small video? hi, I've made a video of the cherry picker. ti's not very spectacular :) As you can see, there is a small hook, you can lift something with that, also rc @stephen Nice modifications! i cant wait to see the video. is everything remotely controlled? tim hello, almost everything is RC, except the compressor ( a small switch near the door) and the lifting of the cherry picker is also with a switch driving, steering, front output, back output is RC and when the cherry picker is attached, legs and rope to lift something to the cabin of the cherrypicker are also RC thank you Stephen Edited November 28, 2011 by Stephen Provoost Quote
timslegos Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 @stephen Nice mod! Your cherry picker mod is very realistic. Would you mind posting a video of the other functions as well? tim Quote

timslegos Posted November 29, 2011 Posted November 29, 2011 Hi, the connector is custom made. Bummer i was hoping i would be able to buy one. Would you mind posting a photo of the wire, in hopes that i might be able to replicate it? tim Quote
KopMaister Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 Bummer i was hoping i would be able to buy one. Would you mind posting a photo of the wire, in hopes that i might be able to replicate it? tim It's easy... you just get a 9v battery connector from radioshack or something and wind it around, solder or tape it onto the existing connector of the IR reciever. KopMaister Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 Where do you attach the wires to? Does one wire attach on the top and the other on the bottom of the receiver wire? tim i took some pictures for you and anyone who is interested instead of explaining it in text XD.... Now keep in mind that this is the simplest way possible without soldering as i didn't want to ruin my PF lights. the positive thing is that it's totally revertable as to PeterieB's one that i think is better and cleaner. Anyway here's the pictures: this is the connector on My PF Lights Here's the 9v battery connector with red and black wire. This is how you chould connect the wires on the 9v battery connector to the PF connector. This is how it should look! And finnally proof that it works...( sry for the bad picture i couldn't take a picture of the LEDs directly.) Hope this will help you guys^^ Quote
DLuders Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 KopMaister's custom battery connector is similar to the one on the YouTube video featured at the beginning of this Eurobricks post. They are available on this website: http://custombattery.blogspot.com/ . I have three of them, and they work great for any Lego Power Functions application in tight spaces! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WhjZoymaYkY Quote

Thanks, I loved Your spreader from the first view and it works very fine. With Your excellent work with LDD the build was easy. Our next project is to build the crane from pcility with full PF. LEGO 8110 Unimog U400 full motorized But there are only pictures not a nice lxf file. I just try to rebuild the crane in LDD Thanks to all for the good ideas and work. PeterleB Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 How interesting?! I was recently thinking of what would be the best way to control lego motors from an Arduino board and I didn't want to buy any special cables. I have some extra wire around so bending the metal teeth on the back of the connector would probably do the trick! Is this link broken? I cannot view but I would really like to. The right link: Very nice! Quote
Crtlego Posted December 1, 2011 Posted December 1, 2011 Oops.. I posted half my post in the right thread and the other half in the wrong thread.. I searched him on youtube. Very nice indeed! Quote
