sama Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 Just a question, would technic half pins work for improving the steering of 8110 with out touching the chassis? Quote
KopMaister Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 I agree with you while the mog is cool and I love it. all these attachments remind me more of a tractor I guess it more of a European thing having a truck with attachments. It would be awesome to see lego partner with John Deere and come out with John Deere green pieces and build either a big crwaler tractor or an articlated wheeled tractor but that might just be the farm boy in me. heh....... i'd rather see a Massey Ferguson, Claas or maybe a Fendt :P i personally don't like John Deere :P Quote
davidmull Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 hope these help..set up to use a small pneumatic piston Looks good has anyone tryed it yet? Just a question, would technic half pins work for improving the steering of 8110 with out touching the chassis? Yes they work perfect and I'm using them, gives u a better lock without over doing it! PeterleB Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 (edited) NXTified Unimog by Anika Unfortunately the new 4.2.5 version of LDD still not contains the unimog steering parts 92908 - 92911. The bright yellow parts in picture and lxf file only place holders. LDD file Next I will place the nxt modul into the chassis. Here the attempt: LDD file Edited January 22, 2012 by PeterleB Quote
Pat-Ard Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 (edited) Hi everyone, I'm just new to EB. Recently I bought the 8110 and in love it. Now I'm planning some add ons. First of all I ordered the whole parts for the snowplow at BL. Next is a little trailer. Further I'm trying to combine those two mowers... So far Pat Edited January 22, 2012 by Pat-Ard Quote
efferman Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 welcome on eurobricks. do you complete the trailer with a white arrow? Quote
Pat-Ard Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 (edited) thanks for your welcome. Yes, for sure... but I'll try this on the original model, just to find the most realistic look. And then "rebuild" it on the LDD. I'm still clean on a good idea for a flashing arrow in the upper frame. Btw: how many pneumatic cylinder can I use with one pump? If I really can combine those two mowers I need about 5 pneumatic cylinders. Would be an air tank a solution? So far Pat Edited January 22, 2012 by Pat-Ard Quote
timslegos Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 You could power about two or three cylinders on one pump. tim Quote
Pat-Ard Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 tim, thanks... OK, I'll have to add a second pump Pat Quote

PeterleB Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 (edited) Here al mine UNI -MOCs Greetings Edwin I love your fire truck! See earlier posts. I tried a ldd file. Edited January 22, 2012 by PeterleB Quote
Pat-Ard Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 (edited) WOW, the firetruck and the 6-wheeler are great! Edited January 22, 2012 by Pat-Ard Quote
timslegos Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 (edited) I love your fire truck! See earlier posts. I tried a ldd file. Please dont quote the pictures repeatedly, it takes up a lot of space on the webpage and causes a lot of unnecessary scrolling. @Pat-Ard what i said was only an approximation. i meant that simultaneously you could run about 2-3 cylinders at a time. But you could power a lot more cylinders if you are not using the switches at the same time. tim Edited January 22, 2012 by timr Quote

timslegos Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 Very nice! wow that looks really nice! would it be mounted onto the back of a trailer? tim Quote
Pat-Ard Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 (edited) PeterleB --> WOW!!! Good idea with the frame. I'll try it and post an update. I already had the idea of the clear 8 by 8 square plate, but it's not very good looking. My blue sign is mounted on a turntable, so the sign can be turned to the left and right. @timr: Thanks, hmm, might be an option... But I'm just evaluating to add a second pump. I'll try to work it out. again @timr: yes, some posts up it showed a picture of the trailer... Only problem left are the fenders... Any ideas? So far Pat Edited January 22, 2012 by Pat-Ard Quote

Alasdair Ryan Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 Question: why do you not add a small ram to the upper part of the board so it can tilt like the real thing?(like the ones above) Quote
Pat-Ard Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 There's a toggle joint to flip the upper part. But that LDD won't flip it @PeterleB: I'll try it... Quote
radar92 Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 Looks good has anyone tryed it yet? Just built it, needs a little work. Won't stay centered. Quote
Pat-Ard Posted January 23, 2012 Posted January 23, 2012 (edited) PeterleB: tried the fenders, but no, doesn't work/look good. Tried something with the parts 61070 and 61071. But they won't fit either... And tried some more... YIIIIIHHHHHHAAAAAA... So far Pat Edited January 23, 2012 by Pat-Ard Quote
Robert M Posted January 23, 2012 Posted January 23, 2012 Maybe you could try building it out of Yellow or Orange, although I suspect Organge won't have some of the parts. Looking on the internet, it seems to be mostly this colour. Just a though, you could use them bendy beams used 8070 or similar, not sure what people call them, but the things that make the wheels arches. Quote
davidmull Posted January 23, 2012 Posted January 23, 2012 Why are ye making such a small trailer for such a big mog? These trailers are normally towed by vans not vehicals as big as the unimog! Quote
Pat-Ard Posted January 23, 2012 Posted January 23, 2012 @davidmull: I disagree... These trailers are very common in use with even bigger trucks... So far Pat Quote
