Alasdair Ryan Posted January 23, 2012 Posted January 23, 2012 Why are ye making such a small trailer for such a big mog? These trailers are normally towed by vans not vehicals as big as the unimog! Sadly i can not answer, but we could make a light board for the back of the unimog? Quote
PeterleB Posted January 24, 2012 Posted January 24, 2012 PeterleB: tried the fenders, but no, doesn't work/look good. Tried something with the parts 61070 and 61071. But they won't fit either... And tried some more... YIIIIIHHHHHHAAAAAA... So far Pat The LDD file It fits all but not the most elegant. Quote
telstar74 Posted January 24, 2012 Posted January 24, 2012 hi everybody, im new to EB and i have a comeback in building with lego as i got the unimog. a great thing to build it! after building the original set i started to think about adding parts. i searched in the www and found the building instructions for rc. it looks great in pictures and in films but in my unimog the stearing doesn`t work well as i want it to work. i`ll post a video later to find people who can help me to get rid of the problem. furthermore i build a top for load area. pretty simple, but it looks great. here`s a photo: another thing i added was a shovel at the crane. simple, but for an absolute beginner like me a great thing. Pat-Ard Posted January 24, 2012 Posted January 24, 2012 Hi everyone, thanks for your ideas... @telstar74: your top is great, how did you make it? Today the missing parts for the snowplow arrived... Happy bricking time... So far Pat Quote

timslegos Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 Wow that is very complex looking. Does anyone have enough parts to build it? tim Quote
Pat-Ard Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 Hi, it looks complex, but I don't think it really is. LDD says you need about 400+ parts. Maybe next time when I order at BL. Pat Quote
Thelonious monk Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 I think it looks good! what about making the panels orange, like the MULAG mowers normally are? Quote
Pat-Ard Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 Hi, it works nearly like the Mulag. The front mowers flips forward and to the right side. The color is no Problem at all... I'll post an orange design tonight. So far Pat Quote
connectab Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 I got the Unimog for Christmas and was realy impressed how big it is. But after a few hours of watching it, I thought it could need some improvements. The first was to put an airtank under the cargo area: Then I modified the cran to be completely foldable: And I made it manually extendible: Also I rebuild the grabber to be turnable: regards Quote
Pat-Ard Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 @Thelonious monk: here you go... I think the coloring scheme fits. First picture the folded forward arm. Second picture unfolded forward arm. Hope you like it. So far Pat Quote
timslegos Posted January 28, 2012 Posted January 28, 2012 It looks very cool and the color scheme works very well. I wish i had the parts to build it. tim Quote
Pat-Ard Posted January 28, 2012 Posted January 28, 2012 @timr: thanks... I' ll try and list all the parts. I don't think it'll be very expensive on BL. Pat Quote
