Pat-Ard Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 Hi Tim, WOW!!! Do you plan publishing a LDD? What about the tandem axle? How far are you? Pat Quote
Edwin Korstanje Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 Your U4000 looks great Tim S. Quote
Tim S. Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 Thanks! @Pat-Ard I´ll try an LDD. (still have some problems with rotating things) I did not work on the rear axle so far. I´m not really happy with it and looking for another solution. Tim Quote
DLuders Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 On Rebrickable, Stefan Birkefeld posted his "pneumatic tipping trailer for the Unimog U400 (#8110). The trailer fits precisely to the original width of the Unimog, 23 studs. The tipping mechanism is powered by the rear PPTO of the Unimog. Note that you will need both the PDF instructions and the [Lego Digital Designer] LXF file to build this." Quote
stefan_betula_pendula Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 Thanks for sharing DLuders! I already presented the trailer in this thread. I just updated a few things on Rebrickable (based on the new LDD 4.3.5) and from this time on my MOC is shown as a new MOC although it exists since some month. Quote
DaniIat Posted September 27, 2012 Posted September 27, 2012 @Thelonious monk: here you go... I think the coloring scheme fits. First picture the folded forward arm. Second picture unfolded forward arm. Hope you like it. So far Pat Hallo Pat, do you have a Partlist for this Model(Rassenmäher), because I would like do rebuild it. Mfg DaniIat Quote
Pat-Ard Posted September 27, 2012 Posted September 27, 2012 Hi Danilat, please contact me via PM. Pat Quote
Tim S. Posted September 27, 2012 Posted September 27, 2012 Just finished the 6x6 chassis of my U4000. Not yet finished at all but the drive. That way the rear axle is more flexible and with the two XL motors it drives quite well. The steering is a little bit shaky, because of the gears. Maybe I´ll try the new servo. What do you think? regards Tim Quote
Pat-Ard Posted September 27, 2012 Posted September 27, 2012 Hi Tim, I like those rear axles!!! Looks really great. Why don't you add a second pneumatic pump. I did this to my U400 and the performance is much better! Hmm, maybe I can take some ideas from your chassis for the Zetros Pat Quote
efferman Posted September 27, 2012 Posted September 27, 2012 i like you rear axle design, simple but effektive Quote
Tim S. Posted September 27, 2012 Posted September 27, 2012 Thanks guys! simple but effektive I think this is what Unimog stands for... Quote
skppo Posted September 27, 2012 Posted September 27, 2012 That is a great looking chassis mod. Maybe move the crane to between the cabin and bed? I think that woulde be cool. Quote
Pat-Ard Posted September 27, 2012 Posted September 27, 2012 Hi folks, the next winter will come... Rebuild the absolute cool spreader of Cypr-21. Changed some small things... And a special thanks goes to Cypr-21, because of hie great MOC. Pat Quote
Alasdair Ryan Posted September 27, 2012 Posted September 27, 2012 Nice spreader, can it spread small items out the back? Quote
Pat-Ard Posted September 27, 2012 Posted September 27, 2012 (edited) Hi Alasdair, thanks. No, it has only a transportation band... Maybe with some pimping it's possible. Pat Edited September 27, 2012 by Pat-Ard Quote
trekman Posted September 27, 2012 Posted September 27, 2012 We were able to make our spreader scatter pony beads across the floor. But you had to make sure that the beads did not jam anywhere. Also if you were using your spreader, all of the load of the spreading substance would be upon the feed belt. Sometimes what they do is have a cover over the drive belt, so that the material can enter in from the sides. The cover takes the load, instead of the belt. Also we used the rubber tracks used on the NXT set. They have built in grips which move the material along quite well. Nice hopper though, with the orange panels. Quote
DaniIat Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 Hi Danilat, please contact me via PM. Pat Hi Pat, sorry, apparently I'm not yet able to write a PM since I'm quite a new member and the administration said that I needed at least 10 post. Do you know any alternative? Thanks a lot! DaniIat Quote
Pat-Ard Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 Hi Danilat, hmm, I won't write an email address open in this thread. If you like you can post your email address here and then I send you the file via email. Pat Quote
DLuders Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 @ Danilat: You could send me an e-mail (at LudersDG@MSN.com ), and I'll send a Eurobricks Private Message (PM) to Pat-Ard with your exact message wording. You can even write it in German so that nothing is lost in translation. Quote
DLuders Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 @ Pat-Ard: Danilat just sent me an e-mail, and I copied/pasted it into a Eurobricks Private Message (PM) to you. Quote
Victorien_31 Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 Hello, really nice work Pat. I'm very interesting to reproduce your double mower (with your permission) but I can't contact you by MP... :-( I think my profile don't allow me for the moment, can you contact me? Quote
Pat-Ard Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 Hi Victorien, you need more posts to use PM. Sorry, but I don't like posting email adresses in forums. Maybe if you have enough posts you can contact me again. Or you ask DLuders if he'll assist - again (see post #1244). Pat Quote
DLuders Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 (edited) @ Victorien_31: If you send an e-mail to me at LudersDG@MSN.com with your contact information, I'll send a Eurobricks Private Message (PM) to Pat-Ard. This process worked for Danilat; I simply copied/pasted his message and forwarded it to Pat-Ard. Edited October 16, 2012 by DLuders Quote
calypso Posted October 17, 2012 Posted October 17, 2012 (edited) Needed to pull out the winch cable without waiting for the motor to unwind it. It can be done (clutch) but winding it back on quickly is another matter. Found refence to this outside this forum which enables free wheeling of the drum when required. Searched the forum, but could find no mention of this small but useful mod. Works well. Edited October 17, 2012 by calypso Quote
