Together" Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 comes out in theaters this week, and I decided to build a scene from the trailers in honor of its release. This scene appears in almost all of the trailers and will hopefully play a big role in the movie itself. Harry has just tackled Voldemort off of a cliff within a crumbling Hogwarts, and most likely is about to duel the evil wizard for the last time. However, I am a little weary about that scene in the film, because it wasn't in the books and looks like it might be a little corny. You did a masterful job capturing the scene. I really love all the detail you sneaked in. The trees, the curved wall of the lower level, the crumbled columns. Very nice rock work too. I like your use of forced perspective here. It's very natural. I would imagine if the camera panned around to view from the gorge, the entire castle would be there! Excellent job. Quote

Pandora Posted July 14, 2011 Posted July 14, 2011 This is an incredibly faithful rendition; I find myself scanning between the picture of your MOC and that of the source material, and it's like a game of spot-the-difference, except without differences. Even if you hadn't shown the source picture, this is still a beautiful MOC in and of itself, with some great detailing. Really nicely done. Quote

This is one of a number of changes to the book, which I will not elaborate on because I don't know how to hide spoilers - but most of them were I think an improvement from the book. JK Rowling is listed as I think a producer, so are the differences canon too? I would be interested in anyone else had occasional problems with distant backfield in the 3D, this was the first time I had any issues and it was quite distracting. The Gringotts scenes, though, were fabulous in 3D. I give HP7.2 a maximum :sweet: :sweet: Quote

Also , I haven't watched the film yet , but I think this will probably be the most epic scene ! If you want you can edit the picture to change the lighting and the colors so that it looks just like the ref pic ( I'm pretty sure they do this in the movie too ) . Quote
