i know its prototype, but that Ironman would look better if it was jsut printed on a minifig head instead of having a whole mask like batman(whose mask i also find abit too late but it works)

I notice Hulk is unfinished, but the others are just the bomb !

Notice that Green Lantern isn't in the display at all.

Because he is being given out to people. Pretty sure he is final.

Very nice, though I hope to god the Marvel guys are enhanced by the time of their release.

And the Joker looks a bit like a woman...

Iron Man's head looks awful, far too big for a minifig and Hulk appears to have no face. Hopefully those are just early mockups though, I can't imagine they'll end up looking like that. The others are all looking pretty good though, it's definitely got the potential to be a great new theme.

Although I do wonder what this mean for the Hero Factory line, especially if they are doing buildable figures as a major part of the theme. It's not something I particularly like, but it's always a bit sad to see original lines being sidelined in favour of licensed products.

Wow! Thanks for the pictures, Mofo Jones! All the 'figs look great, but my favorites are definitely Poison Ivy and Wolverine. The Hulk mold looks fantastic as well, and I know he'll look better after he gets printed. One thing I noticed is that the Batman torso is different from the one on the 'LEGO Superheroes' website, so I assume we'll be getting classic Batman sets as well? :excited:

Well, the one being given out is final. That doesn't mean the Green Lantern minifig in sets will be the same.

Oh, and note that I'm just posting the pics for meat1980, and am not lucky enough to be at SDCC right now. :(

True, but it also depends on how the sets are done as well.

Thanks for the pics! :cry_happy:

Oh my gosh, the Batman figs are beautiful! Especially Ivy! WW is great too!

I, for one, love the way they made Hulk. He is nice and detailed while still looking a bit like a minifig with that round head. He just wouldn't have looked right as a small minifig. Iron Man on the other hand is indeed a disappointment. That helmet just looks weird. Hopefully that will change in the final version. Thor, Cap, and Wolverine are pretty good though. I hope they make Wolverine's mask too.

And yeah, Joker does look a bit feminine, but still better than that weirdo from the first waves.

Not to be greedy, but were these the only things on display?

Good job by Lego, especially as Warner continues to crank out movies, there will be Legos to supplement it. Excellent financial decision. I am excited to see the sets and parts that come out of these new lines.

Oky, those are all the pictures I have been sent. I was asked to post them here and on a couple of other sites. If I am asked to post others, I will do so.

I have no other information about these or any other LEGO products.

Agree with most that Ivy is looking amazing

Not sure that they have made the right decision with a big Hulk like that. Iron Man's helmet does look wrong also. Everything else though is looking very nice.

I know; my question was more directed at meat1980 anyway.

By the way, does anyone think they will make buildable versions of some marvel characters as well? I mean, wouldn't a Build-a-Iron-Man make more sense than a Build-a-Joker?

I fear that by "buildable figures" they mean Constraction Figures, ala Hero Factory. In which case, I suppose they could make figures for all the DC/Marvel characters. I would prefer similar sets to the toysrus Buzz/Zurg, though, so I'm hoping that's what they mean.

This is very exciting news; I've been hoping for something along the lines of this for years. :cry_happy:

You didn't specify. If I get additional information, I'll be sure to pass it on.

Perhaps there will be more later. :sweet:

This is gonna make my wallet hurt assuming the play sets are as good as the previous Batman line.

I hope they do a Professor X minifig (would be the first ever LEGO minifig with a wheelchair)

Posted

Well I suppose this is good. No more ourageous prices for a batman any more! I'm not a fan of super heroes but this line might bring a number of nice new bricks into the Lego world.
