February 9, 201213 yr I would like to said "Lego, why?" but it's too short to write it on a forum :P I thought that It will be better. IronMan looks better than other Super Heroes figures but he is still not perfect. I don't like his head, his shoulders... everything! But he looks nice if we will make his MOC out of this parts. That's my opinion. This sets are better as sets with normal minifigures.
February 13, 201213 yr Whoever poses these things needs to be shot. Personally, I think the Super Hero sets were posed very nicely, compared to the fairly bland poses of most of the Hero Factory sets. Iron Man has his "flying" pose (yes I know that's not how Iron Man tends to fly but it still looks cool), and on the DC side Batman and Joker were glaring at each other from two different shelves, with Joker's gun trained on Batman.
February 13, 201213 yr Yet Hulk's pose seems to be deliberately highlighting its flaws... I also imagine that if he actually had fingers he would be flashing gang signs.

February 13, 201213 yr Well, now that we've seen the sets out of box and (presumably) finalized, I'm going to give a brief summary of my opinions. Iron Man - Still looks great. The recolors are many, the set design looks cohesive and Iron Man as a character mixes well with the HF aesthetic. His back armor looks very nice, as does his shoulder-mounted gun, and the head mold actually looks very nice. A (surprisingly) excellent set that holds up well against the HF sets from the summer, in my opinion. Hulk - ...I can respect the look they were trying to achieve here, and the design of the torso looks... unique, at the very least, But it looks gappy and slapped-together, not to mention the fact that his "power armor" and gunmetal chestplate negatively impact the sets visual appearance. To continue, the fact that his hands lack fingers, while it does give the impression of being fists, also impacts the set negatively IMO. The ridiculously bulky upper body and the skinny lower legs contrast far too much for my tastes, and don't even get me started on the blue pants. Overall, I dislike this set. Captain America - Mediocre. The set looks well-designed, if a bit bland. His riidculously bulky shoulderpads look... interesting, but the clashing colors are a bit off-setting. And I'm just talking about the shoulderpads. Either make them all gunmetal or all silver. It would look better. And while blue, red, and white is the character's signature colors, it doesn't translate too well into a set IMO. The shield is nice, though, as is the chainmail upper-torso armor. A set I may be interested in purchasing, but at the same time, is kind of generic. Overall this wave is nowhere near as good as the DC Ultrabuilds, which all managed to turn out to be surprisingly well-built and interesting, though Iron Man is excellent. February 13, 201213 yr I still don't understand why they jointed the heads they way they did. It turns them from potentially fun pieces to use to something I never want to touch again.

As with most of the Ben 10 heads, I think the ball cups are positioned so that it looks better rather than performing better. Although rotating them 90 degrees would allow the figures to look up, it would also give them fat necks when viewed from the front (and the ability to look up/down too far). From there I think it should have been a case by case judgement of if the ability to look up was worth the chubby neck, so I'm disappointed that Iron Man, who flies looking straight up from his body, is unable to do that. It reminds me of many of the 2007 and 2008 Bionicle sets that were unable to look up, so couldn't see where they were going when swimming/flying.

Except that I think it looks horrid the way it is, with the bottom of the socket sticking out from under their chins. Not to mention the head being positioned funny. Just my opinion, of course, but I really don't like them.
February 14, 201213 yr I agree on the dilemma of Iron Man's head joint. It's just Big Chill all over again. While I'm not a fan of Ben 10, the set looks neat, and I actually like BC's head, but the head joint is really awkward.
February 15, 201213 yr I do think the actual head sculpts are nice, with the rubber elements. But the way they're jointed ruins them for me.

March 13, 201212 yr OMG. I could understand minifigs. These "Hero" line figures are on par with those Megablok knock-offs. Not that happy with them. Right. I'm not so sure about these LEGO guys...
March 14, 201212 yr I prefer Marvel Superheroes rather than DC universe Superheroes just because they look more bulky. For Example: Iron Man is a wonderful choice of pieces, even 3 Hero Factory 2012 torso armor in Metru Red! Isn't it great? Hulk: Maybe not as great as Iron Man, but.... satisfactory. The lime green we've seen in Surge and will see in Speeda Demon looks great with blue "pants". Also his colour scheme is good. The large green torso armour is good for some MOCs like Breez XL. Captain America: The knees armour excites me, because I didn't like the huge bubble armour, which had a huge amount of empty space. The shield is perfect. As for DC Superheroes, they are all too easy, they all have boring colour scheme (but anyway I'd love to get Joker for purple parts) and they have not playable weapons. Green Lantern is the best of them. Batman is something between Joker and Green Lantern. Well, waiting for some more Action Figures Superheroes sets.
March 14, 201212 yr I'm not sure on how these sets can be considered "on par with those Megablocks knock-offs". Sure, I don't like most of them either (I find most of the designs very awkward)- I mainly see them as glorified and overpriced parts packs. The sole things I can honestly compare to Megablocks are those ugly heads (the Joker head looks all kinds of wrong): take away them and what you've got are some sort of scrapped HF sets. Unless you consider HF sets to be Megablocks knock offs, then I can understand you, I guess.
March 14, 201212 yr The large green torso armour is good for some MOCs like Breez XL. I had that idea in my head before you mentioned it! I had another idea for xt4 XL. Breez XL could go up against xt4 XL!

Buncha price-hiking criminals. and on top of that, they're not even strictly available. "sold in stores" - likely story. March 17, 201212 yr I ordered them the other day and I got a "shipping confirmation" email, so I guess they just ran out of backstock or somesuch thing. But they're listed as "NOT available for shipping" now, you're right. Though I also guess you're probably right too, probably not actually in stores, but without one around here, I can't try.
March 17, 201212 yr I'm very much looking forward to Hulk and Cap America reviews- not much for the sets themselves, rather to see clearer pictures of the new pieces they introduce; I'm talking about the huge chestplate and the shin armour many HF summer sets use. I'm especially curious about the former- namely, how it connects and how big it really is.
