I overlooked the part of Front's post where he said that the Hulk chestplate attaches to the 2 outer ball joints of a wide torso. I thought it attached to the inner ones (like Drilldozer's armour), silly me- then I looked at DV's back shot of Hulk and I realized the truth.

The chestplate is much larger than I thought.

I'm getting two Hulks, just to show you people that however awful the set is, it can be fixed. For example, with Hulk:

I'll take a large torso bone, and then I'll add a long pin (black) and connect two more torso bones: a large and a small:

Side view would be like this:

O=o=O

(Smaller O is the small torso, big Os are the large torsos, all connected by pins and secured with axles). Then, I would put the two Hulk armors on the two large torsos, and stick a o-o-c connector on either arm connector of the small torso, and then The Hulk's arms go on those parts, and the legs would be built larger to go better with the (now XL) Hulk, and more lime green parts could be attached to fill him out.

Whew, now that that's out of my system, I can start hunting for Hulk sets to make it a reality!

TThe secret behind Iron Man (and the others, save Hulk) aren't the upper legs: the friction cups are attached to the short forelegs, so the upper legs end up being about as long as the 13 Euro Hero Factory sets. What makes Iron Man and the other 4 so well proportioned looking are the lower legs, which aren't the ones with two holes from those HF sets but the ones with one hole- in other words, Stormer 2.0's lower legs. And this is one of the points in which the Ultrabuild heroes beat HF: the legs look much better that way, IMO. I know I wasn't the first one who realized this, by the way.

Hulk doesn't even have recoloured parts, aside from the hand pieces. The lime bones debuted in Breakout Surge, and the lime 5M shells debuted in Scorpio last year. All the other nice stuff can be bought over Pick a Brick for more reasonable prices. Aside from the new chestplate and the recoloured paws/hands, I agree, he's just not worth it.

I hope they make more Ultrabuild sets, too. Ghost Rider would rock (and if they made his bike, too...oh my).

Wasn't really all that awake when typing about Hulk, I'd forgotten about the lower leg pieces.

Thanks for explaining the legs, makes a bit more sense now. Agreed on how much better they look compared to the HF character's legs. Wonder if Lego will do something like this for their future HF sets?

And as for Ghost Rider.. agreed. I imagine he'd cost a little bit more, but if the bike had the right look, and his torso cladding looked more like a jacket than Joker's did, I wouldn't hesitate to grab him off the shelf and run. Seriously, If the Ghost Rider came out, it would be sold out before it ever hit the shelf.

Well, I don't know if they're going to do it for future sets, but I'm planning to mod all the Heroes to fit those sizes (yes, even the 9 Euro Heroes- I already upsized Surge and Evo and I'm doing the same to Stringer and Nex). I already made the leg replacement to Surge and Evo themselves, and I tried doing it to Rocka and Breez (don't have Furno yet)- they look great. It's just 1 module, but the change is amazing. I am definitely going to buy some of those bones off Bricklink.

The Ghost Rider movie is coming out this year (or is it already out? I don't know), so I think that a 2013 Ghost Rider set isn't so far fetched. I could see him as a set similar to Speeda Demon- medium sized guy with a bike. The fire effect (minus the skull/head, of course) could be achieved with tr. orange or tr. bright orange (the colour Lego seems to really like to use for flame pieces, recently) pieces.

Well, I tried it on all the HF breakout sets (well, heroes anyway). Any difference? YES! They look tremendously better and by doing it on all the heroes they all look similar size! Genius!

Geez Shakar, you post that last post enough?

And yes, the Iron Man set has a boring build. Deal with it. *Sunglasses*

(I'll buy him anyways.)

What? Did I double post? Or am I posting too often? For the former, sorry, I hadn't noticed. For the latter, I don't think there is a limit to how much you can post, as long it contributes to the discussion. If I want to say something, I will say it.

If I misunderstood the meaning of your post, I apologize. As they are, your words sound fairly ambiguous.

I agree Iron Man's build is generic, it's just that it looks so nice. Everything flows really well together, and creates an imposing figure. Also, I really like the third attachment to the back, much more than the method used in, say, Breakout Bulk.

Seems you triple posted.

Anyways, I'll be getting Iron Man for sure, and modding his shoulders and back, as well as removing his gun to make him resemble his movie counterpart more. Still considering Capt, I'll wait for reviews of him before deciding.

Not even triple-posting; more like quintuple-posting.

I'm in the same boat, really. Iron Man, from day one, as been a must-buy in my book, due to his impressive parts selection and solid build without many flaws. Thankuflly, that hasn't changed. Captain America is looking better and better to me, but I'm undecided as to whether he's worth a purchase.

I was just teasing you for accidentally posting the same post five times, nothing all serious-like, just a little ribbing. I suppose smilies could have been utilized in that regard. =P

I posted the same post 5 times? Nothing showed up on my computer. O.o

Yeah, using no smiles made your post much more serious than it was, and so I reacted that way. Sorry.

I just realized- one more Ultrabuild figure that would be cool to see is Thor. We're in dire need of a new hammer piece- I don't remember ever being one in BIONICLE. And since Batman didn't have one, a new cape would be nice.

Bottom of page 24? And it's cool man, no apology necessary.

Well, there was Turaga Onewa's hammer, but that isn't all that impressive in terms of size.

Iron Man is boring, he's good, but he's boring. Captain America is the better set.

I didn't notice.. wonder how that happened?

I've actually tried using existing parts from the HF building range to make a mock-up Thor, based on the one seen in the recent 'The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes' cartoon series. It almost worked, used a separate torso and most of the pieces found in Raw-Jaw for the cape, Waspix's printed cladding for the shins, among other parts. Even tried making a head for it, which I found really difficult to do properly with my Lego Bricks. Ended up just scrapping it.

I was surprised that Thor wasn't included in this year's movie. Hope that if the Superheroes Ultrabuild line continues, Thor is included.

And Ghost Rider. Got to love Ghost Rider.
