Oh, I see. Yes, you're right, the gattling gun piece is trans-yellow and and that armor piece is trans-orange. And I'm pretty sure that's just a lightsaber with a radar dish, which is indeed not bad at all.

While looking at the new picture this thought occured to me: Could Hulk's silver armor be representing his classic ripped shirt? I know it's a stretch, it looks nothing like a shirt, but it's an idea nonetheless.

I highly doubt that. When did Bruce Banner ever wear a gun-metal colored shirt? I'm still holding out hope that those are just preliminary stand-ins and will be the right color in the final product.

I really like the look of this line; Hero Factory piece compatibility aside, it offers a lot of accessibility and appeal to a broad spectrum of people, and there's something about the simplicity, the blatant Action Figure vibe, that really interests me.

Also purple. Like, hella purple.

Looking good, when do these guys come out? I'm definitely gonna be getting a few of them (the DC ones all have great color pieces, especially).

Incidentally, as I pointed out in the Hero Factory topic, Green Lantern's energy construct thingy is two separate pieces, and the spiky part on the end is actually one half of Black Phantom's mace. Pretty nice, IMO.

Still a big fan of Batman and Green Lantern, and still not sure what to think about Joker.

Meanwhile, that site that had the pics is now down. I hope someone saved them...

Still not all that interested in these sets, but I must say, the parts are GLORIOUS!

For instance, Joker uses a dual colored lightning piece for his tie. And all the purple pieces he has is great.

Yeah, if I get any, it'll be for parts.

He IS the only one who has the potential to not look terrible.

I dunno, I'm actually warming up to these sets. They may technically be that accurate, but when you consider the building system they're using, I'd say they're fairly decent representations. The Joker in paticular shows some real creative usage of parts and colors, and I have a feeling he'll be a real hit with the kids. Batman and Green lantern are more standard, but hey, you can't go wrong with all those bright green and blue parts. In general, the constraction figures the last few years have really brought color back in full force, in contrast to all the dark tones and endless silver of several of Bionicle's pre 2009 waves. If my shelves weren't already packed with Bionicle sets, I might even have considered in investing in some of them.

Ditto for me. I initially hated these guys for their overall look and feel, but over time, I've realized that the only things keeping these guys from fitting in as Hero Factory sets are their head pieces, which I think turn a lot of people off immediately.

I've also grown to appreciate the Joker set more and more, which is a stark contrast from when I first saw him, immediately classifying him as the worst one.

And then I saw Captain America.

Has anyone though about making other Green Lantern characters? As most of the parts included in Hal Jordan green lantern, seem very interchangeable. I suppose the head part may prove difficult, but using some green (or another suitable colour) kanohi mask could give the effect of a alien look.

Anyway, these superheros (They should probably make a female ultrabuild sometime, to balance it out)look great and I cant wait until they are released, whenever that may be.

Thanks, CB
