Posted July 21, 201113 yr As BlueBrick didn't work on my computer. I have been browsing the web for another software, as the one that TLG provide didn't really work with my largish layout, I have found 'AnyRail' model railroad software, I does have the LEGO RC tracks and 9V. But, I just want to ask, has anyone had any experience with this software?

July 28, 201113 yr That is one of the best layout design software I have tried! I am into G scale model trains more then Lego Train, but it does great both ways!
July 21, 201410 yr I know I'm reviving a dead thread, here; I have no complaints about BlueBrick, but looking around for software I stumbled across AnyRail, and given it has support for LEGO, it looks just awesome... It's got a free limited demo (although it supposedly will not expire, just limited options); the price tag is not great... $US60.00... I'm not thrilled with that. Just wondering if anyone else has tried or been using it, and what your thoughts are.

I'd say the UI is more intuitive than BlueBrick, but the parts selection is far more limited. With the free demo, there is an upper limit on track sections that can be placed. That gets really annoying really fast. A college friend of mine cracked it once, but I've since misplaced the binary. Edited July 21, 201410 yr by codefox421
July 22, 201410 yr I think for LEGO use it is too expensive, I also did a test with it. It does not even have all available LEGO parts (flex track, cross [only if you combine RC and 9V]). So maybe if you are also into model railroading than I suppose it would be very interesting. I also found some issues (copy/pasting is not that easy etc.). (It is a Dutch product).
July 22, 201410 yr There is also another program called Trackdraw. I used that program to design the first attempt to break the World record for the longest LEGO train track. I found it here: http://www.byggepladen.dk/downloadfile.asp?f=trackdraw%2Eexe Henrik
