August 3, 201113 yr Wow these are some developments! I can't say I'm sure I like the "two factions in a battle pack" idea but it does seem somewhat logical. As for the collectible minis, I can't wait to see them! Now to find out which rumors are true....
August 3, 201113 yr Now to find out which rumors are true.... I'm going to take a guess and say... none of them. Except for the TIE and Amidala, of course.
August 3, 201113 yr I'm going to take a guess and say... none of them. Except for the TIE and Amidala, of course. I'm starting to agree with you. All the stuff before seemed somewhat plausible, but it's getting more and more unbelievable as we hear new rumors.
August 3, 201113 yr I'm starting to agree with you. All the stuff before seemed somewhat plausible, but it's getting more and more unbelievable as we hear new rumors. Finally Sure, some of these things sound interesting, but TLG isn't one to change their way of doings things often. Especially not this dramatically.
August 3, 201113 yr I heard some where that we where going to get a UCS Cloud car. is that true? could it be one of the OT sets? Sources, please. This is the most ridiculous rumor we've heard yet.
August 3, 201113 yr Okay, I admit things are starting to get silly (UCS Cloud Car), but I still believe Mirandir. As Capt. Kirk said, it is going to be a special year... Or something like that
August 3, 201113 yr Well it all seems logically plausible to me. We will all just have to wait and see. Regarding the battle pack change: it was the norm since 80s, maybe even earlier for minifig packs to have a selection from each side. It has only been in recent years that packs have been exclusively one side (eg SW, Kingdoms), and it appears things are going back to how they were. Alien Conquest, POTC etc case in point. The "battle in a box" thing that ruined SP3 sets for me (made it harder to build factional fleets without getting extra stuff you didn't want) is everywhere - including SW - so why wouldn't it make sense for the SW battle packs too? As others have said, it makes them more accessible to kids too. When I was a kid, pretty much the only sets I could afford were small ones with 1 MAYBE 2 minifigs or the minifig packs - only once did I manage to get 2 of a minifig pack despite wanting to for many releases. edit: by "it all" I wasn't referring to a UCS Cloud Car... that's a bit Edited August 3, 201113 yr by Artanis I
August 3, 201113 yr I sore a every blurry image on one of these forms, I was asking if anyone else heard about it, apparently not, so I'd say it was a MOC or something. I believe some of the rumors, I could imagine lego doing it(like the battle packs) I still think we have a good chance of a theed playset. Edited August 3, 201113 yr by Alfa Animations
August 3, 201113 yr mm i agree but this is getting a little out of hand. but i do still believe the thing about the battle backs I sore a every blurry image on one of these forms, I was asking if anyone else heard about it, apparently not, so I'd say it was a MOC or something. I believe some of the rumors, I could imagine lego doing it(like the battle packs) I still think we have a good chance of a thweed playset. yea but the day that was posted was on April 1 Or April's Fools day
August 3, 201113 yr Look I am not trying to make anyone mad but we all need to think about this for a second I have been viewing eurobricks.com for a few years and from viewing the topics I have seen the sets that have come out and the rumors that have gone around and this is far from the usual pictures and rumors I just want us to be realistic and have ideas that are realistic

(or LEGO Star Wars as a theme)
August 3, 201113 yr Though it could be argued that change is not by far a new thing for LEGO products. (or LEGO Star Wars as a theme) yea that is true
August 3, 201113 yr Bluebricks, you've misquoted Vader in your signature. What he actually said was: "Join me, and together we can rule the galaxy as father and son." EDIT: Your spelling and grammar are pretty good for a 10-year-old who I presume isn't a native English speaker. By the way, it's spelled "believe". Edited August 3, 201113 yr by fallenangel309
August 3, 201113 yr I'll sum up what I've presented here as facts. Unfortunatly I cannot, or at this point rather don't want to, prove them with pictures or by naming sources. So I guess you'll have to take my word for it. Hmm. I believe point one. I can't say I like it very much, but we (almost) get four battlepacks if you buy two of each, and that's good, right? Point two is interesting. The Original Trilogy sets are a surprise, and I was personally expecting different sets. I guess they could be in the next wave though, so no problems there. Point three is where things become unclear. It sounds like maybe there will be mini-sets in the form of vehicles. The "standing or hanging" seems to indicate the way which you can mount the vehicle or other model inside the display. Things get more confusing as the sets "could" expand on each other. The problem here is that I don't know how many pieces are in the sets to determine the sizes, but I'm imagining small things, like minikits from the Lego Star Wars video games. Anyway, minifigs. In a small set. This may be an alternative way to build an army, though exactly what the minifig is would justify the price and effort into doing that.
August 3, 201113 yr yea i agree, it was a very hard thing to get your dead around but to know the absolute truth about the size you need too know the parts

That could turn out very well. I can imagine something like a stormtrooper and a MINI TIE/ln on a piece of modular Death Star paneling, which would be really neat as an impulse set and display piece. Then again, it might turn out like those awful Ninjago Beyblade ripoffs spinners that ceroknight mentioned. Maybe they'll release an entire line of Boba-paults so kids can flick their armies of creepy bug-eyed Anakins at each other.
August 3, 201113 yr yea that would be cool because then when they go out of stock the price jumps up then you'll be able to sell them on brick link for more.

So I guess you'll have to take my word for it. Saying "I don't want to prove anything" instantly devalues your input. Although we understand that sources sometimes have to be protected, even just saying something like "My brother/mother/nextdoor-neighbours-gerbil works for TLG and showed me pics/prototypes etc" would add a bit more plausibility to your alleged "facts". Don't be surprised if people don't take your comments at face value... Kaitan
August 3, 201113 yr Guys, hasn't Mirandir been on this forum for 4 years already?!? I think maybe he deserves the benefit of the doubt. If these sets are confirmed then I'm very grateful to Mirandir for giving us something to get our teeth into. If they aren't confirmed then really what is the harm?? Personally I would rather have some rumours going around that we all can debate about than have nothing at all. The battlepacks make perfect sense, retailers are ALL powerful! And if they have lots of stock (mandalorian and assasin droid packs) that they can't sell despite reducing the price (which cuts into their profits) then they will ask TLG to change the way they package them or they will take more listings from a rival, cheaper brand. this is how retailers work with manufacturers. I personally can't wait for the new sets to arrive whatever they are. And I know my son who will be 5 when they come out will love some smaller, cheaper sets that he can buy with his own pocket money. Impulse buying is very appealing to toy manufacturers but it doesn't work in public perception unless the goods are cheap enough to appear to be of good value. Having conflict in one pack will achieve this.
August 3, 201113 yr the Tantive IV and Death Star are still available I doubt we'll get another Tantive IV after one just coming out in 2009 and with the Death Star, I think the only thing they could do, is replace all the minifigs with their new versions.
