Does anyone know when the preliminary pictures (aside from those we have already seen) will appear? I was wondering because this is more or less when the first preliminary pictures for the 2011 Winter wave appeared, if I am not mistaken.

They will appear when someone finds them. There is no 'official release date' for preliminary pictures - they are leaked.

On that note, I remember Mirandir mentioning that he did in fact acquire his information from leaked pictures, so we at least know that they are out there. It's only a matter of time...

By the way, does anyone have a picture of the 10131 teaser that's being referred to in this thread? It sounds interesting...

If you are referring ti the B-Wing, it's two posts above yours

Notice the set number. He's talking about the TIE Collection. I'd be interested to see it, too. I don't remember seeing it before.

I just recognised one difference:

In the German version of the VIP catalogue, the starfighter silhouettes in the background are arranged differently.

The B-Wing being chased by two TIEs is below the SSD, the dogfighting Xs vs. TIEs are below, too, on the right of the minifig manifest.

Above the nose of the SSD there are two firing X-Wings.

In my UK (non VIP) version the picture you describe is on the inside pages of the catalogue, and the picture that has been posted above is on the back page. Both show the same view of the SSD, just different backgrounds.

Nice find on those catalog silhouettes - it definitely seems to confirm the B-wing, X-wing, and Y-wing. I do find it a little strange that we're getting another X-wing since there is still an X-wing available right now. But if the redesign is good, I won't complain.

What is our usual source for leaks? I know a lot of foreign catalogs wind up with pictures earlier than LEGO intends, but I have no idea how people run into these.

Hi I'm new.

I don't remember seeing a y-wing on the catalog art. but you probably seen it so i'm not doubting you.

I am so excited for the new TIE Fighter and the Queen Amidala sets. Time for pictures!

Interesting finds, It dose mean we'll get a tie fighter,x-wing and b-wing for sure.

Not so possitive on the y-wing,I think they would have included that.

Is there a page with the geonosian fighter and the ewok attack to tell us that there will be a geonosian cannon and an endor battle pack? That would be great !!!!

Well, honestly spoken i am not sure whether this catalogue really is a VIP thingy. I just think so because it's definitely different from the one you can get in stores for free. It also has a printed code and i got it from S@H directly by mail.

And you are right - the SSD is on the back of the booklet again, too. On this picture the arrangement of the background starfighters is the same as with mutley's.

There's no Y-Wing shown anywhere in the catalogue but a coloured pic of the upcoming TIE/In as shown by others one page back.

Will the B-wing be a lego exclusive or a limited edition store set because from the outline it looks like a normal set not an UCS set(it looks like it could a 60-70$ set).

Limited/Special Editions don't necessarily have 5-digit numbers. If it's a 5-digit System set, it's a big one. (exclusives are typically in or over the $100 range)

We've been over this before - 10227 B-wing has a five-digit set number and therefore will be an exclusive set. I highly doubt it will be a minifigure-scaled set. It's impossible to determine how big it will be from that one silhouette.

The 6212 X-Wing was removed from the UK Lego site a month or two ago. I thought it would be strange to bring another one out so soon after 6212, but I'll look forward to seeing what it will be like.

Will the new x-wing have something to go along with it?(it seems like it would come with a tool sled or something)

I just checked lego.com and 6212 is still there along with a strange Sith kit(it's just Darth Maul Ship and the Dathomir speeder in one set for 94$)

What's the deal with 6212? Surely there will be plenty of them about still when the new one comes out - will it get recalled from TRU (UK) or will TRU put it on sale? Or is this is the wrong place to ask?
