April 3, 201212 yr Yep, another dumb Super Pack, something CW, something ROTJ and something ANH....canon is totally screwed here. The Super Packs are pure genius by TLG. Say you're a kid and are dead set on getting three sets of a certain era. Well, your mom goes and buys a 3-in-1 because it's cheaper bundled up and is 3 sets like you wanted. Now you have to still buy the two other sets it didn't cover. Maybe now you really like a set from another era and want to collect sets to go with that one now. Fact is, it makes little since for TLG to make a pack of sets that fit together. They want you to buy more sets and this is the way to do it.
April 4, 201212 yr Thanks for the vid. I don't like these guys since I don't have the impression that they are serious about what they do, but that's a different point. Seriousness? These are grown men talking about a kids toy months before any kid will find out about them. Seriousness was thrown out the window a long time ago. I personally love the way they start off each show "THE BRICKKKK SHOOOOOOWWWWW!!!!"

I personally love the way they start off each show "THE BRICKKKK SHOOOOOOWWWWW!!!!" I'm a fan of TBS (not the cable TV channel, but that's also true :tounge:) as they take a good 20 minutes for almost all sets to review and it really refelcts my purchase on sets I'm unsure about.

Actually, I like the Brick Show for their in-depth reviews. Their close ups and long episodes make me really ponder if the set is worth buying. Their rating system needs work, I think they are just pulling numbers out. Still, I think they are the best Lego reviewers on YouTube.
April 4, 201212 yr I have kinda been following this thread (most of my time has been spent over at the LOTR thread), but from what I can see, there is still no info on the Palpatine's Arrest set. When should we possibly hear or see more about this mysterious exclusive? New information for 9526 Palpatines Arrest: Available from August 2012 Price: 89,99 EUR Pieces: 645 Weight: 1,2 kg Box measure: 540x282x79 mm No information about the figs, but I think this helps a little bit. greetings Hendrik

What I don't like is the guy who presents the show. He is just so fake with his "enthusiasm" and his voice is sooo annoying.
April 4, 201212 yr I agree that they do in depth shows. What I don't like is the guy who presents the show. He is just so fake with his "enthusiasm" and his voice is sooo annoying. I thought that was when they first started. I was watching one of them do the Swamp Speeder early when they first started and he was not thrilled to buy Legos. I think now they are a bit more into it.
April 6, 201212 yr But look at those hands They really stand out I presume that if they where chromed they would flake off if you made it hold anything.
April 6, 201212 yr I presume that if they where chromed they would flake off if you made it hold anything. Vader and Threepio have chromed hands.
April 6, 201212 yr Vader and Threepio have chromed hands. But nobody makes them hold anything. They encase them in $30 glass boxes lined with velvet and drool all over them. Yeah, the lack of chromed hands really bugs me, even if I don't intend to get these guys. But I guess these aren't as extremely rare as C-3PO and Vader, so they can't be bothered.
April 6, 201212 yr I presume that if they where chromed they would flake off if you made it hold anything. I still have chromed lightsaber hilts in immaculate condition despite having played with them when I was younger I think for TLG to chrome a fig they must be pushing it as a collectors item, rare, or something to that tune-so they really should go the full distance for aesthetics and chrome the hands
April 6, 201212 yr I too can not understand why Lego hasn't put chrome hands on the torso, talking about screwing up canon .....the real TC-14 is all chrome, I think Gunray preferred it that way. If they are worried about wear'n'tear, wouldn't happen under the arms and leg joints....sorry I don't own any chrome figures so this is only a guess.
April 6, 201212 yr I don't mind the hands not being chromed, personally. If there's any risk of the chrome chipping over time, I'm fine with cutting some corners to make the most heavily used part of the minifig (the hands) last longer.
April 7, 201212 yr Hi everyone I just read on brickset that legoland Windsor are giving away a free shirtless darth maul fig with every star wars Lego purchase worth £20 or more. If this is true looks like we will be seeing much more of maul this year. Hopefully should drive down the crazy prices

If this is true looks like we will be seeing much more of maul this year. Hopefully should drive down the crazy prices I'm almost certain that the shirtless Darth Maul minifig will be given away at other venues such as SDCC or Celebration VI or both. I would wait until then to get this minifig at a more reasonable price. Edited April 7, 201212 yr by Sir_Basil_Ashton
April 7, 201212 yr I think it's fine. And I refuse to complain since they're giving them away to us for free.
April 7, 201212 yr My impression is that the front side of the torso isn*t chromed as well. Am I wrong?
April 7, 201212 yr My impression is that the front side of the torso isn*t chromed as well. Am I wrong? I think the front part of the torso has the same consistency with the rest of the chromed parts..hopefully I'm right
April 7, 201212 yr I think it's fine. And I refuse to complain since they're giving them away to us for free. I won't be complaining when I get TC-14. My family welcomes all minifigs into our collection. I'll admit the dark bley hands look off but I can live with it. Beats the rumored chrome Ewok anyday.
April 7, 201212 yr Vader and Threepio have chromed hands. I thought Vader had black hands. Ah well that's my idea out the window . Umm its cheaper

April 7, 201212 yr I'm not sure if we know yet, but will Palpatine's Arrest be a Toys 'R' Us eclusive? Palpatine's Arrest should be a TRU exclusive. I'm anxious to see at least preliminary images of the set.
