nrg Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 (edited) I'm not sure if this has been mentioned, but Amazon now lists a book called 'LEGO Star Wars: Anakin to the Rescue' that's slated for a September release. The cover art points quite strongly to new Episode II sets. [snip] LEGO Star Wars: Anakin to the Rescue Yesssss! I did know it ! It's time for EP2 sets ! Masked Builder Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 While I would love to get Ep. II sets, I don't think the cover speaks for new sets. Quote
Huntleyfx Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 ...but...but...there is a Jango on the cover... Is it bad I really hope that is a sign of things to come? Quote
The_Chosen_1 Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 I'd say it's a pretty good indication of Episode II sets to come, given that we saw this book released at the same time last year in the lead-up to Episode I's 3D release. With the Episode II 3D release just around the corner, it's a pretty safe bet that we'll be seeing AotC sets. Quote
Masked Builder Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 With the movie coming out yes, I would bet on some sets. Not because of the book though. Quote

Obviously not, but it's a safe bet that the book is being released because of the film. I wasn't looking to start an argument in any case. Edited June 25, 2012 by The_Chosen_1 Quote

Bilbo Baggins Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 I think it will be great to have AotC sets, I would specially like a new Count Dooku that is Non-CW. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 Speaking of which, it should be almost time for our "LEGO Star Wars 2013 Pictures and Rumors" thread, correct? Probably a bit into July? Not until we have at least some plausible lists from reliable sources. (and pictures, if TLG decides to unveil a couple things at SDCC like they did last year) When it's time for that thread, a staff member will start it. Quote
The Legonater Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 While I would love to get Ep. II sets, I don't think the cover speaks for new sets. Generally I'd agree but if nothing else that Padme torso is obviously new. It seems a bit curious to throw that in there. Quote
Iron-Man Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 Finally Jango will get a make over! I think TLG would be crazy not to make AoTC sets Quote
Ceroknight Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 I would love to see episode 2 sets as well since I missed out last time. I think the B-Wing should have minifigures included like the Falcon did, the B-Wing is a pretty big ship right? Quote
The_Chosen_1 Posted June 26, 2012 Posted June 26, 2012 I think the B-Wing should have minifigures included like the Falcon did, the B-Wing is a pretty big ship right? Yeah, it is. It's actually the largest of all the major OT starfighters, which is why I wouldn't completely rule out the possibility of it being in minifig-scale: Quote

I'm a little disapointed Padme's appearance isn't consistant with last year's TPM version, but then this could just be artistic interpretation and not a sign of any upcoming figure. augustus Posted June 26, 2012 Posted June 26, 2012 Hi, sorry if it has been discussed, but does Anakin have a double sided head in Palpatine's arrest or not? Thanx for info Quote

sealslip3 Posted June 26, 2012 Posted June 26, 2012 Still no confirmation on the US price of Palpatine's Arrest? I've heard $69.99 and $89.99 Quote
Masked Builder Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 Still no confirmation on the US price of Palpatine's Arrest? I've heard $69.99 and $89.99 Usually, the Euro price is equal to the Dollar price. Quote
HumanPackMule Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 Here's hoping that if we get a non-CW Dooku next year he'll share the same face as Saruman from LotR( once they make him of course). Quote
The_Chosen_1 Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 They should be similar, but not the same- the two characters have different enough features to warrant two face prints. Quote
Super Brick Collector Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 Any info on the star wars comic con exclusive set for this year? Quote
Mr Man Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 They should be similar, but not the same- the two characters have different enough features to warrant two face prints. Saruman has a longer beard and nose prosthetics, however noses aren't shown and the beard will presumable be a printed one. Quote
Huntleyfx Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 I think for the Saruman/ Count Dooku situation, I think we can look at the Gandalf/ Magneto figures. While they were played by the same actor, the figures have a similar, but still different facial print. It's possible we can expect the same thing with the proposed figure. Quote

Just like Han Solo and Indiana Jones have different faces. Lego doesn't try to match the actors' faces, but shows off some attribute of the character (like Han's cocky smirk and Indy's scruffiness).
