July 6, 201212 yr Did anyone get a good look at that new part? I'm trying to think what it might be good for?
July 6, 201212 yr I like the UCS 10227 B-Wing very much. I don't know how they could have really improved upon it that much IMO. The Super Star Destroyer was less impressive to me. Not every LEGO set has to have minifigures.

July 6, 201212 yr I think it looks pretty nice, but I probably won't buy it. Its just not iconic enough for me to shell out that kind of money.
July 6, 201212 yr Did anyone get a good look at that new part? I'm trying to think what it might be good for? It's basically this, just 2x2 instead of 2x6.
July 6, 201212 yr Did anyone get a good look at that new part? I'm trying to think what it might be good for? Not a new part.
July 6, 201212 yr Not a new part. No, Prateek is correct. It is basically a 2x2 piece from the center section of the piece Prateek posted.
July 6, 201212 yr Hoth Bricks claims a 200 Euro price, and the USD price has been the same (numerically at least) as the Euro lately so...$200 USD. Hmm. I do like it and will buy, I guess I'd hoped for 200 it'd have a minifig or two, I figure 180 for a no-minifig is fair. Oh well that's what VIP points are for! Hey, isn't October usually a double VIP points month? I can't remember. Edited July 6, 201212 yr by Bellicose
July 6, 201212 yr Whoa, I love the new model and the new piece! Did anyone hear him say measurements? It seems huge!
July 6, 201212 yr To whoever needed it... -Sci Thank you! Edited July 6, 201212 yr by Iron Mac Please don't quote images
July 6, 201212 yr I like the set and yet I also don't like it. Ah well, hopefully I can find this on sale. The set, overall, just feels mashed together. Not bad, but not outstanding like the Super Star Destroyer. Now we need a ucs A-Wing
July 6, 201212 yr I like everything except the canopy. The canopy piece doesn't really integrate that well, and I would have loved to see a brick-built canopy like the one TLG used for the UCS Falcon. That being said, I like the rest of the model. The design of the main wing is impressive. It's very simple, but it looks quite strong. The designer was using it to hold up the model, and it had only a little big of sag displayed sideways. I am a little disappointed at the lack of functions and - if I'm hearing the sounds in the video correctly - the use of clicky hinges for the side wings, but it's a display model. I'll withhold judgement on the shaping and details until I can get a closer look.
July 6, 201212 yr ^Agree. Pretty good job on the B-Wing LEGO! I will probably get the 10221 SSD instead. (Fingers crossed! ) Edited July 6, 201212 yr by Darthluke824
July 6, 201212 yr Perfect for me. It will be great addition to UCS X-Wing, Tie Interceptor and Vaders Tie. No minifigs needed, this is UCS for display and not for playing with.
July 6, 201212 yr I like everything except the canopy. The canopy piece doesn't really integrate that well, and I would have loved to see a brick-built canopy like the one TLG used for the UCS Falcon. I agree. A brick built canopy would probably allow a more accurate look. The canopy he used ruins that area IMO. The rest of it looks good. Seeing this makes me wish they would someday do a UCS Medical Frigate, but I doubt they would do something that obscure.
July 6, 201212 yr I would have liked a minifig since two of the last three UCS sets (Falcon & shuttle) have been scaled to a minifig. It doesn't need to be an exclusive one, but I think it would made more sense as it looked like Lego was leaning towards that method. Anyhoo, it's still a nice UCS. I'm less inclined to hop on it right away though b/c it isn't scaled to minifigs and I missed out on the UCS sets before the falcon. I'll wait for a sale or a chunk of VIP points. :)
July 6, 201212 yr well the good thing is that they're doing a classic sw space ship again for a UCS. Not so sure about the cockpit design though. he's been very creative to get the round curves really well, i would have chosen different parts though...
July 6, 201212 yr Like everyone else i wish the cockpit was brick built because it doesn`t look like it fits in with the rest of the model , but that is what mocing is for. Overall it is a good set and will get it after i get the R2D2 ,BUT, one thing I wish that could of been done better is the display stand. I would of been completely sold if the stand was made in such a way that the B-wing could of been displayed standing totally vertical instead of sideways with the wing not totally horizontal. That is my biggest gripe with this set , but will still get it nevertheless.
