commanderneyo Posted November 6, 2011 Posted November 6, 2011 Wasn't it in this year's Battle for Geonosis? I think there was a piece like it in that set. Not sure if it was that colour though. Quote

Clone OPatra Posted November 6, 2011 Posted November 6, 2011 I think there was a piece like it in that set. Not sure if it was that colour though. It was this exact piece, in light bluish grey. Though it is used heavily in Atlantis, it is used in plenty of other themes too. It's been in Alien Conquest, Spongebob, PotC, Ninjago, Harry Potter, and even some City. It's been around, but it's still a new-ish piece so it's not a total surprise that someone might not be familiar with it. Quote

Can we please talk about the 2012 Star Wars LEGO please? Not some boring piece that we all know comes from alot of themes e.g. Atlantis, wow now we all know hoora for you all, now lets move on. It's getting close to December and the winter 2012 stuff is almost out so get excited. Quote

IMHO there's nothing wrong with discussing pieces in providing it doesn't go too far. Besides, it's not like your post added much to the conversation... Quote
Blondie-Wan Posted November 9, 2011 Posted November 9, 2011 You mean this? No, it's not new. It's been around for most of 2011 Perhaps my calendar is out of whack, but isn't it still 2011? I'd consider something less than a year old "new," myself... Quote
Clone OPatra Posted November 9, 2011 Posted November 9, 2011 Perhaps my calendar is out of whack, but isn't it still 2011? I'd consider something less than a year old "new," myself... I didn't say it wasn't still 2011. I consider pieces that have been out for several waves of sets not new, at least it's not new as in 'new in this wave.' The internet moves so fast, things that came out last week aren't new any more, so in terms of this I would say nine or ten months old is certainly not new. This really doesn't have anything to do with Star Wars any more, though, so perhaps it's time to stop discussing it. I am wondering something: why have we got pricing info for most of the sets, but not for Jedi Starfighter or Y-Wing? I've tried searching and I can't find such info for any region on the internet. I've tried searching and I can't find such info for any region on the internet. I was wondering about that too. My guess is that they are the retailer-exclusive sets. If I remember correctly, we didn't hear about pricing info for the Naboo Starfighter or the Hoth Echo Base until shortly before they were released. Quote

I've tried searching and I can't find such info for any region on the internet. I think that the JSF was listed as $40, with the Y-wing's price unknown as of yet. I'm pretty sure the Y-wing will be $50, though. Edited November 10, 2011 by darthnihilius Quote
UCSProductions1 Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 I like the fact that they are remaking a lot of sets but the ones they are remaking I already own so it sort of eliminates the purpose of buying a few of these. Other than that I do like the new figs and 2012 and a good majority of the sets so should be a great year for LEGO Star Wars. Quote
jamie75 Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 I like the remakes for the most part. Most, if not all, of them are major improvements over the previous sets. As for them being pointless for you to buy, that's fine, more for me!! I have all the Star Wars sets from 99 till now. Remakes won't stop me! Jamie Quote

Jamie That is simply amazing, where do you find room for all of that? Also do you think darth maul being on the boxes is tied to the fact that he is supposed to be in the clone wars show come the spring? Quote

Also do you think darth maul being on the boxes is tied to the fact that he is supposed to be in the clone wars show come the spring? No. TLG is usually 1 season behind on the subject of TCW, so if we get CW Maul, it won't be until 2013. I'm seriously doubting that we'll even get Season 4 sets in 2013, since the majority of these sets are from Season 2. Unless the 2nd wave is all CW, we'll probably get Season 3 stuff in at least the first half of 2013. Just my opinion. Quote

Most unlikely, it's more to do with the re-release of the Phantom Menace in 3D in 2012. Quote

Okay, what I was saying is that the Geonosian Cannon seems to me like proof that TLG is milking Season 2, namely the Geonosis arc of said season, to the extent of its capabilities. Also, the steady decrease of CW in the 2012 winter and rumored summer waves shows that TLG may spread each season over several years. If I am right, that would mean that we wouldn't see a Maul CW 'fig until late 2013 or even early 2014. That's just my opinion, don't make anything of it. Quote

Darth Nihilus Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 We have just got a new Maul minifig and it is as CW as it will get? No, it has the OT/PT-style eyes. A true CW Maul would have the TCW-style eyes, as seen on the Barris Offee of the 2012 first wave. Quote

The_Chosen_1 Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 True, but it would also be nice if they diversified the offerings a bit more. There's a lot of great Clone Wars episodes that would make great sets. Quote
Fallenangel Posted November 13, 2011 Posted November 13, 2011 Thanks to Clone O'Patra for blogging the new commercial! http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=PhSXm5Fjy-o*We now know how big 9493 is relative to other sets. From this view, the fore end of the set doesn't look very different from 4502, but the more prominent changes in the aft end (e. g. slopes around engine intakes) improve the look slightly. More of the underside is now visible. Is that the same white windscreen, or something else? *What's wrong with the media tags? Quote
Lord Of The Fries Posted November 13, 2011 Posted November 13, 2011 (edited) Heres a closer look at C-3P0 from the new Droid Escape set: And here's a closer look at the Geonosians: Hmm...It seems that 3P0 has printed eyes. Ans speeking about eyes, look at the dark bley Geonosian's eyes. Is he supposed to be a zombie?* *Someone pointed out a few weeks back that he had 3 wings instead of 4 (Clever TLG, making it look like a real Geonosian Zombie ) Edited November 13, 2011 by Lord Of The Fries Quote

C-3PO has printed eyes indeed, I believe that's been mentioned before (or it was just me who thought that).. I believe the Geonosian's wings are just another colour, not missing one wing, and it says on the boxs that he's a zombie I'm not sure if I'm liking the new C-3PO, but that Geonosian zombie is better than the non-zombie, IMO Edited November 13, 2011 by commdr_neyo Quote
