Well, since we are OT anyway: I wonder if Lucas will make another TV serial, maybe not cartoonish and settled in the timeline of ep 4-6.

Thrawn Trilogy would create some awesome sets and mini figures. I would like to see them do three movies based on those books too.

Just to correct, nowhere has it been confirmed that TCW will only run for 100 episodes. If that were true then this season would be the last, and production of Season 5 is already well underway.

Along with that, we can expect to see the animated Lego style minifigs continue into the future as well. Clone Wars sets are popular, especially among the target age group of the show, so there's really no reason to change them.

Well, I think we'll see six season.

Ok guys, let's keep the discussions ON-TOPIC shall we?

was this one already posted?

While I would've preferred a grey or black commando droid, I still welcome this new droid, and there is still the chance in the near future that we might get other colors for this droid. The brown color might've been based on The Citadel story arc during the third season, the same season where the ARC and ARF Troopers of the BP are based on.

If only the commando droids came with those shields as well...

I don't like the shields anyway, and I think that introducing was a pretty bad idea. Since they are both simple and highly effective, one has immediately to ask while they are not used by clone- and stormtroopers. Not that I want them to; that'd look totally uncool.

Given how when TLC makes a new mold (in this case the Commando droid head) they tend to use it in future sets whenever they can, I'm sure we'll see these guys again down the road at some point and hopefully by then we'll get their shields. Well, fingers crossed anyways. I mean, it wouldn't be that much different from the Gungan shield that came out this year, just in trans. yellow and a new print.

Have you even watched that episode? Echo used one of those shields, but died anyway. That probably decreased their popularity. That, and the fact that lightsabers can cut them.

:cry_sad: I was really hoping for a black or grey commando droid, but that appears to not be the case. Ah well, there's always paint, I guess.

The ARF is not based on the version from season 3 as I posted a while back. If it was based on the season 3 version, it would not have fully striped arms. The version the mini-figure is based on comes from season 4 episode 5 titled "Mercy Mission".

I don't think the ARF is really based on any one ARF from the show. If it was from Mercy Mission, it should have a lot more coloring on the helmet, since in the reference picture you provided that ARF has some color of paint (it looks grey) covering the entire portion under the black visor. That's a detail LEGO could've included, but it isn't there on the minifigure.

As to the arms, I think you're overlooking the fact that LEGO either does entirely colored arms, or not, but it never really matches reference material. Commander Cody only has orange paint on his shoulders and elbows, but LEGO gave him fully orange arms (and honestly, it looks a lot more fun and colorful than white arms would've been, and a white arms with a patch of orange would be weird). The same is true for Gree and Rex.

Thanks for the pictue grogall

This picture must only show the new minifigures for the Winter wave.

But if so then where is Gunray?

Anyways my wallet is going to be pretty dried up at the start of next year

Thanks for the wall of figures 'grogall', I must say perhaps some of the best minifigs in SW ever especially the duelling Jedi's and those clones !

Dam you Lego stop twisting my arm, city, Super Heroes, then Avengers and LOTR....ouch, add some Star Wars....my wife is going to kill me !

Interesting picture.

I did not yet realize the slight differences between the torso prints of the Endor stormtrooper and the sandtroopers. (Besides the sandprints, of course.)

Actually, the ARFs in Season 4 are different, with new helmets. Also, I doubt TLG would release Season 4 material this early. Sets should start appearing this summer. And those Season 3 ones also have red arms anyway...

Yeah, but the season 3 ones do not have FULL red arms as I said. Their stripes only go from shoulder to elbow, S4 goes from shoulder to glove.

As for them being "different", wrong again. TCW producers had not developed phase II variations of the pilot & ARF clones before "Mercy Mission" and therefore they are both still phase I. This is evident in several images of the ARF...

First of all, the Wolfpack's color is not red like the LEGO ARF trooper.

Second of all, Commander Cody didn't have fully striped arms, but LEGO gave him fully colored arms anyway.

It looks like they went for form over function with the cargo bay area on 9493 - I think it may be this piece. Also, either it's just me or the wings on this X-wing open wider than they did on 6212.

I'm amused by the fact the The LEGO Group appears to have placed the TIE/ln's ion engines on the pylons rather than the cockpit ball.

4 seasons multiplied by 21 episodes each is 88. Next time check your math.

How ironic.

Anyway, thanks for the pics, Grogall. Too bad we still couldn't see much of the ARC trooper's backpack.

A nice picture of most but sadly not all the 1Q 2012 SW Minifigures!

Picture links to 3000pxl- version!

Enjoy!

Well anyway, looky what I found! :classic:

Thanks for sharing these grogall and brickbuilder!

I noticed that also, and correct me if I'm wrong but the wings aren't supposed to open that wide right? :sceptic: One thing I like is that it seems the opening mechanism was completely altered so that the wings can be fully opened with just one turn of the rear knob (unlike in 6212 wherein you have to rotate the knob several times). But the drawback with this new set-up is it seems there will only be one wing opening angle, which makes 6212 better in that aspect IMO since you could control the angle of the wings to your liking.
