Ceroknight Posted December 17, 2011 Posted December 17, 2011 George Lucas was quoted to saying there will be at least 100 episodes. If there were to be exactly 100 episodes, there is the possibility of Season 5 being shorter since 4 seasons multiplied by 21 episodes each is 88. Next time check your math. It isn't.. Thank you for the pictures! And the TIE fighter looks fantastic, the X-Wing looks much better as well. Quote
LegoDad Posted December 17, 2011 Posted December 17, 2011 How ironic. Anyway, thanks for the pics, Grogall. Too bad we still couldn't see much of the ARC trooper's backpack. Ha Ha. Beat me to it. Quote
Fallenangel Posted December 17, 2011 Posted December 17, 2011 (edited) I noticed that also, and correct me if I'm wrong but the wings aren't supposed to open that wide right? One thing I like is that it seems the opening mechanism was completely altered so that the wings can be fully opened with just one turn of the rear knob (unlike in 6212 wherein you have to rotate the knob several times). But the drawback with this new set-up is it seems there will only be one wing opening angle, which makes 6212 better in that aspect IMO since you could control the angle of the wings to your liking. Red Five, forward view 9493, head-on 4502, forward view From this picture, the difference doesn't appear too substantial, which makes sense since the pivots appear to be situated in the same places. The wings are definitely too splayed in some of the CGI shots, though - that probably owes to the fact that it's CGI. Please note that the angle of the wings on 6212 didn't bother me too much. I hadn't noticed the change in the function of the opening mechanism; thanks for pointing that out - it certainly constitutes an improvement in my book. Brickadeer Posted December 17, 2011 Posted December 17, 2011 Well anyway, looky what I found! With the "play" button right over the cockpit, I came to think how decent this model would look with a different part for the cockpit *sigh*. Quote
lightningtiger Posted December 17, 2011 Posted December 17, 2011 Yep, and the producer of that advert must not have watch a New Hope ever.....the X-wings left Yavin-4 and where is the Falcon or that single Y-wing racing away from the Death Star ? Ah, canon....what is that with Lego Star Wars eh ? Quote
North Lego Star Posted December 17, 2011 Posted December 17, 2011 Wow thanks for all the great pictues and videos of the new sets, I'm now convinced to buy the Jedi Interceptor, I can't believe the missiles on the new X-wing though, I mean come on they really couldn't put some flick fire missiles on the wings. Any news or pictures of the Summer sets. Quote
Mr Man Posted December 17, 2011 Posted December 17, 2011 Any news or pictures of the Summer sets. Still no . Check the first page every now and again eh . Quote
382nd Legionnaire Posted December 18, 2011 Posted December 18, 2011 With that new Lego commercial, I hope Lego stores will get an early shipment of January sets before the New Year. I have seen it happen before with Bionicle and Star Wars sets several years ago. Quote
Snowspeeder Pilot Posted December 18, 2011 Posted December 18, 2011 A nice picture of most but sadly not all the 1Q 2012 SW Minifigures! Picture links to 3000pxl- version! Enjoy! Thank you very much grogall. Hope to see very soon Jek Porkins's pictures. Best Regards. Quote

Aethersprite Posted December 18, 2011 Posted December 18, 2011 ...I am so in love with the Interceptor. I haven't been buying SW due to the lack of cash, but this set is a must get. Great ship, great figs. Outstanding, Lego! On another note - is Brickshelf down or something? Was going to look for hi-res pics on grogall's folder but I can't seem to access it. I tried searching as well but other users' folders don't work. Currently relying on Brickipedia but their pics are a little blurry. Quote
GRogall Posted December 18, 2011 Posted December 18, 2011 Seams that BS is down at the moment. Pictures are there but can't access the folders! ...I am so in love with the Interceptor. DarthR2-D2 Posted December 18, 2011 Posted December 18, 2011 When did we hear about 2011 Summer Sets? Was it in late 2010 or early 2011? I'm talking like only mention of set with set number Quote

I'm talking like only mention of set with set number It was late 2010, we got the first pictures on Christmas. We got the 2012 summer set names in October, which means pictures can't be that far away. Quote
CMP Posted December 18, 2011 Posted December 18, 2011 I don't know, LEGO's been doing a good job of keeping leaks quiet this year. Quote
cavegod Posted December 18, 2011 Posted December 18, 2011 I don't know, LEGO's been doing a good job of keeping leaks quiet this year. don't you mean that Lego haven't leaked as much as normal? Quote
StoutFiles Posted December 18, 2011 Posted December 18, 2011 don't you mean that Lego haven't leaked as much as normal? I think with the new DC Hero/Villain line and now Middle-Earth, TLG won't be as dependent on Star Wars excitement. Quote
Brickadeer Posted December 18, 2011 Posted December 18, 2011 I think with the new DC Hero/Villain line and now Middle-Earth, TLG won't be as dependent on Star Wars excitement. I agree on that. I think that the LotR license will be at least as successful as the Star Wars license. Quote
DFOL Posted December 18, 2011 Posted December 18, 2011 I agree on that. I think that the LotR license will be at least as successful as the Star Wars license. That's quite a statement there Brickadeer. LEGO Star Wars has been one of the best selling LEGO themes for over ten years, that's quite a record to beat. But i have no doubt that the LotR theme will be a huge hit, will probably be tempted to buy some myself. Still, i can't wait to get my hands on some of the new SW sets. The X-Wing and TIE-fighter are definately on my must-buy list, and i'd love to see some pics of the UCS B-Wing. (anyone on the inside who can urge TLC to leak some?) Quote
382nd Legionnaire Posted December 18, 2011 Posted December 18, 2011 Does Lego still do the toy fair for spring/summer sets? I remember TLG did it back in 2008 for the new TCW sets. But I haven't seen much news about that recently. Quote
Clone OPatra Posted December 18, 2011 Posted December 18, 2011 Does Lego still do the toy fair for spring/summer sets? I remember TLG did it back in 2008 for the new TCW sets. But I haven't seen much news about that recently. Yes, they attend several toy fairs each year, the most notable of which being the New York Toy Fair in February that allows pictures to be taken. FBTB for one always has extensive photo coverage of the NY Toy Fair. Typically, only sets that will be store exclusives in the US and other exclusives are not shown at the NY Toy Fair. Quote
