DarthSion Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 Sorry! But since the Storm Troopers are a continuation from the Clone Troopers, Which are all cloned from Jango Fett and Boba Fett. they probably all look like this.... IMO Yeah but by the time of ANH they stopped using colnes and only the 501st remained a clone army, the rest were normal humans. Quote
Muddy Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 Priliminary unsharp picture which are not to be published anywhere! Why don't we wait for official pics before we judge!? I agree wait for the official pictures - I mean it isn't like we are getting an ITHORIAN instead of Zuckuss in the upcoming Jabba's Palace set I mean that would be a huge spoiler. You can wait for Toyfair to show us what is going to be in the new advent calendar and all that jazz... Quote
Aethersprite Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 Stay on topic, guys... Anyway, thanks for the pics, fallenangel309! A pity it seems the two don't actually appear in the actual game, though. Quote
TheBrickDaddy Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 (edited) Any news on the UCS B-Wing and R2-D2? I have a feeling that since we haven't gotten word by now, we'll have to wait till the toy fair... Edited December 29, 2011 by TheBrickDaddy Quote

Sorry to continue the off topic but the 501st was the only Fett clone only battalion remaining. Either way the storm trooper face is weird, but it is what you get for printing light on dark. Jabba's Palace's minifigure seltion looks intresting but yes it is a prelim. I remember last year gettin the retailers catalogue picture not too long before the toy fair so I would say it is around a month till the next leak Quote
WookieeWarrior Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 One think I can say,...there will be a set in 2012 with something special in it...and I recommend it to everybody to buy it because it will be something that will come out and will go back in the dark shadows of the Empire for a very very very long time. I'm still interested in what this could possibly be. To quote Obi-Wan, "Curious". Quote

Brickadeer Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 Psst These two aren't on the front page Credit to Brickset 30056 Star Destroyer 30058 STAP Interesting! Where can I get these bags? Quote
MakutaNocturn Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 Interesting! Where can I get these bags? Probably in Lego BrickMaster. Quote
Rocketbilly Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 Probably in Lego BrickMaster. Brickmaster no longer exists. These will probably turn up in a newspaper promotion here in the UK and during Easter and Halloween at Target or Walmart or at Toys R US when you spend a certain amount of money in the US. These are the usual ways of obtaining these sets as of late, but they could turn up anywhere I suppose. The Star Destroyer looks good for parts and is a decent mini model, if you're into that. I prefer the STAP myself, that's a great standalone set and I'ma big fan of the similar blue Clone Wars version of this polybag released a couple of years back so I'll be looking to pick this one up. Quote
The_Box Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 Those polybags are nice. I still prefer the original mini Star Destroyer from awhile back when Lego was in its mini Star Wars vehicle phase but I think I'll grab a few of those STAPs for a couple of Reasons: great army builders, there a too few sets out currently with regular battle droids, and STAP is brown, instead of clone wars blue. Yeah, why would anyone buy the Battle of Naboo? That's a horrible parts pack, IMHO. Nice find with the polybags. Being the greedy impatient kind of guy I am, I'm still waiting to see those retailer exclusives/Special Editions for next summer. Last year we got set numbers and names on Christmas Eve. I'm hoping for one set from Season 4 of the Clone Wars, with Phase 2 clones, it would be awesome if it was from the Umbara episodes. Usually the sets from a season come the Summer after it finishes, so with Season 4 finishing this Spring, we should get at least one this Summer. For the other set, it would be cool to get a third addition to Jabba's Palace and the Desert skiff, maybe a Rancor pit would be sweet. Quote
The_Box Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 Yeah, why would anyone buy the Battle of Naboo? That's a horrible parts pack, IMHO. I think because I already own it (and got it for half off), I completely forgot about it. If only it didn't come with Jar Jar, then that would make it a true army builder. Yet sadly, TLG wants to make most Star Wars with opposing forces, excluding the new X-wing and Tie fighters. Enough of my opinion on already released and "old" sets. I really do like all the '12 winter sets. Geonosis and Endor MOCs here we come! Quote
Saruman the White Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 Jabbas palace looks to be the best star wars set of this year but they all seem overpriced. Quote
Muddy Posted December 30, 2011 Posted December 30, 2011 So is it good odds that there will be a 30057 polybag? I am hoping for a Mini Gungan Sub... The new US Catalog says you get a free poster if you preorder the sets Quote
Super Brick Collector Posted December 30, 2011 Posted December 30, 2011 Those new poly bag sets look good. Will keep my eyes open for those. Quote
MakutaNocturn Posted December 30, 2011 Posted December 30, 2011 Jabbas palace looks to be the best star wars set of this year but they all seem overpriced. For me, Jabba's Palace is the worst Star Wars set ever. It doesn't even has a Rancorn cave! It looks like Prince of Persia. Last version of that set was much better. Quote

Last version of that set was much better. Well...first, I think that it's a bit too early for such a harsh judgement. Currently we don't even know how the new minifigs will look, and I think a printed Jabba will make a great exclusive minifigure. In my opinion, the new set is superior to the old one because of the amount of minifigs alone. Quote

Hollander Posted December 30, 2011 Posted December 30, 2011 The Imperial Star Destroyer can be useful as a parts pack, especially for the ones needing wedge plates, such as me, who still wants to build an UCS Acclamator.. Quote

Wow, I'm really surprised by Jabba's Palace, I mean, the set doesn't look that big I'm curious to see what it'll cost in €.. Or maybe there is a Rancor cave underneath, and that's only visible on the back On a more serious note, this is what Jabba and Bib could look like: And maybe Jango's coming aswell.. Quote
Hollander Posted December 30, 2011 Posted December 30, 2011 [...] Are you sure they didn't made the minifigures out of 24-karat gold? Unbelievable they can ask those prices for what is, after all, a toy...nothing but a bunch of plastic. And I thought as a Dutchman, I had a hard time finding affordable lego Star Wars sets. Quote
