KimT Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 I think Grogall should have an exception for photo resizing! He already has one - haven't you noticed? Quote
Blondie-Wan Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 Mmm, I like the poster. I'm not crazy about the presence of the Darth Maul art, but I understand that's simply part of the license-wide merchandise art for all sorts of toys and other products this year, and beyond TLG's control. I'm just really glad the main image for the "front" of the poster focuses on an exciting and beloved classic scene from the original trilogy (and the original movie, for that matter). For Star Wars visual subject matter, it's hard to beat the trench run! Quote
Mr Man Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 *Snip* Enjoy! The coolest think I noticed about this poster is that Obi, Bariss, and Anakin are holding their lightsabres in the correct opening stances for their respective forms (Obi & Baris Form 3, Ani Form 5) . However Luke isn't (Should be Form 5, for some reason he seems to be using a left handed Form &) Thanks so much for the poster grogall . Quote
MandaloretheLesser Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 (edited) Sorry to be a pain but may I ask for someone’s opinion. I plan to sell my 6212 X-Wing Fighter and 7658 Y-Wing Fighter on eBay soon (maybe) so I can put the money towards the new ones. But I am still not sure if it is a good idea or not. Because I am not sure if they will sell as well because of the new ones. What should I do sell them now or later? P.S. They are both in great condition and I still have the both the original boxes and instructions. Edited January 10, 2012 by MandaloretheLesser Quote

I've got a brand new 6212 which I'm debating whether to keep hold of or get rid sooner rather than later. I want the new tie fighter, although I've got no room to display any more! Quote

mortesv Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 I wonder what LEGOs guidelines are when stating something is new? The Stromtrooper has a new torso, but is not considered new, whereas the Death Star trooper has a new face and helmet and is "new". Perhaps torsos does not count? Quote
Parrothead Rasmus Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 For some reason, I always believed that the platform lifting Sidious and Yoda into the Senate will be involved. Besides that, I do not see what else playfeatures could be involved. Palpatine's chair could spin. I'm really looking forward to this 'Arrest' set. I'm hoping for A Kit Fisto, non-CW Saesee Tinn, non-CW Mace, Agen Kolar, and a new Palpatine. I guess that, overall, I just want more ROTS sets! Quote
Vénérable Zaïus Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 Here is the poster which lego is giving away at the moment with the pre order of the new Star Wars sets! I think it's US only but not sure? The pics are a little larger then allowed but not by much so hope its ok!? Enjoy! Another great find Grogall ! As always ! I've launched an article on my French Website. If you find 300DPI pictures, please, don't forget me. ^^ Quote

Well, I'd think a new mold is more noteworthy than a new print any day of the week. It's also possible that the person making the poster couldn't recognize that Stormtrooper as a new fig, whereas with the other figs marked "New" there are more obvious changes. I can't come up with any explanation besides carelessness for why the new Obi-Wan Kenobi fig is not marked as such, though. Edited January 10, 2012 by Aanchir Quote
Nealybealy Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 Do want.. The Commando Battle Droid and the ARF troopers look pretty awesome :D Quote
Ritz Brick Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 I wouldn't be surprised if the Arrest set is set up similar to Home One, where one side is the office and the other side would be where Yoda and Palpatine fight. There doesn't have to be Lego made functions, just use imagination. Quote
mortesv Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 Has anyone seen/gotten any pictures/news of the UCS R2-D2 or the UCS B-Wing? Regarding the latter, is the any estimates of a possible release date - more specific that just "2012"? Well, I'd think a new mold is more noteworthy than a new print any day of the week. I think you are right - so the conclusion is that the descision process of deciding when to call a minifig "new" borders on total anarchy! Quote

I know you meant 2012, but it makes me wonder if LEGO SW will still be around 100 years from now. Hmm, I always suspected there was a nice side to Darth Maul. The_Chosen_1 Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 At least Santa Yoda had some kind of legitimate inspiration (the Ralph McQuarrie Christmas art), but now it looks like they're just pulling stuff out of their butts. The could have at least kept with the McQuarrie trend and done Santa C-3PO or holiday Jawas... Quote
iPodwithnomusic Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 They still just trying to promote the Phantom Menace. Haven't you noticed Darth Maul is everywhere? He's in the clone wars, on every new Lego box, and now he's even in the Advent calender! Quote
