Nightshroud99 Posted February 10, 2012 Posted February 10, 2012 You're joking, right? That figure is already in the new Droid Escape, which is in stores right now. Oh wow, I feel like such a dork right now for not knowing this. Of course, I never really paid much attention to that set. Quote
Fives Posted February 10, 2012 Posted February 10, 2012 I just noticed that Leia is holding something that looks like a thermal detonator. Either it is a plain silver stud, or it is a round printed tile. Quote
Sir von Lego Posted February 10, 2012 Posted February 10, 2012 Hi, I had the chance to get some new fotos of the summer wave..... enjoy! But please remember that these fotos are taken from a retailers catalogue and are not as new as the ones taken from German ToyFair. One new item: THERE IS A "PRE VIZSLAs FIGHTER"!!!: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/SvL/test/img_0306.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/SvL/test/img_0307.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/SvL/test/img_0308.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/SvL/test/img_0309.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/SvL/test/img_0310.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/SvL/test/img_0311.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/SvL/test/img_0313.jpg I have to say that the fury class interceptor is nearly the best starship I have ever seen from LEGO: I had the chance to see it live in Nuremberg, and it really has the SWOOSH-factor!! I'm not sure about the Pre Vizslas Fighter, it looks very prelimary to me. Please remember again, that these images are not from the final versions, for example will the finished MALEVOLENCE include tons of stickers to improve the set and will include Padmé Amidala and not Ahsoka. Also DARTH MALGUS looked far better and really really awesome "live", this is the "not finished version of the minifig. Please take a look at LOBOT. Isn't it great to see an exclusive minifig for the planet series? It will be a limited edition for Germany in June 2012 (series 1&2). greetings Hendrik Quote
LEGOman273 Posted February 10, 2012 Posted February 10, 2012 I just noticed that Leia is holding something that looks like a thermal detonator. Either it is a plain silver stud, or it is a round printed tile. It is a 1x1 circle tile printed with a Thermal detonator. This looks like the Death Watch fighter we saw in the prototype pic. Hopefully we will get a DW shuttle too. Why does Pre Vizla just have a black bar for the darksaber? I had been hoping for a Duchess Satine Kryze. Oh, well. Shuttle, then. I wonder if Vizla will have his scar. Likely not, as the episode that this set is based on is rather old. Quote
Fighter of Frizzies Posted February 10, 2012 Posted February 10, 2012 Holy cow those pictures. Do you have any better pictures of the other Mini sets? I'm curious how much they differ from the previous models. Thanks! Quote
LEGOman273 Posted February 10, 2012 Posted February 10, 2012 Lobot's printing wraps around his head. Perhaps we will get a CC set? Even Piell's head seems to be a standard head with an attachment. Quote
lightningtiger Posted February 10, 2012 Posted February 10, 2012 I've saved them before the moderator's rock up to remove them, 'Sir von Lego' watermarked images are not allow on EB (I learn't that the hard way many years ago ). Now that Pre-Vizsla's Fighter, interesting design.....might be a buy if my son wants it. Quote

Brickmamba Posted February 10, 2012 Posted February 10, 2012 Since there still seems to be some disagreement on different sites, is there now no "unidentified figure"? Have we seen all the figs or is there another one out there we haven't seen yet since it's incomplete. I was under the impression on this site that all figs for this set were now accounted for, since Carbonite Han was the 10th figure. Brickipedia is still showing an 11th fig, I have assumed they were wrong, but wanted clarification. My gut feeling is no 11th, this set already boasts an impressive and probably best lineup of figures any SW set has ever seen, all the main characters are covered other than the droids. At this point with all the media release we have seen I would be surprised to see anymore figures added to this set. Quote
Aanchir Posted February 10, 2012 Posted February 10, 2012 (edited) Thanks for the pics, Sir von LEGO! But you should really link those pictures instead of embedding them. They're larger than the size EB guidelines allow for embedded images, plus the staff get mad if you embed images with "preliminary" watermarks in your posts. I know very little about CW or EU so can't judge many of these sets on their accuracy (let's be honest, I'm not expert enough about the actual movies to nitpick those, either ). But the flick-fire function on the Malevolence is EPIC if it works as smoothly as it looks like it should. Even if it's not suited to that vessel, it'd still be cool to see used in more appropriate sets or themes if it functions smoothly. EDIT: The Malevolence's picture confirms that the top panels are supposed to be hinged down, so the copy of the set we've seen Toy Fair pictures of was indeed set up badly. Not sure whether this "redeems" the set at all since I don't know what the Malevolence is supposed to look like except from side view. It could still be vastly misshapen for all I know. CaptainCRO Posted February 10, 2012 Posted February 10, 2012 Even Piell's head is made of normal head and an attachment. I was hoping for the 1 piece head because then there would not be CW face. Quote
Aanchir Posted February 10, 2012 Posted February 10, 2012 Even Piell's head is made of normal head and an attachment. I was hoping for the 1 piece head because then there would not be CW face. How can you be sure? Yoda has a custom one-piece head and a Clone Wars face. Personally, I prefer when they have a standard head piece with attachment in many cases, because regular minifig heads are fairly easy to customize compared to parts with more complex contours. Besides, all those figs are still prelim. Pre Viszla has Boba Fett's helmet, Even Piell just has Saesee Tiin's head, and the Sith Troopers have Darth Vader torsos, V-Wing pilot heads, and Knights' Kingdom helmets. I wouldn't put too much stock in their appearances, even though the odds are Even Piell's head will stay two pieces. Quote
LEGOman273 Posted February 10, 2012 Posted February 10, 2012 I wonder if Piell will have a short (3-stud-long) lightsaber. Quote
JackJonespaw Posted February 11, 2012 Posted February 11, 2012 I wonder if Piell will have a short (3-stud-long) lightsaber. I doubt it. If they didn't do it with Yoda, they won't with Piell. Quote
WampaStomper Posted February 11, 2012 Posted February 11, 2012 When are we expecting to see decent non-prelim pics of the new sets? I know we've already seen non-prelims, but no good pictures IMHO. Quote

Brickmamba Posted February 11, 2012 Posted February 11, 2012 Thanks for the nice big pictures Sir von Lego but as you have said these definitely predate videos and pictures that we have seen recently, we already know R3 is green The Pre Vizsla is news to me and I will definitely be all over this set like a heat rash, Pre Vizsla looks very much in his infancy in these pictures, using the body from the old Mando battle pack and Bobas helmet, will look forward to seeing how the final version turns out Quote
North Lego Star Posted February 11, 2012 Posted February 11, 2012 Well I must say, the sets look really nice... Jabba Palace: This is a really nice looking set sith alot of neat little features, great details, and wonderful minifigs. Jabba looks incredible lego really out did themselevs here, Bib, Leia and Crumb look really nice aswell. As much as I would like to get this set I most likely won't just do to its high price, if it ran for 90$-100$ I would consider it but, for a 140$ its just to much, I'll try to get Jabba on ebay though. Gungan Sub: I like it, seems good size, you can fit JarJar, Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon in one cokpit and that queen is just amazing!!!!! I also like the Obi-wan hair peice and Padwan brad on his torso. I'll end up getting unless its more than 60$ than I'll Just get the queen on ebay. Desert Skiff: Look nice in back, the Front looks like a mess but I bet lego will fix that, The minifigs look great, Boba and Lando are great and look and the Skif guard are nice too. I'l get the set if its no greater than 30$. Malvolencee: I'll end up getting it just becase I need something to battle my Ventor, can't say much more until I see ssome new pictures of it. Pre Vizla's Starfighter: it looks really messy at this point, I didn't even think it really looked like that, I thought it was more like the Republic Stricker(the wings rotate 90 degrees up when in landing mode and are even with the cockpit when in flight mode). I was hoping for this set to based on the CW episode A Friend in Need( a Pre Vizla, Snow Gear Lux Boneiteri, Ahsoka and a Mandolorian)but, this is based on the episode where Obi-Wan protected Dutchess Satine. Well most likely get a new Obi-Wan in this set but, come on, just thrown in a Satine and Someone else to make lego fans happy. I can't wait till this weekend for more pictures where I'll make my final decisions on what sets to get and not get. Quote

Those pictures have restored my faith in Lego designers in relation to Malevolence. Why does Pre Vizla just have a black bar for the darksaber? That makes a lot of sense. I prefer it a lot better than those silly swords we have seen so far in rumours. Leave the swords for the Ninjas I say. Praise the Lord that seems to be true indeed. Whatever clueless creature had set up the Malevolence in the previous picture had left the flaps open. Check my sig for a picture of what Malevolence looks like. Quote
Mr_Malfoy Posted February 11, 2012 Posted February 11, 2012 I'm not that big of a SW fan, but I am going to buy the Gungan Sub. Queen Amidala= I just saw Phantom Menace in 3D, and I must admit that the 3D enhanced both the story and the Podrace. Everybody laughed at the Gungans, especially when Jar Jar said, "Exsqueeze me!" Masked Builder Posted February 11, 2012 Posted February 11, 2012 I missed the images! Nuts! Though the toyfair isn't too far away. And I do like that poster that was made, even if the minifigures don't exist. Quote
