Brickdoctor Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 Why is everyone so obsessed with LEGO tiling ships? I don't ever see them doing it. Agreed. Don't get me wrong, I love studless, but we all know that TLG is proud of the stud and wants lots of studs on their sets, so I'm really not surprised whenever there are lots of studs on a set. [snip] Wooohoo I'll bet that that's the special polybag 'fig of 2012. May the 4th and LEGOLAND Star Wars Weekend are my guesses as to where it'll appear. Quote
CaptainCRO Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 I doubt they are ditching him, it appears it was more of a case where the figure isn't display ready yet, as it's a complex new mold. And it would be smart of Lego to at least one card close to their chest for the eventual announcement, so we have yet another reason to be excited. For those of you (like me) who want a Slave Leia to go with the set, that figure can be had for $3-5 on Bricklink. I'm definitely going to get one to go with the rest of the figures. Jabba's Palace is amazing, the building looks good, and this is the ultimate set ever when it comes to new figures, pretty much every character but Chewie haven't been seen before. Now I'm a little worried about the price tag, as it seems the set could be $140, or almost 20c/piece! That Leia is old style-without white pupils. This one would be more detailed. Quote
Sir_Basil_Ashton Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 Not a bad price for Pre-Vizsla's fighter, I was personally expecting a $49.99 or $59.99 price tag. Now only if they'll actually show this ship in action on the CW. It already looks good, would look even better blowing other ships away. Quote
JackJonespaw Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 It might be CW, or it's just from the EU. (look it up on Wookieepedia if you want to) From FBTB Ooh! I want that! Quote
Arsenalfan98 Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 i'm new here found eurobricks a few months back but just wow these new sets are amazing my money's taking a pounding this year with star wats sets Quote
Brickadeer Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 (edited) This TCW Darth Maul looks awesome...new face printing, new body and printed arms :) Very impressive, but when does Darth Maul appear shirtless? Well, ! Edited February 12, 2012 by Brickadeer Quote
metalface13 Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 That Darth Maul definitely does NOT have Clone Wars eyes. He looks awesome! How'd you get him? Was he a give away at the Toy Fair? Quote

Masked Builder Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 Darth Maul looks okay, we'll see if he's going to be released and if he's counted among the Chrome figures before I decide I need him though. Quote
John31388 Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 The sets look great but I must know how to get that Maul Quote
prateek Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 The JSF and the Pre Viszla Fighter look nice. I'm ticked at the price of the Skiff though, or else it would be at the top of my to get list. Quote
Ceroknight Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 Damn, is that Maul figure the next White Boba? My opinion is really unchanged: everything looks fantastic except the red old republic fighter The Fury class one looks great The Gamorean Guard looks too detailed On the advent calender, the MINIs are just horrible...look at the Infiltrator! I do like the printed snow astromech droid however The stickered sides on the Malevolence makes it look like the designers put little effort.. Well it seems I know what I want and what I don't Quote
Bobskink Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 No point blaming Lego just because you can't be bothered to do some research (or even read a few pages back in this thread) I'm not blaming Lego, I'm blaming George Lucas, the more he ads to the whole saga, the more he seems to destroy it. Reading back in this topic, yeah right, every hour this topic grows two pages... Quote

Kitfistonator Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 Jabba's Palace will officially retail at $119.99 U.S. and contains 717 pcs. This comes out to roughly just under 17 cents per piece. oh well, this set IMO is worth it. Quote

Brickity Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 (edited) I LOVE these sets so much! Specially Jabba's palace. Some cons: 1. I seriously can't believe they used wonder woman's face for Satele and *going off topic* Black widow in Superheroes. 2. I was honestly expecting a new face for leia, but no, it's Tamina's. 3. And Padme, my dear, has a horrible CW face as well as the other figures in the set. But whatever, she would've probably had Hermione's face Edited February 12, 2012 by Otherworld Quote
Brickadeer Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 And Padme, my dear, has a horrible CW face as well as the other figures in the set. I don't like her as well. She reminds me more of Steve Buscemi than of Padme. Quote
Arsenalfan98 Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 (edited) $120!? thats going to be around €150! i can understand upping the price for new molds (jabba's torso, jabba's head, boussh's helmet, salicious crumb, oola's headpiece and the gamoereann's headpiece)but thats just rediculous! forgot the new han in carbonite mold (if it was updated remember hearing something about an update not sure if it was) Edited February 13, 2012 by Arsenalfan98 Quote
CaptainCRO Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 It seems that only Pre Viszla is not finished. All of the other new figs are. Quote

I'm surprised that face was approved by anyone. If you were take the head off and put it out by itself, the only way I'd be able to tell it was a woman's head is the red lips. Even then I would think there was something on it. $120!? thats going to be around €150! i can understand upping the price for new molds (jabba's torso, jabba's head, boussh's helmet, salicious crumb, oola's headpiece and the gamoereann's headpiece)but thats just rediculous! A very hefty price indeed. At that price it's going to translate into very expensive minifigs on the secondary market. That's unfortunate because at this point I'm really only impressed by the minifigs in that set. Edited February 12, 2012 by Sir_Basil_Ashton Quote

Remember Luke and TPM Obi-Wan back in the day? Classic Leia and Mon Mothma? More recently there's Bruce Wayne and Superman, Snape and Admiral Piett, Indiana Jones as a brittish soldier and Endor trooper... and don't get me started on the old Bruce Wayne face... Quote

Boushh, gamorrean, oola- 25-30$ each S. Crumb- 20$ Jabba-30-35$ others together-20$ Those are my predictions. 150$ + shipping=just for figs 120$=all that + 717 pieces. Quote
