I don't understand what you guys are complaining about? default_shrug_confused.gif

Correct eyes? - Check

Big mouth? - Check

Huge ears? - Check

I'd say that it is a 95% accurate representation of the character. What would have made it 100% is if Lego would have printed the red gloves on her wrists.

If you wish to blame someone then blame LucasArts for drawing her that way.

But the proportions are still off. It looks to me like the whole face is printed too low, and everything is too distanced apart. If the eyes and moth were closer and higher up, it would be a much better fig.

And is the hair a new mold, or just the Tamina hair? Because it really should be a new mold...

At least she is not friends!

Yes, but LEGO would never put a Friends fig in a normal set.

Jabba's Palace was already confirmed to be $119.99 still a bit overpriced but worth it.

Nope, $139.99.

I hadn't noticed this before, but does Anakin have dark brown hair now on his CW figure?

The Anakin from the new Starfighter set does and it look about the same color.

I really, really despise the Clone Wars "doll faces" compared to those in the Jedi Interceptor, for instance. Is there a story behind why TLG went that way? I'm hoping they start releasing more characters with regular mini fig eyes and mouths.

They represnt the animation in TCW. Not that they do it well, but it's why they do it.

Gah! Stupid FBTB changing the numbers! :wall:

If the American price changed, shouldn't the Canadian?

The price difference is absurd.. :sceptic:

I couple of years ago I bought a custom TCW Padme from Christo and have thought ever since that I would love to see Lego outdo it. For those who appreciate TCW faces, I felt it was a gorgeous rendition.

I was thinking that I might have to get the Malevolence in its entirety for that fig alone. Looking at these close ups of the Lego TCW Padme though... all I can say is, I'm glad there are those on ebay and Bricklink who will sell me the pieces for the long awaited ship without figs, because Christo's fig is far superior, and the rest of hose figs we more or less have. Disappointed Lego's efforts fell so far short, but glad someone is out there making figs that do the source material justice.

See, that's what I would have expected- minus the cape. The face is much more accurate, and much less ugly.

Really? The front doesn't really match Padme's hairstyle in that scene.

You really see nothing wrong with that face? The mouth is way too low, its on her chin.

Yeah that figure is amazing. But I think the hair she has is this one. Hopefully it's preliminary. :look:

It looks to be PotC hair. Someone said it looks like a mans hair...the answer to that is yes.

NOtice how the mouth print is still very low, but it looks good for some reason.

He mouth print is too low. Compare where her mouth is to Anakin in this picture. So I would assaume that getting her mouth higher would fix the look. :sweet:

Man is that suppose to be Padme, thought it was some dude with lipstick on

I'm not saying the minifigure is perfect. But it certainly is not as bad as people are making it to be. Plus it is likely that it is a prototype and will change.

If you look at the picture of the custom Padme her mouth is too low too. The only difference between the custom and the Lego figures is that the upper lip is bigger in the custom which makes it look better.

The hairpiece and the eyebrow shape in the custom are better too.

I haven't really posted here in a while (been busy in the LOTR topic) so I think it is time to give my thoughts on this wave.

For the most part, the CW sets are underwhelming. Don't get me wrong, the Maleveolence looks good, but they have done a horrible job with Padme, and all of the other figs we've seen before. As for Tinn's Starfighter, Even Piell looks really good, and I always welcome new Jedi into my collection.

The OR sets, again, don't impress me. Malgus is a beautiful fig, but the two Sith troops look awful. The other set is cool, but since I am unfamiliar with this time period in he SW universe, I might pass on these (maybe I'll get Malgus on eBay)

Now, the two ROTJ sets and the Gungan Sub are awesome! I do have some gripes (Boba does have leg printing, but his pants and sleeves are still the wrong color) and I dislike the fact that now Qui-Gon is smiling. The Queen is possibly one of the best figs ever, and I love the fact that they got Luke right in the Skiff set. Jabba is great, and Crumb just looks so cute.

Overall, this wave is weak when it come to TCW, but the OT and PT have been treated very nicely, and I will definitely be picking up those sets when they come out.

Honestly, I have never liked anything about CW sets and I think CW figs are atrocious, but this new Padme is a new level of ugly. IMO.... But on the other hand, I cannot wait to pick up Jabba's Palace, Gungan Sub, and Desert Skiff! I also am excited for more Planet sets, I think those are very cute.

I edited Padme's face with the suggestions people were giving:

I think it does look a lot better with the mouth raised and the eyes closer together.

Good work

I have to agree that she's looking more female in the Lego Clone Wars style, that is like Aayla Secura or Barriss Offee.
