Brickdoctor Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 Probably because Clone Wars Yoda is better. Let's face it, in the era of printed faces even on alien minifigs, the non-CW Yoda is in desperate need of an update. And in fact, the CW Yoda is a good substitute until we get that, since the weird bulgy eyes are less obtrusive in the case of a "sculpted" fig like Yoda. It's not perfect, but it's better than the dead-eyed Yoda of yesteryear. Personally, I can't stand how straight his ears are and how spiky his hair is. Quote
Brickity Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 One question, why are the malevolence minifigs printed with the CW style? I'm not a fan of SW so I'm clueless. It seems odd to me having this set with CW minifigs, and the rest (normal?) Quote

Piranha Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 Expect it to be available on May the 4th when you spend $30/$75/$90 or something like that. Just like the shadow ARF trooper If it's released for May the 4th, you'll be able to get it at LEGO stores and through Shop @ Home. Yes, I thought of that too, it has a more finalized public polybag and is perfect since they want to promote EP1 3D this year. A similar thing happened with the White Boba Fett fig, it was handed out at the NY Toy Fair and was expensive, then it was released as a polybag globally. Quote
Zilcho Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 In my opinion the Malevolence is too small and the tiny train things inside are a complete waste of space. Quote

Vindicare Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 (edited) In my opinion the Malevolence is too small and the tiny train things inside are a complete waste of space. If it were bigger than it'd be more expensive. Then you'd be complaining about it being too much money. How long is it going to be? I don't remember reading it, but I may gave missed it. If it's about Venator size, I'll be happy. Edited February 26, 2012 by Legocrazy81 Quote
Bobskink Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 Does anyone know if the shirtless Maul will be widely available, or is it some sort of special thing? I really want one! He's also shirtless in the new Clone Wars cartoons, so there is a big chanse he will be in some set next year. Quote
wesker Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 He's also shirtless in the new Clone Wars cartoons, so there is a big chanse he will be in some set next year. It makes sense with Lego's trend of giving us a new CW villain each year, and out of the recurring antagonists there aren't many options besides Maul left to be made. Just young Boba and Mother Talzin I believe. It would be cool if a CW Maul came with actual cyborg legs. I think the peg leg on the CM Blacktron villain would work well. Just give Maul two of them instead of one. Quote

Then again, I don't know for sure whether that's left-right symmetrical like the pegleg. Quote

augustus Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 By the way, are there any news on Palpatine Arrest? Or was it just a rumour, since this set was not displayed at any fairs? Quote
fyrmedhatt Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 By the way, are there any news on Palpatine Arrest? Or was it just a rumour, since this set was not displayed at any fairs? I think the set is a TRU exclusive so we will not get any more information for a while, just like with the Hoth Rebel Base last year. With the $90-100 price point it should be fairly good though. Lord Of The Fries Posted February 27, 2012 Posted February 27, 2012 finally new magnets http://imperiumdersteine.de/picture.php?albumid=7107&pictureid=96897 Thanks for the pics TLG really need to focus on what 3 go together because how can an Ewok be with Jar Jar Binks And also Palpatine with Luke on hoth What were they thinking there? The only one that makes some kind of sense is the ARF, Embo, Aurra one as they are all CW. Quote
pranas Posted February 27, 2012 Posted February 27, 2012 It's a shame all magnets are now glued, because I would have bought the Luke/Emperor/AT-ST Driver and ARF & Bounty Hunter sets in a heartbeat. Oh well, maybe someday TLG will be able to sell non-glued magnets again. Quote
1980-Something-Space-Guy Posted February 27, 2012 Posted February 27, 2012 I'm actually surprised that Lego is still selling glued magnets this year. Seeing the reviews everywhere, I thought that profits should have plummeted. Quote
sealslip3 Posted February 27, 2012 Posted February 27, 2012 Somewhat off topic, but how are they glued together? If only the legs are glued to the magnet I'd think it would be worth it to just pop the minifigure off and replace the legs, but I doubt its that easy... Quote

JackJonespaw Posted February 27, 2012 Posted February 27, 2012 The base is glued to the legs, and the torso is glued to the hips. Try this. What is most surprising is that it really works! Quote
legolandia Posted February 28, 2012 Posted February 28, 2012 Try this. What is most surprising is that it really works! I just can't believe the lengths that some people go to. Surely rather than wasting precious hours of your life messing around one can simply wait for a little bit and buy these figures at very decent prices (sometimes even cheaper) on Bricklink. Quote
