brickbuilder Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 (edited) Actually I don't think so. Becasue the set in which the fig would make most sense in comes already in the first wave. Very interesting! There is a collectible set that it would make sense for Amidala to come in. It could be a mini/midi Nubian, then. The OT sets shouldn't be that tricky if they are remakes. Just a TIE, X-wing, Y-wing, that sort of thing. And I am quite curious about the EP3 set. It could be either $60, $50, $40, or $25. It could be some kind of walker, like an AT-AP, or it could be 7749 style. I just hope it comes with Phase 2 Clones. Also, I hope the other CW set (not the BP), also has Phase 2 Clones. Fallenangel Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 Those collectible sets sound awful. I am not going to pay 10 bucks for some stupid figure that ends up on Bricklink for a fraction of that price anyway and if they are not figures this can only mean minimodels and I don´t need to see this needless branch arising ever again. Who wants to make minimodels should be easily capable of that through their own bricks and those who buy them to get bricks probably aren´t satisfied, most of the recent minis don´t include any exclusive bricks anyway. I would have to disagree with your dismissal of the MINI line as a "useless branch"; on the contrary, MINI sets in the past have been solid, quite swooshable, and cheap, appealing to kids as well as army builders. Yes, we do get the occasional MINI turd, but for the most part I think they are fairly decent. Not to mention that it's much harder to make a good MINI model than one would initially suspect: JD: How do you reach to these super-simplified constructions? Do you do some planning first or you go straight for it?TG: Just go for it! Well, mostly. Loads of reference pictures are essential and I often use an architect's ruler in the scale I'm working in; making the dimensions as accurate as possible is key to getting the look (but you can't help a bit of chunkiness, this is LEGO after all!) It can take ages to get the smallest model to look just right, endlessly taking it apart and putting it back together again. I really hope that those sets are just rumors for a couple reasons 1-I personal like two battle that have one good side and one bad side because you would get more minifigs and better speeders or whatever that come with the set 2-12 sets are too many, why would lego make so many sets for the first wave and what sets would they make for the second wave 3-dose any body rember those minifig packs that lego stop making because hasbro said they were to much like the toys they were selling those minifig sets sound a lot like that, why would lego try to do that again why would lego try to change the game now? zlego, I am becoming increasingly skeptical about your claim that you have been following Eurobricks for several years, as your posting style does not reflect it at all. Thanks for the info I 100% believe this. Just follow the logic and reason. In many other themes we see "factions" and "conflict" in one set more so now (Like the Black Pearl being POTC), why not expand the idea to SW. Agreed. Well I am guessing, X-Wing, Y-wing and two other common ones we have seen before. An X-wing and Y-wing sound reasonable. I wonder what the other two remakes would be. The Cantina and the Sandcrawler are out, the Tantive IV and Death Star are still available, and it's probably too soon for another X-34 or Imperator. Are they going to give us another Imperial Landing Craft and Droid Escape? Quote
Raider Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 Well Mirandir Said that the Minifig was coming in the second wave so observably you all have the wrong conclueshan. here is what is truthful Padme in Red robe will be released in second part of year. But the set that is most logical to have her in it does not because it is part of the January Wave Quote
lightningtiger Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 I really think we should all think about this for a second I don't think anyones not telling the truth but these sets kind of sound unrealistic I don't think lego would want to make to many OT sets with the upcoming 30 anniversary of ROTJ I really don't think lego would cut down on CW sets with the upconing season 4 and other sets that they could make from season 3 I dont't think lego would make episode 3 sets because the similarities with season 4 I'm sorry but i just don't think this is what where getting and i just don't want to let people become sad if these turn out not to be true Well, I don't think.....oh, please post items that don't sound like a broken record or skipping CD. Some of us do get information from time to time that is true. Now back on topic, an idea has popped into my head....could some of these minisets....be that a mini X-wing or something but with a minifig to go with it on a display stand ? Just a though. Quote

mutley777 Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 Well a new minifig Star Destroyer set is not out of the question at all. Hell it has been 6 years since the last one was released. We have had another slave one since the 2006 version of that set, so a SD could well be on the cards then. Quote
StoutFiles Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 The OT sets shouldn't be that tricky if they are remakes. Just a TIE, X-wing, Y-wing, that sort of thing. The X-wing is sold out on Shop at Home in the U.S.A. Hmm... Quote

The only clone in the second CW set is a Comander Cree. Makes me wonder if it is a Jedi Starfighter then, the ROTS set. By the way, I'm sure you mean Commander "Gree" as there is no "Cree"? EDIT: Never minding Gree, any word on if Ahsoka and Obi-Wan will be updated in their new outfits? Edited August 2, 2011 by commanderneyo Quote

It could be happening this summer though. Come to think of it, this year is 2006 all over again... The EP3 set is a $40 special edition set and unfortunatly no it doesn't include any clones. The only clone in the second CW set is a Comander Cree. Commander Gree! That's just awesome. Hopefully this means the set is from the Landing at Point Rain series. And hopefully it is NOT one of those ridiculous "Super Tanks". So no Phase 2 clones, even from CW? Gree is phase 1? Edited August 2, 2011 by brickbuilder Quote
lego wonkyeye Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 (edited) So much is happenning!! I hope we get a gree but would the two clone wars sets be the battlepack and the one with gree? I hope there is more. Any chance we could get an Adi Gallia or Even Piell Mirandir? WE NEED PICTURES!!!! Edited August 2, 2011 by lego wonkyeye Quote
Raider Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 If this is true It will be great for army builders and Kids alike because you will be getting another clone commander. and most likely more troops Quote
The_Chosen_1 Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 None of the above in 1st half year I'm afraid. However speaking of Yavin IV I do predict that we'll see a couple of Yavin IV award ceremony MOC:s in 2012... Wow! So even though there are 5 ANH sets coming, none of them will be centered around the Cantina, Lars Homestead, Obi-Wan's house, or Yavin base??? Not only that, but they won't include ANY Sand People or Jawas?? That seriously cuts down on options for location/modular sets. And I hope we aren't getting only vehicles. There could be some kind of Death Star set, but I don't really see the point when 10188 covers all the bases (except to create cheaper Death Star sets). Quote
White Cat Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 Let me guess.....Palpatine's office where Windu loses more than his lightsaber ! No, too gore for kid's taste . Quote
Alfa Animations Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 ok, here's what was said about Padme's set, its not one of the Collectible sets because the collectible set she would likely have been in does not have her oin, this does not disclude a "thweed Palace" set in the 2nd half of the year. Quote
Raider Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 I Agree with you White Cat. It will be a bit horrible to bass a set on that seen. because i know the a parent would not wont there kid acting out that part of the movie. But i do wonder what the OT sets will be. What i wouldn't give for Pic's right now Quote
Piranha Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 (edited) The EP3 set is a $40 special edition set and unfortunatly no it doesn't include any clones. The only clone in the second CW set is a Comander Cree. So I am assuming you know all the sets and at least the figs in them and possibly seen prelim pictures. Reasonable enough. Thanks for another hint, I assume based on the $40 exclusive this year for TRU was 7896, it will have some good stuff in it. Possibly the opening JSF scene or any other scene where clones aren't featured. Commander Gree, that is great news, probably in a set he never appeared in the show/with wrong Jedi But back to those OT ANH remakes, very possible we get a SD. Also Midi and UCS are ruled out, so possibly SYSTEM scale. But this baffles me, must wait and see or more hints So there is an EP1 new concept set that Amidala is most likely to appear in but doesn't? Throne room or something? also any hints on how the figs correspond to the concept, i.e clarify if the bricks are meant for MINIs or actually structures like in the old days (Naboo Swamp etc) Further breakdown on presented rumors: 6 OT sets (1 is the TIE Fighter, 1 is a new concept, 1 is the Endor BP, 3 unknown) Correct? 2 CW ( 1 is the BP, other one unknown) Correct? 1 EP3 ( Special Edition unknown) correct? 2 EP1 ( both are new concept unknowns, one is plausible where Amidala should be but isn't) Which means we have 1 SE to designate which could be an OT or CW set. Raider Posted August 3, 2011 Posted August 3, 2011 mm just thought that they could do it before the other Jedi got killed Quote
Ceroknight Posted August 3, 2011 Posted August 3, 2011 The new battlepack concept is so much easier for me. I had to wait every two years to buy OT related battlepacks but with this pattern, I could just buy multiples of the OT version instead. I hate the standalone concept very much, the given description sounds very much like the Ninjago spinners, I wouldn't be surprised if they were chinese plastic In conclusion it seems like it's going to be an interesting year Quote
Raider Posted August 3, 2011 Posted August 3, 2011 In conclusion it seems like it's going to be an interesting year Yea you are VERY right there Quote
The Legonater Posted August 3, 2011 Posted August 3, 2011 Seriously, am I the only one noticing the rumours gettign more and more ludicrous? These set counts are insane. 6 OT sets? The only way that makes sence is if most of those are RotJ sets- which works for me. But he claims all of the sets are remakes, and there just aren'tt hat many RotJ sets, especially with the Endor set last year and the Bunker the year before. And the supreme lack of Ep. 1 sets. It doesn't make any sence. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted August 3, 2011 Posted August 3, 2011 In conclusion it seems like it's going to be an interesting year Thus far the way we get rumors seems more interesting that the sets themselves. Quote
Alfa Animations Posted August 3, 2011 Posted August 3, 2011 I heard some where that we where going to get a UCS Cloud car. is that true? could it be one of the OT sets? Quote
