WOW!!! Nice proof that it will available in June (in Germany / Europe)! Palpatine's Arrest! Available in the shops! Thanks for the link: that actually looks very good indeed!

Sidasa got lucky. I could go to the Berlin store which is like 7 minutes away from where I live, but I'm too lazy. I'm sure they have it too. But I don't even got the money  .

Anyway. Blogged on Blog der Steine (there is an english translator), don't forget to bookmark. Sidasa is probably going to make a review soon. We'll let you know.

When are the summer sets presumed to hit the shelves in the US?

I think this set is nothing too exciting. Typical playset, overpriced, nice minifigs but nothing too new... They could have done this better.

Greetings

-Bane

I don't usually buy Star Wars sets (haven't done so for years) but I'm definitely going to make an exception for 9526. I've been waiting for this for years, and it's a lot bigger than I expected it to be. It even includes all six lightsaber-wielders, and the play functions as shown on the back look amazing! Can't wait to blast Mace Windu though that window myself. :excited:

Judging by the piececount and the German price, I'd expect this to be £70 in the UK. Fair enough. :classic:

Palpatine's Arrest is awesome!! Thank you Nrg!!! That set is everything I expected and more. I'm definitely going for it! :cry_happy: hey guys, don't look now, but I see peg holes right on the front of the platform facing us. Could this be modular and could be combined with a future set?! Jedi temple?

From a canonical point of view, that wouldn't make sense. Some kind of Senate set could be possible, although the Senate chambers are in a different building also.

Oh boy, that is seriously bad. This one in my opinion could easily have been the best of the upcoming sets, now it may even be the weakest after seeing pictures.

It isn't even wrong to say Lego just threw a ton of Lego bricks together, slapped it in a box, and said "Here you go. You better like it, because if not, we're selling it anyway."

Pros:

The Jedi speeder.

An Agen Kolar mini-figure.

Good boxart.

Cons:

The office looks nothing like it.

The speeder while cool looking, looks terribly under-sized and more like a mini-model.

Mini-figure selection is pretty weak (was hoping for at least one phase II Clone).

The office just feels like a bunch of bricks thrown on top of each other in the same box.

It looks like what a kid would throw together in his spare time.

Saesee Tiin looks worse than his CW-minifigure IMO.

One of the most underwhelming sets I have ever seen. Lego were very lazy here, and I'm certainly re-considering buying this.

Thanks for the pic.

It looks too skeletal to me. The portions on the left side look unfinished. The landing pad looks like a stack of plates and tiles. I think they did a pretty good job on the right side, though. Nice to see that they got Palpy's gold 'saber right, too.

I doubt it, they're probably just there to create some "visual diversity" along the base.

TLG's gotten good at keeping exclusives under wraps. It may have just saved a couple of weeks/months of disappointment, though. Very bland build, although the figs we've been needing in their non-CW form for a while. Basically, it's a smaller, PT Jabba's Palace. :sceptic:

I agree, a senate would suit it far better.

I really like the minifigs and will most likely get it for them. A bit disappointed that anakin didn't get a new face as he hadn't turned to the dark side yet at this point. The ship and landing pad look terrible but the office looks ok glad that the window doesn't look bad was worried how that might look. Overall it's not a bad set but it had high expectations and it fell short. Will most likely get it on sale or with VIP points

I agree. Hopefully it's a double-sided head, with the other side featuring a more "normal" face.

It looks like Anakin has a "normal" face in some of the pictures on the box. It also looks like Palpatine has a "normal" face as well.

It's exactly what I expected, and I'm really happy with how it ended up to be. And as for the price... Star Wars LEGO is an expensive hobby, I'm afraid that's something we'll just have to live with...

I have rarely seen a set as poor as this new 9526.

If the minifigs are not considered, the model itself seems to be a model from the 90'. :sceptic:

This set met and exceeded my expectations! I LOVE Palpatine's lightsaber, and it's great to have this fig in non CW version.:excited: I expect to get the Anakin fig with cape and Kit Fisto, since I'm missing those two. I would love to own the set but alas, it's too expensive for how I'd like to own it. However, I'm excited to see new pics and reviews emerge. :moar: So excited about this year's figs!

I pretty sure I figured out what those connection pieces on the bottom of Palapatine's office are for, I belive they're there so you can put the door and landing pad on different sides. Look at the cover of the box, the door is on the right-side and the landing pad is in the middle but, if you look on the back of the box, the door is in the middle and the landing pad is on the left side of the office so sadly no Jedi Temeple anytime soon but, a cool little feature.

I noticed the Mandalorian Starfighter was right next to Palapatine's Arrest, are there any pictures of that set?

WOW! I really like this set. I kinda think the floor is a bit big, but this is on my want list. Palpatine looks a little creepy, and Saesee Tiin looks very skeletal. I like this set!

WOW! Palpatine's Arrest looks

Love that we're finally getting non-CW faces!

And for French fans; You may want to check your local TRU. Summer sets are in!

Picked up the Desert Skiff today and I must say, It's great value for money!

The new JSF was 40 euros, though

Not paying that! I'll get it when we're back in Britain :sadnew:

However our local one looked like they just got them in today.

Also, does anybody think the new Boba Fett is better than Cloud City Boba?

I certainly think so

I am really impressed by this set. We finally get good non CW faces on the minifigs, a non-rage Anakin, and a pretty good set! Probably my favorite set of the year (after Jabba's Palace)
