kermit Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 Thanks for the pics , but Im really not impressed by this set at all. Maybe my expectations were more, however it is just too cramped and small and could of feature a little more details in the interior. The asking price of it is a little too much for what you get. Compared to Jabbas Palace it is definitely lacking in details and that ''IT'' factor. Quote
JackJonespaw Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 Yep. I'm getting Palpatine's Arrest just for those figs. This is an amazing set! Quote
Iron-Man Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 I am really impressed by this set. We finally get good non CW faces on the minifigs, a non-rage Anakin Are you for sure about that? All I can see is the rage face, albeit I don't have my glasses on, is there any proof that there is a non-rage face? I am not doubting you just really hopeful you are right! Quote
Combee Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 Are you for sure about that? All I can see is the rage face, albeit I don't have my glasses on, is there any proof that there is a non-rage face? I am not doubting you just really hopeful you are right! Take a look at his face in the little shuttle, it looks different then the one on the side of the box (it's small so I could be wrong) Quote
Iron-Man Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 (edited) I think you are correct! Also it looks different on the bottom of the box in the bottom left panel above the ship But again super small pictures so I am still just hoping for it to be true! Edited May 29, 2012 by Iron-Man Quote
LEGOman273 Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 Anakin's "rage face/Sith face" has two sides. Observe: This head is used for Anakin in "Palpatine's Arrest". IMO a new print should have made: Neutral on one side/Grin (opening space battle scenes) on the other. Quote
Clone OPatra Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 It is clearly a new head. Take a look at this picture (zoom in, it's big). That is neither of the sides from the Mustafar set. Quote
wesker Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 (edited) I'm satisfied with the set. Its pretty much how I expected it to turn out. Nice selection of figures, although Mace Windu's face could use some more detail. At least we're getting more of the Jedi with non-Clone Wars faces. Hopefully we'll see more in some AOTC sets next year. I really like the minifigs and will most likely get it for them. A bit disappointed that anakin didn't get a new face as he hadn't turned to the dark side yet at this point. He does come with a new face: Edited May 29, 2012 by wesker Quote
K-Nut Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 (edited) If you zoom in on it, you can see he doesn't have the yellow eyes. Edited May 29, 2012 by K-Nut Quote
1980-Something-Space-Guy Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 Hopefully we'll see more in next years AOTC sets. AOTC sets? I didn't know about this. Were did we get this info from? Quote
wesker Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 AOTC sets? I didn't know about this. Were did we get this info from? Nothing has been confirmed, but with AOTC being re-released next year I'm assuming we'll be seeing some sets to tie in with the movie like TPM did. Sorry I should have worded my post better. I've edited it to avoid confusion. Quote
CM4Sci Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 (edited) AOTC sets? I didn't know about this. Were did we get this info from? Sorry to double post, but next year ATOC is coming out in 3D. Why wouldn't we get ATOC sets? EDIT: Beaten. -Sci Edited May 29, 2012 by CM4S Quote
prateek Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 Awesome! Finally Lego decides to put all the relevant figures from a scene in a set. But what is that speeder? Quote
Darth Lurtz Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 Awesome! Finally Lego decides to put all the relevant figures from a scene in a set. But what is that speeder? It is the speeder Anakin uses to get to Palpatine's office. Quote
Commander_Rob Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 One of these things, briefly used by both Anakin and Obi-Wan in Episode III to get to Palpatine's office and Padme's appartment, respectively. Quote
Bilbo Baggins Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 I really like Palapatine and Kit Fisto's minifigs. They are great. Quote
lightningtiger Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 (edited) Looks like my son will get a total of four SW sets this year and the 9526 will be one of them....it's one of the scenes he tries and recreate with what figures he's got so to score these exclusives is a huge bonus ! To me the design looks like it's designed purely for role play hence for it's striped down look...if it's more detail you want, buy it and modify it to your needs. Cool it has the sliding doors for that dramatic entrance from the film and of course Windu's exit through the giant window pane. Yep, it's another TRU play set and my son will love it ! (ouch that means another almost 500 bucks on SW this year for him without the wife knowing about it ) Edited May 29, 2012 by lightningtiger Quote
coolguy2323 Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 Palpy's Arrest is by the most controversial set I have seen lol. I must say it is exactly what I thought it was, definitely picking it up! The only con is the high price tag. Now we just a Yoda vs Sidious set that connects to this one! Overall this set lived up to my expectations, good job lego. :) Quote
The_Chosen_1 Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 (edited) I'm a little disappointed that the set doesn't include Palpatine's private chambers, as shown here: It is where the duel begins, after all. Edited May 29, 2012 by The_Chosen_1 Quote
lightningtiger Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 Looks like what I wrote, striped down scene. This is his private chambers, though the two extra chairs are third height,....though the reason is simple, it's a play set and not a stand-on-the-shelf and not-let-kids-play-with geek set. Quote
deco_droid Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 Wow, this is great! Palpatine's office has been seen in several scenes so I think that in itself adds value to the set. I have nothing to complain about. I am so tired of ship rehashes, so more playsets are a welcome sight to me. Next up, Mos Eisley Cantina (more than just a wall and a table) and perhaps the Jedi Temple room seen in all three prequels. Quote

Next up, Mos Eisley Cantina (more than just a wall and a table) and perhaps the Jedi Temple room seen in all three prequels. I agree. There are quite a few scenes in both AOTC and ROTS that can be recreated using this set. And I think a Jedi Temple set based on AOTC would be good ( new AOTC Obi-Wan, Anakin, Yoda, and possibly younglings!) But wishlists are not meant for here. Quote
The_Chosen_1 Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 I am so tired of ship rehashes, so more playsets are a welcome sight to me. Couldn't have said it better! That's exactly the way I feel. Any playset in the SW theme is a breath of fresh air at this point. Quote
Bilbo Baggins Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 I think it's great that all the minifigures are exclusive. Quote
Artizan Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 I am only excited about Sidious/Palpatine minifig, the rest is a meh, I already made an exact copy of that Mace(they didn't even bother design new torsos), also this new Tinn's face make the CW one look good IMO. I wonder though, why didn't Lego give Palpatine his shoulder cloth thing, like his CW version? Well, I can always use the one from ARC trooper, I guess... Quote
